Summary: Tonight's Battle: Hank Baileygates vs. Charlie Baileygates
Review: The plot of this movie seems to be somewhat alike to the plot of Jim Carrey's 1996 hit "Liar Liar". An average, hard-working citizen is living his life peacefully and successfully, but is thrown a curveball one day when an uncontrollable force alters him and the appearance of everything around him. In "Me, Myself and Irene", Charlie Baileygates is a Rhode Island police officer who is taken advantage of regularly. Jim Carrey's role is unchangeably naive. This characteristic is featured in one of the early scenes, where his long-term girlfriend leaves him for a midget. For the umpteenth time, Charlie acts helpless and fails to do anything for himself all by himself. As Charlie's personality progresses with no sign of fighting back, a spark is finally lit in his subconscious mind. Out of nowhere, another person is born inside of Charlie named Hank. He is everything that Charlie lacks and has several other problems that weren't supposed to become involved. This alter ego helps Charlie become a less gullible man. Irene, an endangered woman, is the first person to discover Hank. She, more or less, follows Charlie around throughout the movie for safety's sake on a journey across the state. Charlie willingly risks life and limb to keep Irene vertical, while Hank conducts himself as a pervert toward her and anyone else that he interacts with. A campy classic, "Me, Myself and Irene" passes a rapid flow of quips and puns to the plot. Every joke is funny, but a small number of them involving his 3 African-American sons are repititious and a handful of other jokes show offensiveness. These minor setbacks do not stop it from being one of the better masterpieces of comedy brought to us by 20th Century Fox. Carrey and Zellweger work well together and give this movie a good name.

Review: I thought that Me, Myself, and Irene was a fabulous movie by the greatest filmmakers- the Farrley brothers. The movie is a bout double personality cop Charley Baileygates and just a bunch of wacky other things. He meets Irene( Renee Zellwegger) and falls in love with her. They go on a road trip to get away from the feds. And here is the best part of the movie. At a diner they meet a man that is pale white (forgot what they call them) and Carrey is brilliant as he takes off with crazy jokes about him. I thought a brilliant part of the movie was Carrey's three black full grown sons. They were hysterical and really made the movie shine even more. I won't give away anymore about this fabulous edition to the works of The Farrley brothers. This is a must see movie. Kudos to the bros. HAPPY VIEWING!

Summary: Maybe If You're Twelve...
Review: If you're a fan of Jim Carrey's, your patience will be sorely tested with "Me, Myself and Irene," a strident, would-be comedy in which Carrey plays a schizoid Rhode Island cop with his usual rubberized facial tics and mannerisms, but there's no spontaneity in Carrey's performance this time around. His shtick feels fermented, used up, as if he's finally emptied his bag of tricks. A similar problem trips up the Farrelley Brothers, who co-wrote and directed "There's Something About Mary," and this time try desperately to up the ante with more flatulence, a live chicken, a large sex toy, to name just a few moments. It's as if the Brothers were saying, "If you thought we were gross in 'Mary,' wait till you get a load of this!" Unfortunately, desperation isn't a good tone for comedy. Sadly, "Me, Myself and Irene" isn't shocking or even offensive, much less funny. If anything, it may make you feel as if you're listening to a very ill-tempered five year old child who won't stop repeating his favorite fart joke. Enough already.

Summary: Jim Carrey's 1st real raunchy comedy sells tickets
Review: Before I saw Me, Myself and Irene, I expected it to be an innocent, quiet movie that would modify the plot more than tell jokes. Unexpectadly, it was hysterical and the jokes were original. The entire idea of three black sons was unforgettable. They were funny playing the academic genius sons of an average citizen father. Renee Zellweeger looked very striking, and Jim Carrey complemented her well. The only reason I am taking a star off is because three or four of the jokes really crossed a line. A few of the jokes were downright sick, but it is an original movie with good acting. Brendan Shanahan, the superstar Detroit Red Wings left wing, did a very convincing role. Don't miss this; but if you want to watch it with a pre-teen, be careful.

