Rating: Summary: Great set to have! Review: I just wanted to explain that the reason it is Breakfast Club, Wierd Science, and 16 candles - is because they are all UNIVERSAL films. The one question I have though is... Why isn't the new H.S. Reunion edition of "Three O'clock High" included? I just find that strange.

Rating: Summary: Lacking extras Review: It's wonderful having these classics on DVD, but couldn't they have given a little more? I for one would have LOVED to see deleted scenes. When ever the movies play on TV, you nearly always see scenes that weren't included in the original movie. And I'd like to see them more than just the once in a blue moon on TV (plus all the editing detracts horribly.)

Rating: Summary: Would Of Paid More For More... Review: No doubt getting these three movies in remastered DVD quaility for roughly 10 bucks each is a great deal. But I would of paid more if they would of added commentary, making of... and other extras to this set. I mean isn't that what "collectors sets" are all about. And what's with the trailers for the set I bought. Someone wasn't paying attention or maybe they're just afraid someone will sell these individually.
Rating: Summary: Cool Set! Review: Pretty in Pink should have been bundled with this set, NOT Weird Science! Stick to the theme, people! Weird Science would have been more appropriately-bundled with a film such as, Zapped! Also, where are all the special features?

Rating: Summary: Not Much Different Than Buying Films Seperate Review: The High School Reunion Collection is a box set which includes three teen favorite films by director John Hughes. Here is the catch though-while it would seem logical to include Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink in a set together, this set includes Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Weird Science. The set doesn't have any cool extras, and but I really don't like how you have to watch commercials and a long montage before I can get to the start of a movie. There is no way to skip the ads for Animal House, Monty Python and the montage includes clips from the High School Reunion Collection. The film quality is average, but quite honestly this set is really no different than purchasing each movie individually. Each film is in it's own box. These are classic films and if you can catch this set on sale it will be a good bargain. Overall though, there really is no incentive to buy the films as a set, their is nothing "special" like deleted scenes, extras, new interviews, nothing.
Rating: Summary: upgrade over previous releases Review: These remastered versions are a very large improvement over the original ones put out years ago. And to think I got all three movies for less than the cost of what Sixteen Candles or Weird Science were going for on ebay just a few months ago. These are really great versions of the movies. Yes, they are short on extras so maybe Universal should have called them a 'Superbit' clone. The previous releases were mono (Sixteen Candles) or stereo 2 channel. I was watching Weird Science and the DTS track simply blows away the orignal version. And the bitrate was around 8 Mbps for the movie. The only major drawback (and I almost took away a star) was the trailers at the start of the disk that you can't bypass. I don't want to buy a disk to watch commercials.
Rating: Summary: What a deal!!! Review: They just don't make them like this anymore! Long live the 80's!!!!
