Summary: Dark Comedy Never Slows Down
Review: Starting with the rapid, music-video editing of the opening shot, it is apparent that Go is going to be a very bumpy ride. From the drug scene in L.A. to the pitfalls of Las Vegas, this movie shows a dark world filled with danger. But even through drugs and violence are nothing to laugh about, the horrifying circumstances that come to play are oddly amusing. Go attempts to tell the film from several different points of view, much in the same way Pulp Fiction did. It begins with Ronna (Sarah Polley), a teenage checkout girl at the local grocery who can't pay her rent and faces eviction. When two guys come into the store looking to buy drugs, she sees an opportunity to increase her income. She drags her friends Mannie (Nathan Bexton) and Claire (Katie Holmes, television's "Dawson's Creek") into her plan, using Claire as collateral on her drug buy. Of course, Ronna doesn't really understand the consequences of what she is getting into.

But as the story of Ronna's poor career choice is played out, the story rewinds and follows Simon (Desmond Askew) who has road-tripped with his buddies to Las Vegas. While Ronna's story is one of drugs, Simon's is about sex and violence. Then the story flips to Adam (Scott Wolf, television's "Party of Five") and Zack (Jay Mohr, 200 Cigarettes), the guys who started the whole story by asking Ronna if they could buy drugs from her.

The twists and turns in Go will keep the audience interested once the movie gets off the ground. The beginning is slow, but the story picks up quickly after the major characters are introduced. While none of the characters are exactly protagonists, we do root for them despite their faults. Ronna's only fault is that she's inexperienced, but Simon is an idiot who seems to cause trouble wherever he goes.

Despite the rather large cast, the acting is nothing to shout about. None of the performances were outstanding. In fact, I'd say at most they were functional. William Fichtner (Armageddon) was probably the best, as Burke, a cop using Zack and Adam to trap drug dealers. A brief appearance by Jane Krakowski (Elaine from television's "Ally McBeal") was also a welcome surprise.

The fast-paced editing lends itself well to the story. The scenes of Mannie tripping are well done, making the audience disoriented by his perceptions. The quick editing also works well in the Vegas part of the story, where the flashing lights and neon add to the weirdness going on there.

For mature film aficionados, it's an interesting dark comedy. I think it should be obvious from the details of the review that Go is not a movie for kids, but it's also not a movie for teens. The themes of drug use, violence, and sex are promoted without consequence, which is the main thing about the movie that bothered me.

Summary: Great Movie for the younger generation
Review: This is not a movie for someone from the yuppie or baby boomer generation, more like gen x and y. People that have been in the drug scene or know something about it, will get the humor in this movie. If you are against drugs you will probably not like this movie too much. Overall it is great and has a really good plot. I find it is similar to Two days in the valley or somewhat like a pulp fiction, same style.

Summary: well-paced, fun, not too far-fetched
Review: This movie keeps you guessing from beginning to end. Personally I did not see the comparison to Pulp Fiction which was overwrought with violence, but that's a different review now. This movie has good character development, an unpredictable plot and provides plenty of nervous laughter. The first time I saw it I watched it twice, back to back to soak up all the details. Hold onto your seat and have fun!

Summary: THIS IS NOT PULP FICTION!
Review: Just because the plot double backs on itself does not make it Pulp Fiction. It also has people in it, was shot on film and involved a scene in Las Vegas - this does not make it National Lampoons Vegas Vacation. Go and see Go has been the oft used tag line, unfortunatly the users of such hackney lines are right on this occassion. And with an old face from Grange Hill you can hardly go wrong. DVD extras are pretty cool too.

Summary: Like A Rollercoaster Ride!
Review: Just like "Pulp Fiction" a helluva rollercoaster ride! Scene overlays, plot twists, funny dialogue and interesting situations make this a must-see DVD. The extras loaded on the DVD keep you playing it well after the movie's over.

Summary: A good film with a lot of cool perks
Review: The movie is pretty good with a funny, twisting plot. The extras on the DVD make it a good buy. The music videos are good and there are plenty of extra scenes.

Summary: A witty must see comedy!
Review: Go is a witty, hilarious must see comedy! If you liked Pulp Fiction or even if you didn't you have to see Go! Scott Wolf and Jay Mohr have the best roles in the whole film has two gay soap opera actors who are trying to beat a drug rap by getting Sarah Polley to sell them some drugs which are really baby aspirin! I am not going to say anymore because I cannot do this movie any justice typing about it, just go see it!

Summary: Great movie and Sarah Polley is soooo Brilliant!
Review: This film will remind some people of stupid and potentially dangerous situations that they may have ended up in just to find a joint. I loved the structure and became a hugh Sarah Polley fan right away. This film also made me hot and I would give anything to be "trained" by Scott Wolf (or by anyone for that matter).

Summary: VERY STRANGE FILM!
Review: I purchased this DVD based on the review given to the film by a professional "reviewer" in this country who gave it 7/10. It is the first and last time I buy a DVD based on the opinion of a third party. All in all the film and the acting were of a reasonable quality, but other than a few laughs, it did not appeal to me at all. I have a serious aversion to drug abuse and any movie which glorifies it as, in my opinion, this one did, I tend to find rather distasteful, as I did Pulp Fiction, which was a much better film.

Summary: A great movie
Review: Go is a great and refreshing ride. It isn't original but John August's screenplay is great and Liman know how to made a movie with it. The performances are fine, specially Sarah Polley and Desdemond Askew.
