Summary: Good Movie.
Review: This is a good movie starring Reese Witherspoon. It is funny but not believable because no one could ever go to Harvard just over a video and the part when she becomes smart is stupid in a sense that no one could ever learn the stuff she learned so fast. Released in 2001 did fairly well at the box office and is enjoyable but please do not take this movie seriously. The DVD includes deleted scenes and is fun to have it is a two disc set. Enjoyable and recommended but remember it is not believable.

Summary: Not Just Your Average Teen Fluff!
Review: Last year, the movie theatre I worked at hosted a sneak preview of 'Legally Blonde.' I remember rolling my eyes at the hordes of giggling teenage girls going to see *another* cliche teen movie. The type of movie I love to hate. My roommate was among this pack, but surprisingly enough, is not apart of this sterotype. *She* really liked the movie, and tried to persuade me to give it a try. I had absolutely no desire, but when it was finally released on DVD, I decided to give her (and Reese Witherspoon) the benefit of the doubt. The result is not only my liking the movie and buying the DVD, but this four-star review.

Reese Witherspoon is wonderful playing Elle Woods, a soriority girl with the hair, body, and boyfriend to make her Miss Popularity. Elle is always happy and carefree. But, when her boyfriend dumps her for a girl more "serious" at Harvard Law school, the determined blonde heads for the East Coast to get her man back, by enrolling in Harvard herself, of course!

Her quest becomes much more than just taking back the man she loves; she must help a former soriority sister who's on trial for murder, and, she must prove to her peers (and ultimately, herself) that she can become a credible laywer, not just "a 'Victoria's Secret' model."

'Legally Blonde' is not your average teen fluff. Sure, it's funny, breezy, and light-hearted, but there's something deeper within, which makes it differ from the tired teen comedies of today. The film doesn't try to be too cliche which I find to be a strong point. And you can't help but learn to love Elle (who's played with comic genius by Witherspoon), with her friendly demeanor of saying "hi" to a passing student in the hallway to when she hugs her professor at graduation. Elle proves she's not just a superficial, snobbish bimbo.

But most importantly, this movie sends a message that you should have faith in other people, as well as yourself. For impressionable young girls these days, that is most refreshing.

Another treat is the wacky Jennifer Coolidge who plays Pauletta Bonafonte, Elle's manicurist. I, personally enjoyed the DVD because of the film documentaries and trivia track to watch during the film.

'Legally Blonde' is great summer fun. Watch it with a teenage relative if you can.

Summary: Blond Power
Review: Reese Witherspoon plays an airhead fashion major who after is dumped by her boyfriend decides to go to Harvard. Witherspoons character Elle Wood is left high and dry on a night she was expecting a wedding perposal. Her boyfriends family just wouldn't be able to except her and if he wants to make Senator by time he is 30, he needs a gal who is a little more serious. Elle gets the idea in her head that if she gets into Harvard and shows that she too can be smart and professional, then he will have no choice but to take her back. Once in Harvard, she is humillated and made fun of. Determined to succeed, Elle shows the world what she is made of. This movie is funny and enteraining, not highly believable, but fun non the less. I really enjoyed Witherspoons acting, I feel that the more films she makes, the more she has developed into a good actress. Supported by Luke Wilson, this is a clean film that the entire family can enjoy.

Summary: Surprising Good!!!!
Review: Don't let the previews fool you, this is a really good and smart movie! It's about a girl who goes to Harvard Law to impress her boyfriend, who in the end turns out to be a jerk and she meets a much nicer guy and ends up with him.
When I first saw this movie, I'll admit I thought it was just another one of those teen movie that seems to be popping up everywhere now, but I was wrong, this is a movie the whole family can enjoy. I would give it five stars, but I DIDN'T like the whole soriorty girls stereotype this movie had. If someone watchs this movie they will think that all sorioryy girls are giggly, shallow airheads, that are into their apperances like Elle's soriorty sisters were. Being in a soriorty right now, I couldn't help but feel insulted. But, other then that this movie is really good and I highly recommmend it! You won't be disappointed!

Summary: Check out the DVD Trivia Track too!
Review: The DVD has a trivia track, ala Pop-Up Video, with various interesting facts. Check it out! I wish more DVDs has this.

Summary: A Surprisingly Funny and Witty Movie
Review: When my wife forced me to watch this movie, I originally thought that this was going to be a "chick flick" that I would have to sit through. I was sure that it was going to be a one-joke movie. I was pleasantly surprised.
This movie was smart in delivery. There is no doubt that Reese Witherspoon carried this movie, and I doubt that anyone else could have. She was able to portray her "ditzy blonde" character as someone with true intelligence and confidence.
While the very ending is a little lame, the entire movie is enjoyable and well worth watching.

Review: I really enjoyed this movie....Witherspoon is so funny and acts the part so well....this tale tells a story about a not so "there" girl looking to get the love of her life back....but along the way she discovers herself....I think you would really enjoy it!

Summary: Good light-hearted Comedy
Review: The film stars Reese Witherspoon as a ditzy college graduate named Elle, who goes to Harvard Law School to win her ex-boyfriend back. While in Harvard, Elle realizes that she has the brains to actually be a lawyer and not just attend Harvard for her ex anymore. This movie was very funny and entertaining. It's definately worth seeing.

Summary: Not quite up to expectations
Review: I saw Legally Blonde because my dad told me that it was a fabulous movie, so to celebrate my fair locks, a friend treated me to the movie (I paid for dinner). At any rate, I thought that the movie was cute, and better than your average light comedy, but not awesome. I bought the DVD for my dad for Father's Day because he was such a fan.

Legally Blonde is essentially about a seemingly dumb blonde going to Harvard Law School to win her jerk of an ex-boyfriend back. While there, she learns how to use her blondeness to her advantage, and true to all things Hollywood, comes out on top.

The cast is stellar, Luke Wilson, Stiffler's Mom, and that guy from Titanic, and the writing is clever and witty. The cast acts well together, but don't expect any Oscar nominations. Her obsession with pink is amusing, and I loved her dog, Bruiser's, clothing. However, the movie is a little trite, and the special features on the DVD leave something to be desired (the cut-out scenes deserved to be cut out, but the Hair that Ate Hollywood feature was interesting.)

To sum up, I felt that the movie did not live up to the hype, and that it was cute to a point that was slightly nauseating. Nevertheless, I did enjoy this movie, though I would think twice about buying the DVD. All in all, it is a cute movie with a decent moral.

Summary: Clueless Goes To College
Review: Not that I am comparing the two films in anyway, both are entirely different stories but from the same genera. I could watch this film every day if I had to, that's how enjoyable it was. It's funny, witty, and smart!
Reese Witherspoon delivers probably her best preformance ever as Elle Woods, so good infact if you've never seen her act before, you wouldn't know where Reese Begins and Elle Ends!
This movie is one of the best of the year, and totally worth seeing, everyone I've met has thoroughly enjoyed this one and watched it at the least twice! Get it! The DVD has so many extra's as well, that it's almost worth buying JUST for the extra's!
