Rating: Summary: I LOVED this movie! Review: Its comedy. Its mafia. Its wonderful! I didn't like De Niro's attempt at crying in some parts because it looked fake, but Billy Crystal's act of a mobster at the end made up for it. Funny AND touching! lol see it if you don't mind the cursing and violence.
Rating: Summary: A new comedy team is born..... Review: If Robert DeNiro and Billy Crystal seem an unlikely comedy team...well, they are, but they are a very funny unlikely comedy team. DeNiro more or less steals the movie from Crystal in this story of a mob boss (DeNiro of course) who finds himself on pyschoanaylist Crystal's couch. What makes this movie work in that DeNiro and several other cast members have done so many serious "mob" movies that they play it just a few degrees off the usual menace and will keep you laughing through out. Not a movie you can watch with your kids though, the language is really way out...Realistic I suppose but toning it down some would not have hurt. Despite that, this movie is absolutely hilarious....
Rating: Summary: The story of a psychiatrist and the mob kind of movie! Review: One of the funniest movies "Analyze This" that I've ever seen. Robert De Niro plays a mafia boss with a lot of problems he's been suffering lately the only thing he needs is to get some help by a professional psychiatrist doctor played by Billy Crystal. Who decides take him as is patient for an offer he won't refuse. Some of the scene steelers in this comedy that De Niro and Crystal do are hilarious in most parts. Like the final outake bloopers included after the movies ending is so funny with it's moments by watching them screw-up their line and making a fool of themselves on camera!
Rating: Summary: Great cast elevates the movie Review: The greates asset of Harold Ramis' "Analyze This!" is the excellent cast. Not only Robert DeNiro and Billy Crystal, but also Chazz Palmentieri and the other supporting actors. I do not want to say that the screenplay isn't funny, it really is. But with a lesser cast, the film wouldn't work so well. It is essential, that most of the actors played in (serious) mafia films before. This adds a new dimension to the picture and makes it more than just a spoof in the style of Jim Abrahams rather unfunny film "Mafia". Towards the end, the movie runs a little bit out of steam and is not quite able to entertain as much as at the beginning. But generally, "Analyze This!" is likeable fun and Ramis' best film since "Groundhog Day".
Rating: Summary: I was Disappointed Review: It wasn't that great. It wasn't that believable to me either. A mobster going to a shrink because he's having panic attacks? I just didn't find this movie very funny at all. I like Billy Crystal. I like Robert DeNiro. But not in this movie.
Rating: Summary: It's great go and see it Review: This movie has great performances all around. It is very funny. I liked seeing Robert DeNiro cry. How could anyone dislike this comic look into the mafia.
Rating: Summary: Awful Review: One of the worst movies ever produced. Billy Crystal and Robert DiNiro embarrassed themselves by acting in this flick. Not funny. Not interesting. Indecipherable plot.
Rating: Summary: I'm pretty picky with mafia spoofs... Review: There are a ton of terrible mafia comedies, but this one seems to be one of the better ones. It grows on you. The DVD itself is fabulous - great picture and sound - with TWO commentary tracks. The audio with De Niro & Crystal didn't seem to be interactive (they weren't in the same room apparently), but it was informative. The "gag reel" (outtakes) is hilarious, but I wish it was longer. If you're gonna buy a mafia spoof flick, make it this one, though. By far.
Rating: Summary: This ain't the Sopranos, but it's frickin funny Review: If you like the MAFIA, you have to see this - Billy Crystal and Robert DeNiro are great together, and this has some of the funniest mob moments - like where he's trying to be a mobster , or where he askes "You don't here the word 'no' very often, do you?" and DeNiro replies "I do, but it's more like 'No!' 'Please God! Dont know!" or where he asks Robert DeNiro to "hit a pillow", so he pulls out his gun and starts shooting it... The DVD is OK, it's got a good gag reel, plus commentary from Crystal and DeNiro but not much else. Definately one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time.
Rating: Summary: Laugh, My head nearly fell off ! Review: Well, what can I say...... This movie rates up there with some of the greats over the last 20 years or so. If you don't buy this you need shooting. GET IT NOW !
