Summary: Office Farce with Teeth
Review: This isn't just a women's film -- it is for anyone who has been stuck working in an office for people of lesser intelligence and integrity. Nine to Five is a paeon to the working person with some hilarious episodes and fantasies along the way. Most memorable is the scene where the three heroines partake of a particular evil weed (Lily Tomlin as Snow White is hilarious!), followed by the realization of the daydream in a highly farcical and entertaining manner.

Review: This is a deligthful and groundbreaking comedy that works extremely well on many levels. Taking serious issues and still creating hilarious situations. The film has some excellent performances by Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda but it's Dolly Parton who dazzles. She makes one of the most memorable film debuts in movie comedies. She is a natural who charms and excels in this enjoyable and now classic film.

Summary: 9 to 5 hours of great comedy
Review: If there were ever a great casting moment in hollywood, the resulting trio of Parton, Tomlin and Fonda would be it. These actresses compliment each other perfectly in the best office/working-girl comedy ever made and one of the best overall comedies, up there with Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Caddyshack. This film embodies what true comedy should be: good acting chemistry, a solid storyline and a meaningful, satisfying ending. The hilarious romp we call 9 to 5 richly deserves every one of the five stars other reviewers and I gave it. Because of its female-dominated cast, though, movie critics and promoters did not give it the attention it deserves.

Review: THIS MOVIE IS ONE OF THE MOST RARE AND LOOKED OVER TREASURES OF THE 80'S. ALL THREE ACTRESSES WILL HAVE YOU CRYING FROM THE MERCY OF THEIR HUMOR. DO NOT PASS THIS ONE UP. IT'S AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE.

Summary: One of the funniest movies of all time!!!
Review: What a great movie this is!! I have seen it so many times, but I still love it. All three women were absoultly wonderful in the movie!! It is hard to imagne that this was Dolly's first film, what a wonderful performence!! Lily Tomlin showed us that she still can do it and has the greatest one liners in the film, especially in her dream sequence. Jane Fonda, what to say about her? WOW!! What a funny performence!! She goes from drama to screw ball comedy in the drop of a hat basically (a hat which WILL require its own locker)The could have not picked a better cast for this movie. These women are truely talented in their own ways and this movie just flows their talents into one !! If you have not seen this movie, I HIGHLY recomend it!!

Review: I just got through watching this movie agian and I still crack up everytime I see it. I love the dreams, especially Lily Tomlin's, it just proves what a wonderful actress she is. GREAT MOVIE!!!! BUY IT

Review: I finally bought this one on video after seeing it a zillion times on television. It makes me laugh out loud almost 20 years later. Lily Tomlin has some of the best one liners and Dolly Parton comes across so naturally that its hard to believe this is her first film. And of course Jane Fonda proves that she can go from intense drama to screwball comedy at the drop of a hat (which will require it's own locker--see the film, funny inside joke). It's 20 plus minutes of absolute hysteria. Buy it.

Review: 9 to 5 changes the entire work scene of todays office jobs. Today there are still alot of harassment from bosses, but people do Bite Back. I have my own company, and nobody works for me. It's a way to make a living working for yourself. My hours : 9 to 5.

Review: This I do believe is one of the best films Dolly has been in! They couldn't have chosen better people to play the parts! If you havent seen this film then your missing a whole lot!
