Summary: Remake of the original
Review: This is an almost scene for scene amd line for line remake of the original "Parent Trap". Linsay Lohan plays the twins. The girls are named Annie and Hallie instead of Sharon and Susan. And the Annie (Sharon) sister lives in England and the Hallie (Susan) sister lives in Napa valley. I like this movie slighly more than the original. The "Parent Trap" did not boost Linsay Lohan's career like it did Haley Mills'

Summary: Good Remake.
Review: This is a good remake, but Lindsay Lohan just is not a good as Hayley Mills.

Summary: Forever a Classic Disney Film!!!
Review: Being a teenager, I am not usually into the Disney films, but once I saw The Parent Trap five years ago, I fell completely in love with the movie. The Parent Trap is about two girls, Annie James and Hallie Parker who come from two completely different worlds. When they meet at Camp Walden, it seems that they would be enemies for life. Soon after arriving, they figure out that they are twins. Annie had lived with her famous gown designing mother in London her whole life and Hallie had lived with her vintner father in Napa, California, so they decided to switch places and meet the parents they had never met. After trying to live through Camp Walden, lying to their parents about their identities and battling an evil step-mother-to-be, this movie has a fairy-tale ending that will make you want to watch this movie again and again.
This is one of my favorite movies, still up to today. The actors are superb and the story line is unforgettable. Overall, this is a classic movie that will be remembered forever!

Summary: The Parent Trap - great movie!
Review: For anyone who doesn't think they'll like the movie because they did't like the old one, think again. It's the best movie on earth, with very modern updates from the first film starring Haylie Mills. It also has more than a few clever twists that make this movie great. The to-be "evil" stepmother, a woman named Meredith, had quite a few hilarious habits and a few scenes, one involving a lizard in her mouth and the other wih her air matress floating the middle of a lake make it extrmely funn and a great movie for kids and adults.

Summary: A ton of fun!
Review: I am sixteen and grew up watching the Hayley Mills version of the Parent Trap. At age eleven (the same age as Annie and Hallie are in this movie) I saw this movie and fell in love with it. Two days ago I watched it again (I got it for Christmas in 1998) and fell in love all over again. So whether you are old, young, or in between, watch this movie for a fun treat!
Hallie Parker (Lindsay Lohan) is an 11 year old, spoiled, bratty, spunky redhead whose dad (Dennis Quaid) is a super rich vineyard owner from Napa, CA. Despite being a little brat, she is rather likable. Annie James (also Lindsay Lohan) is an 11 year old, spoiled, bratty, spunky redhead whose mom (Natasha Richardson) is a super rich up and coming wedding gown designer from London, England. She is also very likable. As far as Annie and Hallie know, each has only one parent (the parents divorced when the two were babies) and is an only child. That is until they wind up at the same summer camp. Annie and Hallie are immediately bitter enemies (both fun, cute, and rich, so why not hate each other?) until their Prank War goes to far and they end up spending the rest of their camp days in an Isolation Cabin with lots of time to spend alone talking about their life stories. It doesn't take them long to figure out that they are twins. They soon decide to switch places and get to know their other parent...hoping that when the parents un-switch them Mom and Dad will see each other, fall in love, and live happily ever after. Perfect plan, right? (ok, so this plan is unbelievable, but just go with it b/c it's fun). There's only one problem. While little Hallie was away at camp, her loyal dad fell in love with a hot young long-legged beauty who only likes him for his money. So before the parents can fall in love again, Annie and Hallie must break up their dad and his new fiancée.
This whole movie is a fun ride from beginning to end. Yes, it is predictable but if you are in the mood for a sweet, funny, adorable romantic comedy, this is the movie for you!
P.S. Watch out for a super cute secret handshake between Annie and her butler; also look around for Hallie singing "Let's Get Together" in an elevator--a tribute to the Hayley Mills version.

Summary: great fun
Review: This film is almost as good as the original, and I am very biased about the original. It is one of my favorite films ever. My wife has the VHS of this new version and has watched it over a dozen times. The characters are all believable and fun. Watch for the cameo of one of the actors from the original.

Summary: I'm the biggest fan of Lindsay Lohan!!!
Review:

This is the best movie in the whole world! Much better than the original. I enjoyed every single second of it.

Walt Disney is sooo good and I'm a huge fan of it. The Parent Trap has to be it's best film ever. The entire crew for The Parent Trap sure knows how to make a film that will be an all time favourite and remembered forever. They chose the perfect actress, Lindsay Lohan, who is my idol. I hope that most people will know that Hallie Parker & Annie james is played by only one girl.
When this movie first came out into cinames, me and my old friend where going to watch this other movie, but the tickets were sold out. Then i suggested that we could watch this other movie, and then "i remembered perfectly" that she said: 'naa, let's watch The Parent Trap. I am soo glad i took her advice, otherwise I wouldn't be having a favourite celebrity as good as Lindsay Lohan. You are crazy if you don't like her.
Hallie Parker and Annie James met at camp accidnetly and they found out that they are twins. Since their parents divorced, they switch places and try and get them back together.I liked camping scene where they did all that stuff on their dad's girlfriend, Meridith. You HAVE TO SEE IT!!!

Summary: Girls, get a lawyer!
Review: The idea of separated twins might have made some sense in the 1961 Parent Trap because I think there may have been more "family secret." type arrangements overall in the time those twins would have been born, but when it is updated to the idea of the same thing happening in the mid 1980's, (at the time of Annie and Hallie's fictional infancy) I just don't buy it! By then people acknowleged how much siblings, particularly twins, needed each other, not to mention parents and children needing each other. When I first saw this remake of Parent Trap, all I could think about was, Girls, get a lawyer!!!!

Summary: Weird, but good enough...
Review: This is a good movie, except in a boring way but the cast sounds good: Dennis Quaid, Natasha Richardson, Lindsay Lohan. I give it a ***** (5 out of 5), and you should rate it PG for Crude Humor, and Brief Nudity.
