Summary: Fun Simple Movie
Review: From Justin to Kelly is a fun simple movie, ideal for a summer afternoon. It has a simple plot involving text messages getting sent to the wrong person and several misunderstandings.

Not much can be said about this movie. There's nothing to read into, and if you miss a scene you don't have to worry about being lost the rest of the movie. The direction is great and fun and full of bright colors.

The music is ok. Some songs are a lot of fun (Sugar), then there are some that are painful. Most of the dancing is really fun also...even though they do dance with beach balls and blankets.

As for the special features...well you can skip the commentary. There's nothing special there, a few fun moments but nothing worth watching it again. And as for the rest of the special features...don't waste your time. There is one deleted scene however...where it's revealed that two of the characters are gay...watch it and you'll understand why it was cut.

So watch the movie and have a laff. And what do you have to lose? And besides, it has Brandon Henschel in it!

Summary: "You're the one playing games Kelly!"
Review: Okay, I admit I rented this movie. Yes, I am properly shamed. But you know what? It's actually not that bad. Sure, it's silly, improbable, and goofy beyond all belief (the outfits alone...) but "From Justin to Kelly" is also surprisingly sweet and good natured. Our favorite ex-Idolers star as "Justin Bell" and "Kelly Taylor", two young adults in Florida on Spring Break. Justin is supposed to be a wild party boy, and Kelly is the down home girl from Texas (she is described at one point as "one bonnet short of Amish"). They meet, have an instant connection, and spend the whole movie overcoming various obstacles (mostly Kelly's evil best friend) before finally finding true love.

The big surprise here is how natural Clarkson and Guarini are on screen; they read their lines with assurance and ease. There is one good musical number, a couple of decent ones, and one really bad one. The songs are pleasant, and made better by Clarkson's beautiful voice. The dialogue is better than we have any right to expect, and while the pace is leasuirely the film holds your interest.

I put this one at about 3.5 stars. If you love Clarkson or Guarini, rent it. If you're fifteen and having a slumber party, buy it. And if you're a Clay Aiken fan, hope for a sequel.

Summary: All You Care About Is Money?
Review: I never really watched "American Idol" maybe once or twice but I had heard Kelly Clarkson sing and her voice was beautiful so I decided to watch this movie. How bad could it be, right? I'm not a big fan of musicals, the songs were OK in this movie. The acting was terrible (I'm sorry to say but thats just the truth!) but it looked like they had a fun time making it. The storyline was pathetic.

The ups and down of a relationship comes by so fast that it was so unreal. The evil friend, the nice friend that comes across as a doof as she makes her "boyfriend" lose his job and then theres Kelly the sweet, caring girl thats nice and funny with a sarcastic sense. And then theres the guys. The one guys whos a sort of computer nerd doof. Then theres the guy that only cares about the girls and money. Then theres Justin the sweet, hanging out with the wrong crowd, funny and nice guy.

Predictable? Very. Stupid? Very. Will you like it? Probably not. Shoudl you buy it? No.

Don't buy this film. The people at the oh-so-friendly "American Idol" only want to make money out of your mistakes. The American Idol craze is what started it all. Mr. American Idol and his buddies said, "Lets make a movie. Like a musical. We'll make more money!" Well, thats a tad bit selfish, don't you think? Don't help them become billionares. They have enough money for life. They just put togethar a lame storyline and dressed it up with Kelly and Justin and a few dance moves. "Thats our movie! They'll love it! They'll love anything if we tell them to!" Well I didn't. This was garbage.

So why'd I give it a 2/5? Because Kelly has a good voice. And it looked like she tryed her best. Good job, Kelly. But thats all. Don't buy this or heck, even watch it. Its disgusting.

Overall: Put that movie down!! Its a waste of your time and YOUR precious money that your givign to people who don't deserve it!

Summary: WONDERFUL MOVIE!!
Review: This is one of the best musicals I have ever seen! The rest of the movie is good too, but if you fell in love with Kelly's and Justin's powerful vocals, you will love this! I would also recommend the soundtrack to this movie, the songs are awesome. Justin and Kelly sound GREAT together! Their voices just flow together beautifully. If you like Justin and Kelly you will love this movie!

Summary: Biggest waste of time...
Review: I would give this movie a rating of -5 if I could. It was the worst thing I have ever seen. There was absolutely no talent. From the first 2 minutes in, it was a huge failure. You could tell right away that there was no acting or singing ability. Actually, Kelly doesn't have that bad of a voice....but the concept of them making a MUSICAL??? Bad call. Don't waste your time. It was major crap. From the beginning until it finally took me out of my misery and ended.

Summary: You Will Lose The Will to Live
Review: Good Lord.
This is a film for anyone who thought BEACH BLANKET BINGO was robbed at the Oscars in 1964.
The mistake the producers of this film made--and there are a lot of them--is the misguided belief that the same nation of couch potatoes that made AMERICAN IDOL a hit would sever their sizable posteriors from where they've been grafted to their furniture to actually leave the house to see a movie.
No scientific evidence exists that would support this theory.
So the movie tanked and went straight to DVD faster than Simon Cowell can sneer.

Where was Paul Lynde and Eric Vonn Zipper when you need them?

The only thing I liked about this creaking horror was that the only girl with any discernible talent (Kelly's voice) was the smallest breasted girl on the beach. Now that was funny.

Summary: How Could Anyone Watch this [...]
Review: I consider this movie to be one of the worst movies of all time, two no talent hacks that have to start their music career through a reality t.v. show make a musical! What an awesome idea! I also like it because Justin lost, so he is the king of no talent hacks. These two can barely sing and then movie executives get the bright idea to try to make them act? I would actually consider this the first reality show movie besides The Real Cancun because I don't even consider that a real movie. The only reason I would possibly own this movie would be to be ironic but yet the ironic virtue of owning it would be overshadowed by its overall [...]

Summary: this sucked
Review: i've seen stupid movies.but not this stupid.if you made an equation for this movie it would be:1 bad plot + 2 untalented people + 1 bad musical score = 1 crappy movie. if the characters didn't text message so much maybe the movie would be a teenie bit better. even the outfits sucked. if you want to see a good movie, than see napolean dynamite, dodgeball, or anchorman.
