Review: I went to a pre-release viewing of this film simply because of the title-- I love football (soccer) and thought this would be a football movie. It turned out to be a comedy about a young Indian girl whose parents won't let her play on an amateur squad. Family, growing up, finding yourself-- not themes normally found in movies I watch. However, this film is seriously funny. I have not been that entertained by a movie in a long, long time. The culture clash is briliantly executed, much like a Beckham free kick. This movie is definately worth the time and money. In fact, I'm taking my girlfriend so I can see it again.

Review: Like everyone else who reviewed this film, I watched it last summer outside of USA. It was the biggest box office film of 2002 in the UK. I would say that this is a girlpower film without all that drama and cheesyness of Disney Productions. It's a film about first love, ambition, rebellions and sacrifices. Please watch it and cheer along!

Review: I saw that movie during a trip to London in Spring 2002. I was dead laughing from begining to end. And no mather the cultural background it seems that girls playing soccer is not decent LOL, I saw it with my bf who is indian and we both really loved it. Treat yourself good, see it!
