Rating: Summary: "real xtacy none of that crunchy herbal rave crap" Review: Rave crap is about right: saw this garbage on cable the other day. (On USA the best network. Man i miss up all night with RONDA. cant even get quality camp on that channel anymore Now they just play the type of garbage you cant even laugh at) I remember this one had alot of those dumb cliche lines they have people say on tv when they get high... Man its like ZOOOOM makes you wanna say hey man hows the ground out there... Ah and they had people huffing wipped cream cans real cool real classy.First i had to watch the rave scene ruin techno. That music was not suppossed to be what these dumb kids turned it into. Then i had to watch this movie. good thing i couldnt find my gun. Listening to the lowsy music and cliche' clever dialouge made me feel sick. This is a great movie if you like to watch inacurate depictions of lame scenes full of dumb kids with big pants. (they couldve atleast thrown in some KIDS with baggy clothes and baby toys to make it real) if you like faux indie films with all the cliches and none of the art this is a great movie. Back in the day we had films that were art by the likes of Jan Svankmajer, Jean-Luc Godar, or Fritz Lang. Then in the ninties indie faux artsy films came in style and people started massproducing crap with an imitation artsy indie feel. (never even heard the term indie film till the 90s thought they were race car movies at first) People loved it. Theyd sit around and watch this crap and feel all posh. heres a hint: if its got any of those wonderful actors from dawsons creek its going to be geared towards young people and its probably not going to be artsy and its certainly not going to be independent. Bottom line: This is a movie without any soul or artistic value. I hope they dont sell the soundtrack if they do ill have to find my gun...i really need to cancel cable so this doesnt happen to me again. ive spent too much time watching crap like this on tv while my jaw hangs open and i drool on my shirt
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite movies Review: I own GO on dvd, vhs, and the soundtrack. I also own Pulp Fiction and I honestly don't think that Pulp Fiction can hold a candle to Go. Go is on a completely different level, the only thing the two movies share is the same format. This movie IS original and has a fast-paced edge to it that makes it a unique movie I can watch over and over again.
Rating: Summary: Not Always Quite There, But Has Many Fine Moments. Review: Quite an enjoyable movie with an overall good quality. However, I do feel that whole scenes are sometimes overdone and not at all edgy or whatever you'd call it. Thankfully it never bored me, and there was always that bit that made it worthwhile. Ronna, I believe her name was (Sarah Polley), delivered a striking performance, enlivening the screen with that attitude so often important in such movies (Reservoir Dogs comes to mind, and Pulp Fiction). The others, however unknown to me, were good also (one or two exceptions). So, don't let my feeble complaints get in your way. The story is fast with lots of humor. Great!
Rating: Summary: One time is never enough! Review: I saw GO!the first week it was out in theaters and absolutely loved it. The twists and turns keep you right there in the center of the action the whole time. This is one of those movies you can watch again and again and catch little things here and there you've missed in the past. All in all, a great comedic, action packed fun filled ride!
Rating: Summary: Great fun!! Review: I picked up this DVD really cheap in the local store recently, not expecting much to come of it, but i was remarkably surprised to see such a fresh, fast paced, frequently funny and well acted little movie. Add to this a sparkling script and nifty direction from Doug Liman and you end up with a really great way to pass a couple of hours and be entertained!!
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite movies. Review: I didnt see this movie when it first came out. I didnt think it looked like anything special but I was wrong. I couldn't believe how good it was. I was hooked right from the begining. Its so cool how throughout the movie we see the point of view from a different main character. The movie has something for everyone. Car chases, shootings, raves and drugs, popular music, and its funny too. Easy material to follow. the guy who played the drug dealer is one of the best actors i've seen. he was so believable in his role. awesomeeeeeeeee movie.
Rating: Summary: FAST MOVING AND EXCITING Review: AN EXCELLENT AND EXCITING AND VERY VERY FAST MOVING STORY. ONE OF THE MOST ORIGINAL STORY LINES. Rating: Summary: Ahh, to be young and impulsive..... Review: This is a fun film. Doug Liman has followed Swingers w/ another fun-filled movie. This time it is about how teens can get themselves into big trouble, but somehow find a way to get out of the mess. The film reminds me of 2 Days in the Valley (just off-center and slightly wacky) and Pulp Fiction (a story form multiple characters' view points). The young cast acts well. The DVD looks and sounds great. And the bonus features are pretty decent.
Rating: Summary: Cool Actors, Cool Plots, Cool Movie Review: Meet Ronna: she's a bad eighteen-year-old with a passion for sarcasm and a heart of cold. She's about to get evicted on Christmas, so she ends up getting caught into a deal that ends up getting into 2 other story lines. This movie was a great part of 90's nostalgia filled with an awesome soundtrack and a young, hip actors to add to the spin. It's all about adut happenings, and dance raves in the lives of these L.A. hipsters.
Rating: Summary: Unexpected-Fun and Smart Review: I won't bore you with the story line as it is repeated several times by many other reviewers. I will tell you that this movie has an ingenious story line that keeps you guessing, the only problem is, the true value of the movie comes by knowing very little about it and not knowing what to expect, once you've seen it, the surprises aren't as good anymore. The initial viewing of this movie is fantastic though. Keeps you guessing and wanting more. The last line was perfectly chosen and sums it all up. Watching the outtakes really gives me appreciation for the actors and just how tough it would be to pull off. Another note, this movie was picked up by the big Hollywood folks after it was complete, which gives it a gritty 'real movie' feel. Not full of all of that Hollywood junk we're all so used too.
