Summary: I hate DVD's
Review: I'm giving a low score in protest to the all the DVD features that aren't included in the VHS format, not the movie itself. (I love the movie.)

I know everything couldn't have been included but they could have put the deleted scenes in the VHS. That's what the did with the latter editons of the first Austin Powers movie. They could have included the Myers interview or a music video too.

This is just the powers that be finding a way to force us to by DVDs. They don't want to go bust like they did with lazerdiscs.

Summary: Mike Myers:Crazy baby, yeah!
Review: I knew after the enormously popular original, Mike would have to create a sequel, and this is just one more movie that demonstrates his comical genius. The flick was great, and his "Dr. Evil" is the funniest villian ever. I realy hopes he continues this hilarious saga.

Summary: Sophomoric but still amusing
Review: This sequel to Mike Meyer's 1997 hit is a highly amusing journey into the strange. The constant mocking of 90's pop-culture is cleverly done, and much appreciated (who isn't sick of "Talk to the hand!") The Springer scene was hilarious. The supporting characters were well-cast, and, as before, Dr. Evil outshines Austin Powers as the most amusing and interesting person in the movie. I agree with other comments made here that if you are a person who only wants to overanalyze everything that you see in a movie, for God's sake, watch something else. Movies like this aren't meant to challenge your intellect. They are here to make you laugh, and there is nothing wrong with enjoying something totally sophomoric on occassion. The major problem with this movie is that Meyer's always seems to drag jokes out for too long, not knowing when to let a scene die. He squeezes every last drop of life from a joke before he lets it go. But overall, this is simply a simple, foolish movie that was meant to be laughed at. People seem to forget that it isn't supposed to be Citizen Kane. Stop overanalyzing!

Summary: Excellent DVD
Review: Tons of extras...deleted scenes, a feature length commentary, interviews, music videos, lots of entertaining stuff. I was surprised they were able to put the whole thing on one side of a DVD.

As for the movie itself, Dr. Evil's disfunctional relationship with his son Scott is hilarious. Mini Me...Rob Lowe as a young Number 2... Frau...the whole Jerry Springer scene was great. As for the time travel inaccuracies, well...duh. I mean, we're not talking 2001:A Space Odyssey here. It's a frickin' comedy. It's about having FUN, being SILLY.

My advice: If you're too uptight to just enjoy this movie, if you absolutely MUST analyze every scene, then go rent "Contact" and leave the rest of us alone.

Summary: Basically the same movie as the first, but recycled material!
Review: This sequel is basically the same Austin Powers with some new material thrown in for good measure! The plot has Austin going back in time to the 1960's (anybody seen any good sci-fi with time lately ? and breaks every rules in the book with time travel! There is lots of sex jokes and a few one liners! The only reason I got the dvd was for the trailers(they spoof Star Wars! ) and for the commentary, delated scenes, and the music videos! If you to buy this movie,I'd reccomend you read up the reviews online and rent it first! Save your money for good movie(of any genre! )

Summary: What were you people thinking!
Review: First of all we are speaking out against every person who wrote a bad review of this movie! Did you all watch it blindfolded and with ear plugs? YOu must have if you didn't find this movie extreamly funny, and think that Mike Myers is a comedic genius. And by the way... Movie is spelled with an 'ie' at the end. That would be what dictionaries are for! So... "just sit back and enjoy the ride".

Summary: Good movie
Review: I though that the 1st auston powers was great, and the 2nd one was good too. It was immensley funny and mini me was a little scarry at times, but it was cool. I am a big seth fan, so I thought that his part was great, I love Scott Evil and the little "fights" he gets into with Dr.Evil.

Summary: Uh, how about...YUK!
Review: This movie was one of the biggest wastes of time. I rented this movie thinking there would be enough of a balance between stupid and funny to keep me entertained. Was I wrong! This movie wasn't good enough to be entertaining nor sensible enough to be funny. The stupidity totally outweighed the funny. There were some good 1-liners in it but other than that, I was bored to tears. I get more entertainment walking around the city and I get that for free. This was the first and will definitely be the last Austin Powers movie I ever waste time on.

Summary: "Get in my belly!"
Review: Alright, what's going on? First of all what's the use of the introductory scene? I have to admit the Jerry Springer touch was rather clever on the producer's part. To summarize, I think this movie appeals to everyone, the reason being that it's basically pointless, both story wise and theme wise, except for humor. And that's good because it's a funny movie that doesn't make sense logically but still needs to be reckoned with.

Summary: A recast of the first Austin Powers, less the originality
Review: Liking the first Austin Powers, I gave this a try. Unfortunately, I found little new from the first. The same basic jokes. It had a couple of good one liners, and the character of Mini-Me saved the show from bombing completely, but all in all hardly worth seeing. The only new jokes were so far "over the top" that they didn't add, just detracted because of the lengths they had to go to get there. All in all, this makes a poor followup to a great original movie.
