Rating: Summary: Sweet Review: A sweet romantic comedy that is fun to watch. Both actors do really great and in my view it is more than just the average romantic comedy - there are so many - it really sticks out with charm
Rating: Summary: A Very Sweet Story Review: Matthew Perry is adorable in this movie! I loved the facial expressions and other physical comedy he put into it. Salma Hyek does an excellent job in putting forth the emotion the story generates. The movie is a delightful romantic comedy about a young, successful business man (Perry) who goes to Las Vegas to oversee the building of a nightclub. He meets a beautiful woman (Hayek) and shares a one night stand with her. She disappears for three months, only reappearing to tell him that she is pregnant. The movie follows them as they overcome the [gap] between their cultures and way of life. It has comedy, romance, and serious moments in all the right places. I enjoyed it thoroughly and recommend it to everyone!

Rating: Summary: Fools make movie. Review: Just another awful romantic comedy, that's all. This one's about a New York architect (Matthew Perry) who is temporarily stationed in Las Vegas in order to oversee the building of a nightclub. One night, he meets Salma Hayek on line for the restroom in a casino. They enjoy an assignation. She disappears, suddenly uncomfortable for no clear reason. But she suddenly turns up 3 months later, pregnant and pouting about it. They get married. Then they start fighting. . . . Does that about cover it? Perry and Hayek were both inexperienced as lead actors in major motion pictures at the time of this movie's release (1997). Unsurprisingly, it's Hayek -- you know, the one with more talent and ambition -- who comes off much better. Her natural charisma and ravishing beauty eclipses her co-star's entire presence. Oh, I sat through the whole film . . . but then, I'd sit through a 2-hour infomercial if Salma Hayek was in it. That's not a recommendation for a general audience, though.
Rating: Summary: IF ONLY I COULD RATE THIS ZERO STARS Review: Matthew Perry cant act on friends-and he cant act in movies- none of those friends actors can act-avoid this one at all costs- if you wanna watch something funny watch JERRY LEWIS or something!holy jeez i hate friends-and everyone on it!
Rating: Summary: Salma, Marry ME! Review: If light-hearted romantic comedies are your thing, then this is a must see, because it fits the genre perfectly. Matthew Perry shows very little range, simply playing Chandler without the rest of his friends. It's not necessarily a knock on his acting prowess, he's simply delivering what the part called for. Salma is as enticing as ever, and as a result, the chemistry suffers a little. Chandler, all smarm and no charm, doesn't seem to deserve a woman as spectacular as Isabel (Salma). The awkward chemistry doesn't necessarily take anything away from the film, but it doesn't really add any punch, either. Chandler's parents actually bring a lot to the table in this film, especially his afternoon-alcoholic mother. The incredible final scene, complete with Elvis in the background, is one of the finest scenes ever captured on film. It is a beautiful, hilltop wedding which singlehandedly promotes this film from three to four stars.
Rating: Summary: Looking for the Music to this Movie Review: The Movie was well done... and very enjoyable, the Music was fantastic with a good mix of Chris Issak to Elvis Presley - I have searched high and low for the Soundtrack to the Movie... any ideas? Rating: Summary: A Personal Favorite Review: Delightful! Is the best way to describe this film. Matthew Perry plays New Yorker Alex Whitman, who is a project manager for a construction company that specializes in nightclubs. Salma Hayek portrays Mexican (raised in Las Vegas) Isabel Fuente, who is working at the casinos and chasing her dream of being a Photographer. The chemistry between the two is great. They first meet in a restaurant where Isabel is on her way back to Vegas from visiting her grandmother, and Alex is working on themes for the project. The initial encounter of the two binds them for the rest of the film, they have a one-nightstand and she leaves before he wakes up the next morning. She goes back to see him three months later to tell him she is pregnant with his child. He freaks out, in the middle of a business deal. She splits, because he is in the middle of a business deal, he chases, they reconcile, and before the night is thru he meets her family and they get married. The rest of the movie is the two developing and trying to keep the relationship. This set of events is the real treat. You see elements of how guys and gals think in relationships as well as their own very different cultures and personalities conflicts. All in all this is without a doubt one of my personal favorites. I thoroughly enjoy this film every time I see it. If you are thinking about buying this movie, I highly recommend it.