Review: By now you've probably read reviews of this movie saying it wasn't as funny as Theres Somethng about Mary. This to me was completely untrue. From beginning to finish, this movie was filled with comic genius. Renee Zellweger really put up a great performance, but by far his three sons were the most enjoyable. Jim Carrey put on a good performace, but I will say this was not his best. The Farrelly brothers have done it again I say. But since this is a Farrelly brothers movie, all those lovable disgusting parts are in. I'm glad this comedy came out because i havn't seen an intelligent yet stupid comedy since Theres Momething about Mary

Summary: I love Jim Carrey believe me :)
Review: A Farrelly brother movie has a certain feel. There's always a uniqueness, always taking it one step further than the normal person would - Jim Carrey lighting his farts in Dumb and Dumber, Woody Harrelson "milking the cow" in Kingpin, The singer in There's Something About Mary - but this film doesn't have that. The closest it gets is with the character "Whitey" - and for about 5 minutes it feels like a Farrelly brothers movie. Laughing so hard you don't catch the next joke. I wonder why this happened and would assume that the pressure of having a 20 million dollar actor changes the way a writer and director would write and act. There are some funny parts in this, don't get me wrong. The dwarf limo driver stealing his girlfriend, his young boys who are "tan all year long," but that's the point - the funny parts generally involve subplots and the movie focuses too hard on Carrey/Zellweger. Carrey is only funny as Hank, and only remotely. Drowning the child, etc. But the movie just doesn't ever switch it into high gear. I think my point can best be explained at the very end of the movie, during the credits. They show a cut scene where Whitey is looking through his binoculars/glasses and sees an airplane - in the film, he just sees people. In the cut scene, he sees someone mooning the world out of the window. Another cut scene, involves an 'American Pie' type scene, where Jim makes love to a watermelon. The scene was cut, but there's still a watermelon in the corner of the room in the movie, with a strange hole in the middle. I can't quite explain why this movie just didn't do it - and therein I would encourage you to see it. If nothing else, you'll get a horrible way to refer to Albinos (as they gave us for mentally handicapped people with Matt Dillon's "goofy bastards in There's Something About Mary). Give it a try. And a little aside - Now, for those of you who have seen this movie, imagine for a second Chris Farley playing the lead role - I think that'd be absolutely hilarious. But for whatever reason, Carrey just didn't ignite the screen as he should.

Summary: A Raunchy Bag Of Laughs
Review: Jim Carrey is one of the best comedic actors and that's all there is to say. And to prove that he goes and makes another hilarious movie like Me, Myself, and Irene. I don't think anyone could pull this thing off but him. The Farrelly brother's story takes place in Rhode Island where we follow Charlie Bailey-Gates (Carrey), who works as a local law enforcement agent that snaps once and for all. The doctors tell him that he has a split personality disorder. After that, all heck breaks loose and Charlie's other half Hank comes out to play. Renee Zellweger plays Charlie's and Hank's love interest. I have to tell you that you have to watch this movie to see some of the most crazy and raunchy jokes I have ever seen. If you're a Carrey fan, then this is a must have DVD.

Review: No this is a good DVD. An amazing transfer,crisp sound , funny deleted scenes and a great commentary. Jim Carrey is hillarous as always.

Review: Jim Carry has never been a funny guy, despite what his many supporters say, and this film is further prove of that as he uses more blue, vulger jokes then in any other movie. They are not funny and show why comedy has fallen to such low standards these days.

Summary: There's Something About Carrey
Review: There are about 4 or 5 scenes in this film that literally had me falling out of my seat (the only other films to ever do that were "The Nutty professor" {the dinner with the family scenes} and "Blazing Saddles"), the rest of the film could have been Jim watching paint dry, and it would still get 5 stars. But Jim doesn't watch paint dry, he nearly kills himself with his physical form of comedy, and boy does it pay off. There is no other comedian on the planet (Eddie Murphy is Hot on Jims tail) that can be as hysterically funny as Jim. He is a true geneous. The rest of the cast all play third fiddle to Charlie and Hank, though his three sons get their fair share of laughs. An all-round Comedy Classic. PS. For Real Jim Carrey fans, its worth the price just to hear Jim finally say the F word.
