Summary: The Best Movie I've Ever Seen
Review: The Full Monty is perfect. It is light hearted, amazingly funny and has a great cast. The plot is really engrossing and the end will have you laughing so hard you can hardly breathe. This movie is magnificent.

Summary: Just wonderful
Review: I really love this film. It's funny and touching and it doesn't try too hard for laughs like some comedies do. Robert Carlyle is outstanding as is the rest of the cast. See this movie!

Summary: By the end of the movie you will be cheering for these guys!
Review: The flow of this movie reminded me a lot of Dead Poets Society. It seemed like not a whole lot was going on but the end of both movies had me up and cheering for the characters. I was especially touched about the true affection the "fat" guy and his wife shared. The scene where the guys are rehearsing and obviously uncomfortable about taking off their clothes in front of each other made you feel their pain. The scene with the guys standing in the unemployment line and their reaction to the Donna Summer song over the Muzak is a classic in my book. If the movie seems boring to you at first, hang in there. It all comes together and you will be glad you watched it.

Summary: An Off the Wall Comedy With Heart
Review: Despite the attention given to the stripper motif, this movie is about life, desperation, and the evolution of friendship in the most unlikely ways. The cast are average joes in every way, yet as the viewer comes to know them, each shines. It also paints a bull's eye on our obsession with body image and strikes home with every line.

The Yorkshire slang and dialect are hard to grasp at first, but you'll want to see this one again and again.

Summary: Hey, it may sound dumb, but it's great!
Review: So my sister came home and showed me the movie she rented, I read that back and thought to my self "This sounds stupid enough" So I'm on the computer while my sister and her friend is watching it, and every five minutes I hear this laughing and laughing, so the next day, I ask her about the movie, she said it was good and I would like it. I went to see it with an open mind. AFter is was finished, I went straight to the video store and bought it. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! It is hilarious and you have to give it a try. TRUST ME, It's garenteed a million laughs!!

Summary: A Perfect Movie! Couldn't have been better!
Review: Although not my favorite (you have to go see There's Something About Mary), this is one of my Top 5 for sure. It's about out-of-job and out-of-luck ex-steelworkers who decide to strip in order to make some money. Yeah, that doesn't sound very attractive, but the comedy will attract you. Go see it, dammit!

Summary: Absolutely splendid movie
Review: The Full Monty jumped to my top 5 list the first time I saw it. The movie is so well-made it never puts a foot wrong. The characters are so sympathetic and believable you can't wait to see things work out for them. I honestly have to ration myself to once a week viewings. I'm sure I've seen it 15 times already and laugh just as hard every time. What a winner!

Summary: Cute
Review: In an English town whose steel mills have closed, a group of unemployed men become increasingly desperate. When the Chippendale's dancers visit town, it occurs to the men that they can make a lot of money by providing the ladies' night entertainment at a local night club. Although they are untrained, untalented, and unattractive, they spark interest in their act by promising something extra -- "the full Monty". Not quite fully committed to the project, they rehearse in secret. As their financial and personal circumstances worsen, each has second thoughts and they come close to cancelling the gig. But word has leaked out, and the advance ticket sales convince them to follow through.

Summary: This movie is classic British comedy
Review: This is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. I know many guys who don't want to see this movie because they are strippers but it is just so funny that I didn't care. If you haven't seen this movie before you have to! The plot is interesting and its just hilarious.

Summary: Lookin' For Some Hot Stuff
Review: The Full Monty is hard to categorize. It is very funny, yet it is heart-wrenching in places, with great performances by all the actors. So let's not worry about what it is, because it will leave you laughing and smiling for days. Seeing this movie will also boost your optimism and make you charge ahead on those dreams you have had on the back burner. The funny scenes are absolutely hilarious. You will want to watch them over and over.

A motley group of unemployed British steel workers hatches a plan to be male strippers. Gaz, the main character, saw a group of Chippendales dancers pass through town on a one-time show with great success. Although his group lacks the looks and the moves, Gaz is not deterred. His primary motivation for this enterprise is to come up with child support money so he can spend time with his son.

The human interest story is what makes you root for these characters. There is strong language, a scene of attempted suicide, impotence, strong male sexuality, and a homosexual scene. The working-class accents are unbearably hard to decipher for the first fifteen minutes, but you get used to it.

The music is fantastic. This movie is so unique that I wish everyone would see it.
