Rating: Summary: nice try, but just doesn't get it Review: Slapstick humor, an unconvincing premise, and a shallow script combine to make this a disappointment, despite a few funny scenes. Bullock (Gracie) has no on-screen chemistry with her leading man, and in fact, all the males in this superficial romp come across as mindless dupes, including (surprisingly) William Shatner, who did himself a disservice appearing in this flop. Michael Caine ditto, who appears as the stereotype gay beauty-consultant who works miracles with the incorrigible "Gracie". 3-stars may be high, but it did have a few chuckles, and it tried hard.
Rating: Summary: Hilarious!!!! Review: I laughed all the way through this movie. This is one of Sandra Bullocks best in my opinion because I haven't saw her in anything good since "Speed". Grace Hart is really a funny charcter but, Gracie Lou Freebush is just hilarious.
Rating: Summary: The funniest movie ever Review: I love this movie so much, after i bought it i watched it over and over!.At first i didnt think i would like it but after i rented it i knew i had to buy it.Its basically about a tough fbi agent that has to go into the miss united states pagent undercover, and how she deals with acting very polite and ladylike compared to how she usually acts. How they transform her from a clumsy sarcastic fbi agent to a perky contestent in the pagent is very funny!
Rating: Summary: Makes you S.I.N.G.! Review: This film is a must, go out and buy it now. A little of your typical chick flick and a litl bit of 'tude. Gracie Hart aka Gracie Lou Freebush is a tomboy FBI agent who has to go undercover to see who is sabotaging the fashion pagent. CLASSIC moments of comedy that made the whole cinema scream with laughter and pain e.g. the bikini wax Scene OOOOOUUUCCCCHHH. And her talents? the bottles and s.i.n.g.ing? fantastic. Sandra Bullock plays to her strengths and makes this an enjoyable girls night movie.
Rating: Summary: It's a cute movie Review: It's funny and charming...even though you kinda know what gonna happen it's still enjoyable.
Rating: Summary: Becca's Favorites Review: When I first saw this in the theater I was astounded. This is the best role I've seen Sandra Bullock do since Practical Magic. This movie is not only comedic but it proves a message, that sterotypes aren't always right and that beauty queens aren't always superficial. It also proves that you never judge a book by its cover. The ugliest can sometimes prove to be the beautiful roses.
Rating: Summary: Pure fun! Review: If you need a good laugh or just want to have fun, buy this DVD. Sandra Bullock plays a FBI agent in need of a makeover. Forced to enter a "beauty pagent." She is looks like a fashion victim. Micheal Caine turns her into a woman worth winning the crown. I really like Sandra Bullock. She is a natural comedienne. She is my favorite actress any way. It's ok to watch a fun movie.
Rating: Summary: Loved Sandra Bullock, Hated Benjamin Bratt Review: Sandra was hysterical, even with a weak script. Benjamin Bratt, on the other hand, had no star power. I like him on Law & Order; he just doesn't have enough talent for the big screen (and I was watching a DVD!).
Rating: Summary: Most hilarious and glamorous Sandra Bullock movie I've seen Review: Wow! MISS CONGENIALITY, in my opinion, is the most hilarious and glamorous Sandra Bullock movie I've seen. I saw it with my ex-boyfriend, and he laughed at it A LOT. Even though I didn't laugh that much, I still enjoyed it as much as he did. I thought Gracie (Sandra Bullock) looked VERY pretty in the dressy clothing she wore. Also, I was surprised to see that Ernie Hudson from THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE was in this. One of my most favorite quotes of MISS CONGENIALITY is, "F.B.I. You might wanna stay out of this." That was SO HILARIOUS! To all you Sandra Bullock fans who have not seen MISS CONGENIALITY, I HIGHLY recommend it! You're in for a good time and a LOT of laughs, so, go out to the theater and see it today. You'll be glad you did.
Rating: Summary: Miss Congeniality Review: Again, another one of Sandra's most excellent works ever. Really connects with the audience. A definite force just by herself, really puts herself into the part she's playing. To borrow the phrase "To thumbs all the way UP". Always can count on Sandy for a performance to remember. A must see for all.
