Summary: Not quite that good
Review: In and Out is the type of film that has a hilarious premise but fails in its execution. This film could easily have had more hilarious situations had the director delved into the material more. There were some very funny scenes in the movie, but they were too little and too short. The main saving grace was the acting. It was absolutely superb, and Kevin Kline should have received an oscar nomination.

Summary: if only we could break the gender stereotypes
Review: I did enjoy the movie, it was good, funny, and treated homosexuality fairly. But I was still upset by the stereotypes portrayed in the movie. Not all gay men are into Shakespeare, poetry, and Barbara Striesand, and likewise there are straight men who are into those things. The movie seemed to imply that if you fit the stereotypes you must be gay. But, aside from the gender stereotypes it was a pretty good movie. (Granted, the graduation scene was a little dumb).

Summary: not Kline's best work
Review: Although at times amusing, you may want to skip this film. While starting off funny, it quickly degenerates into a propaganda piece for the "alternative lifestyle" set.

Summary: LAUGH? ....
Review: I thought my pants would never dry!! The "Macho Man... How to NOT Dance" scene left me absolutely gasping for air. The casting is perfect, and this is start-to-finish entertainment at it's best!!!

Summary: Lighten up!
Review: This was a light and very fun film! Very enjoyable! I'm surprised at some of the criticisms. But, then again, there are those with problems with their own ego-dystonic sexual orientation. (So, I think that explains some of the uncomfortableness.) Still, I insist this is not a GAY film. It's a comedy and a damn good one. In fact, the closest film I'd compare this to is The Philadelphia Story. (So, come on you closet queens. Just admit that you liked it and get over it.)

Summary: really fun
Review: this is such a sweet movie! not a clasic, but a hillerious, optimistic, fun comedy, that laughs at (but doesn't mock) gay stereotipes and the usual coming out story. it's very gay friendly (smells like un inside job, darlings) and people-friendly in general. and then there's that glorious kiss... quite charming.

Summary: A wonderful movie experience
Review: My big butch male lover and I sat and watched this very sexy movie together and boy did we get hot! That Magnum sure is a great actor - and what a kisser, though it did make me feel a bit sick to see him kissing another guy! What would Higgins think!?!

I would thoroughly recommend this movie for anyone who wanted to inflict 90 minutes of eel-headed stupidity upon themselves.

Love and kisses, XXXXXXX

Summary: The Funniest Movie Ever
Review: I have seen this movie a hundred times. I can't see enough about it. Kevin Kline is adorable. Joan Cusack is hilarious. Debbie Reynolds is amazing. You have to own this movie. It took what could have been a tragedy and made it the funniest movie. It's sweet and touching. It moves quickly and doesn't drag.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: top notch comedy
Review: Absolutely hilarious. Side-splitting comedy with some touching moments. Memorable performances by major players and the kissing scene is a one-in-a-million. Enjoyable, satisfying, entertainment. A must for any comedy collector.

Summary: Propoganda
Review: Pro-homosexual propoganda film with Kevin Kline playing an English teacher who is "outed" on the eve of his wedding by a former student accepting an Oscar. What had the potential to be an amusing premise quickly degenerated into a pathetic, politically correct, hackneyed piece. Preachy, sanctimonious and about as subtle as a drag queen.
