Summary: The Vacation Saga.....
Review: Christmas Vacation is by far in my opinion the best of the Vacation movies.... But I will never buy any of the Dvd's that are out right now because they are all old and Fullscreen, And by the way, In case you didn't know Fullscreen Is Horrible unless the film is filmed that way.. They should make a Vacation Box Set with Widescreen versions of all the movies, so i can own these!!!! Thats All

Summary: A Christmas classic comedy
Review: For those around the holidays that need just a little sarcasm to deal with the season, this movie is a must-see. Any Chevy Chase fan will enjoy this movie.

Summary: A Documentary of My Christmas
Review: During the holiday season, one of my favorite Christmas movies to watch has always been "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." The comic adventures of the Griswold family during the holidays always remind me of my family Christmases. Usually, mine don't turn out quite as bad as the one in this movie, but the similarities are always evident. In this third "National Lampoon" installment, Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) is responsible for hosting a Christmas escapade for his extended family, replete with problems at work, Christmas lights that don't turn on, and a few uninvited guests! Although the viewer soon figures out that this is one of those movies where "nothing goes right," the twists and turns of the plot are often unexpected and are always hilarious. This movie loses a star, though, because the plot lacks sustenance in places; it is evident that some lackluster scenes were added as "filler" to transition between the main points in the storyline. Otherwise, though, this movie is an exceptional comedy and I definitely recommend it to families like mine that are merely trying to "survive" the holidays. It certainly provides a temporary relief from all of the stress and the hectic nature of the season. Sometimes it feels good to just take some time out to sit down, watch a good movie, and laugh to your heart's content. In my opinion, "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" is the perfect movie for such an activity and is certain to brighten the spirits of all who watch it.

Summary: (Not A) Family Film
Review: Watching this film, myself, as an adult, I was just hysterical with laughter; I loved it!!
But, watching it, as a father, well, I'll just say...it's not a family film. I felt on a whole, it's no worse than the "Home Alone" films, with the laugh-out-loud physical humor; on the other hand, there was brief nudity, and strong language (they say the 'F' word once, but still...), I can't comfortably allow my children to enjoy this film, and share the humorous moments (and there were many) with me.
In short, I loved it. I appreciate good comedy. But, if you are searching for a wholesome, family Holiday film the whole entire family can enjoy together...well, um keep searching. As an adult, I enjoyed it; as a dad, I have to say it's not entirely approriate for younger viewers.

Summary: Good but not that good
Review: I do like this film but it is in no way in the same field as the first movie and european vacation. If you liked the first two movies I would suggest renting this first before buying a copy.

Summary: Christmas Vacation--You'll laugh outloud
Review: In my opinion, this is the very best of the "Vacation" movies from National Lampoon. Of course, Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo return as the Griswolds and Randy Quaid is the incorrigible and disgusting Eddie. This film is a must have in any collection. You don't see movies where you can laugh out loud throughout the entire thing. This one is like that. The Griswolds play host to both sets of inlaws and various other relatives, including a surprise appearance by white-trash paragons Eddie, Katherine, their kids (who are also different in every movie) and their lovely dog, Snots. Who wouldn't expect everything to go wrong at the Griswold family Christmas? The only things you don't expect in this mock-up of holiday cheer are the things that happen. My family watches this movie every Christmas. If you haven't seen it, you are really missing out.
