Summary: If you've ever loved a cranky old man...
Review: I love this movie.

Matthau plays a fellow who is having trouble accepting change. He's cranky, rude, frugal, and stubborn. Very, very funny. And entirely loveable despite it all. He meets Sophia Loren, and even she falls in love with him!

Lemmon plays his neighbor and friend. He's also a very funny guy - they get into a little war, and it's quite fun to see the two of them playing tricks on one another.

I think this movie is a good family movie. My kids haven't seen it yet, but I'm looking forward to watching it with them. Matthau's character is a good bit like their beloved Grandfather, so I'm sure the kids will enjoy this movie as much as I did.

Summary: The grumpy odd couple characters are back!
Review: Jack Lemmon & Walter Matthau return in thissequel from where the 1993 "Grumpy Old Men" original comedy hit film left off. This time a new italian widow moves to Minnesota and tries turning the fish bait shop into a new restaurant. Matthau & Lemmon still got chemstry and their dialouge is still hilarious!

Summary: Get Grumpy & Grumpier!
Review: Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau are the best comedy team ever--in my opinion. They are absolutely hilarious as Max and John, two fishing pals in Minnesota. I was so saddened to hear about Mr. Matthau's death. "The Odd Couple" and it's sequel, as well as "Out To Sea" and the original "Grumpy" are must-sees! In "Grumpy," the two old love-hate fishermen fished in the winter in Minnesota and in part 2, they are on motorboats looking for the big one in the summer heat. Sophia Loren steams it up as a beautiful Italian import to compliment Ann Margret. Burgess Meridith ("Mickey" from the Rocky flicks) is hilarious as Lemmon's pop. Light-hearted and funny, a can't-miss flick, watch it anytime for some laughs and smiles. You'll crave some vino after this flick from Loren's restaurant in the movie.

Summary: Another funny movie
Review: Just has funny has the first one. The cast of characters are just great. Burgess Meredith had me in tears I was laughing so hard. Like the first one, watch the out takes during the credits, they are hillarious.

Summary: You Can Wish In One Hand
Review: Let's be frank here. I watched this video because Sophia Loren was in it. And it was well worth the time. Not only is Sopia lovely, but she performs well in this light comedy.

But what really made the film for me was the outstanding performance of Burgess Meridith. I bought the DVD just so I can go to all the places where he does his stuff. In his role as "Pop" he was absolutely perfect. His little one-liners, his discourse on bacon, his outrageous flirting with the Moma, his singing to the grand daugther.... well, suffice it to say that he steals every scene he is in. He alone would be worth the price of the movie.

If you are looking for a relaxing and mildly amusing film, this one will do the trick. If you are looking for profound meaning and excitement, forget about this one.

Summary: as good as the first!!!!!!!!
Review: One of my favorite movies EVER!! It's just a good movie with great actors. If you have seen the first movie you can guess that the second installment will have much the same humor and fights between the grumps. It involves a women taking over an old bait shop and trying to turn it into a Italian resturant. The grumps are not having that at all, which leads to a plan to
stop Maria Ragetti (Sophia Loren) from opening the new resturant. But Max (Walter Matthua) soon finds himself falling for Maria. Little does Max know but Maria begins to fall for him as well.

But what would grumpy old man be without fights between each other. Well the fights soon begin. When Maxs son and Johns (Jack Lemmon) daughter call their wedding off, the fights begin!!! John and Max just can't talk it out, so the pranks begin.

It's a perfect movie for family enjoyment and a movie you can watch over and over. What more can you ask for great actors, great humor, and a well made movie!! Buy the 2 dvd set it's a great buy!!!

Summary: Grumpier - and just as funny as part one!
Review: Since I loved Grumpy Old Men so much, I was prepared to be a bit disappointed by it's sequel; namely, because, I never assumed anything could come close to the comedic genious of the first Grumpy movie! Well, I was wrong. Grumpier Old Men is one of those rare sensational sequels; equally funny, (yet touching,in it's own way), as part one! Old time rivals Walter Mathau and Jack Lemmon are still at it; still putting each other down, still trying to top each other's hijinks, and STILL trying to catch that elusive Catfish Hunter! This time, a sexy newcomer, (played by Sophia Loren), sashays into Wabasha, planning to turn the cherished Bait shop into a "ristorante!" A captivating movie - from beginning to end; a "must-have" for anyone who owns part one, to complete the collection. (Even the way these guys open their TV dinners is a riot)!

Summary: Grumpier Young Reviewer!
Review: Since this is messed up just like Grumpy Old Men I'll repeat what I said about that DVD. The film= two classic funny guys doing what they do best. Making us laugh. Great film. The DVD= it's a barebones edition with a horrible full-framing problem. They've cut off so much of the film that I felt like I was listening more than watching. It's HORRIBLE. I'd skip this DVD and get something else. Wait til a decent DVD comes out.
