Rating: Summary: A Congeniality Reality Review: I loved this movie...although it probablly would not be that entertaining if you could not relate. I would love to have a job like Sandra Bullock's character does in "Miss Congeniality", an exciting, and uncommon one. I am very clumsy though, quite like Gracie, and I would probablly ending up having an adventure quite like hers. I think it is very cool that she saves the pageant and gets a real life. I would recommend this to anyone who would be able to relate, or enjoys Sandra Bullock movies.
Rating: Summary: Hilarious, the funniest of 2000! Review: Miss Congeniality stars Sandra Bullock as an FBI agent gone undercover as Gracie Lou Freebush to make sure the Miss America Pageant is safe from a terrorist threat. Bullock's character has an extreme tomboyish personality, and "dosen't even own a hairbrush". This leads to some incredibly hilarious and original scenes that showcase her awkwardness. This is a movie you can watch over and over again, all the while still laughing at the brilliant jokes and plot. All the supporting acting is great, especially several Miss America women with varying personalities. This movie is an opportunity not to be missed- it's very rare that a perfect comedy comes along!
Rating: Summary: Another Sandra movie Review: This(In my opinion) it's the worst film that Snadra ever acted in.It's stupid, boring, and nothing original. In the same categorie than Drop dead gorgeous, this film tells the story about the looking like a lesbian cop, Gracie Heart. A mad man is going to attack in the Miss Unite States contest, so Gracie it's the only one than can help, by entering at the contest. She's very ugly, so they re-make her like Pretty woman o Princess diaries style. And now Sandra loosk like...WOW! But that, i'm afraid to say it's what the director calls PLOT. Better luck next time for him! But i didn't enjoy this film at all. I know a lot of you film lovers liked this one, but ther was something mising here for me, may be creativity. Just wanting for Sandra's next fil a little upset.
Rating: Summary: William Shatner steals the show Review: This movie is light-hearted and cute and Sandra Bullock is good in it.William Shatner is the star of this one. He delivers his dumb lines in such a way that all you can do is laugh and laugh. We have seen this movie on cable several times and anytime William Shatner is in a scene we cannot stop laughing! He acts like a total goof-ball which makes it a great choice.
Rating: Summary: Of stereotypes and more... Review: Its a neat and fun movie, one of those which you can see with your eyes and mind closed, step out for a smoke, ...get on the phone etc. and not miss much. Its a neat little plot which almost manages to get lost in the mayhem of character building through stereotypes. Having said that, the actual acting is pretty neat. In terms of the story, if you haven't seen this movie yet, its about a 'masculinish' FBI agent who needs to get into a Beauty contest as a contestant in order to solve some crime. So we have the inimitable propah British trainer (borrowing from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) Michael Caine, who converts the Testosterone into Estrogen! Voila ! Bullock has been given a male colleague... an Alpha male rather, who's only role is to portray the effect she has on men. Little is done with their relationship (or with Caine and Bullock either- most of the interactions are lost in the comic nature of the scene); which could have been a powerful counterpoint to this otherwise nicely funny and ordinary film. Have it running in the background while doing the dishes/clothes/whatever. Nice flick, not worth too much attention span though!
Rating: Summary: Eh. Review: A few cute moments, but nothing stand-alone in the movie. Basic plot, no surprises. Not bad for a chick flick--but it _is_ a chick flick. Worth a rental, not a purchase.
Rating: Summary: it's okay Review: i watched this film this one time and didnt think it was anything to really root for. it seemed to follow a basic pattern in cop films.
Rating: Summary: Way to go Sandra! Review: Sandra Brings a pack house performace in this movie. This is by far one of my favorist movies that she did. My favorite part in the movie is when she is in the blue dress and they are presening her and she falls. She said,"I'm okay I'm in a dress and armed don't mess with me or something like that. But the best part of the movie was at the end when the girls give her an award and she said," I really want world peace." This movie is for fans of Sandra or not but it's a good movie. How I know it's because I watch lots of movie that are on the max or hbo. So I love this movie and I think everyone needs to watch it once you just might fall in love with this movie. If not that's okay but it's just the best of movie that I think the women did for her caree. Thanks Roz
Rating: Summary: weird Review: If MST3K were still on I'd mail the people and saw do this one. Not that great. Ughh.
Rating: Summary: Congenial. Review: The title to this film fits Sandra Bullock perfectly in more ways than one. Not only does it refer to the character she plays in the movie, but it fits Bullock in real life, too, because she's one of the few down to Earth celebrity women in the business. Anyway, the movie is a great showcase for Bullock's comedic talents. However, it suffers from a loose and somewhat poorly written script. The film is supposed to be a comic action/suspense film, but severely lacks the action/suspense (think SPEED, but without the speed). However, it is a bit more enjoyable to watch because of two great supporting performances in the movie: Michael Caine and William Shatner. Caine steals every scene he is in and Shatner should have done more comedy in his career because he's so funny.Overall, not too bad of a movie that is enjoyable to watch because of Bullock, Caine, and Shatner.
