Summary: Divine Comedy
Review: Whoopi Goldberg stars in this wonderful comedy that everyone must see. She plays Delores, a struggling lounge singer in Reno. Her boyfriend Vince gives her his wife's fur coat, and she heads off to confront him. In the process she witnesses a murder, and must run for her protection. She goes to the police who put her in a place that Vince would never suspect, a convent. At first resisting and being difficult, she becomes a nun and must partake in their activities and lifestyle. She is eventually asked to help the choir, which was in poor shape, and she turns it into a celebration and gets people to visit the church again. The nuns even help the community and turn it around. Eventually Vince finds her in which a hilarious pursuit of the nuns in Reno persists. Overall this is a really good comedy from the early 90s, really worth seeing if you haven't yet. One of my favorites.
