Summary: Wonderfully Vulgar
Review: If you are a prude, STAY AWAY from this one. J&SB is a funny, funny movie if you enjoy juvenile humour. The most important thing about viewing this movie is that you really should see the first four or you will not understand what is going on.

The movie does seem to be one long gay joke, which does grow old, but other than that I found it to be quite funny.

If your thinking of taking young children or bald-headed grannies, you should really double think about this one, otherwise Go for it!

Summary: A bit disappointing
Review: Being a huge fan of the four preceding Kevin Smith's movies I was disappointed by Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. But then again the expectations of this movie were so great, that even Kevin Smith himself incorporated a one-liner into the JaSBSB's script that pretty much says: "yo guys, back off - nobody can live up to these expectations."

The plot is really simple - Jay and Silent Bob travel to Hollywood to prevent the making of a movie that will use them as the main two characters, and consequently will ruin their rep. Not too great... But since when is the plot the most important feature of Smith's movies?? The brilliant, flowing, relentless, fast-paced, sharp dialogue - that's what we are looking for!! Well... look somewhere else, cause it' just not there. That trademark crispness and intensity of the dialogue was conspicuously missing in JaSBSB. Jay does an enormous amount of swearing, and some characters deliver several outstanding lines from a time-to-time, but as a whole - the genius is just not there. Too bad...

JaSBSB is not going to become a cult movie, but it is still entertaining and funny, so it is definitely worth watching, only if as a tribute to Smith's curtain call in this series of films.

Summary: Kevin Smith rules!
Review: "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" is every bit as good, if not better than, Smith's prior films. It features the titular duo embarking on a road trip to Hollywood to cease production of the Bluntman and Chronic movie (Chasing Amy fans remember that Bluntman and Chronic was a comic book which had characters based on them). Their misadventures are nonstop hilarity - I honestly can't think of one moment I didn't enjoy. The people they encounter along the way are equally enjoyable characters, no matter how small the part - and it was nice to see the other actors from Smith's previous movies return in cameos. I could really go on about what a great movie this is and how you should definitely see it, but it would just waste time - get up and see it now! You don't want to miss this!

Summary: Non-Stop Laughs and Great Storytelling (4 1/2 stars)
Review: Put this movie on your "Must See" list, because you will regret it if you don't. With some of the comedy failures this summer, you may have lost faith in comedy. Get ready to restore that faith.

I was worried at first, because some of the comedies this year have been terrible. Being a fan of all of his movies, ("Clerks", "Mallrats", "Chasing Amy", and "Dogma"), I had to see this movie as soon as I could. This has to be one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time. Kevin Smith cannot fail when it comes to comedy.

The story is this: Jay and Silent Bob need to get to Hollywood to stop the movie, "Bluntman and Chronic", from being made. The main reason for this is because they cruise around the Internet and find out that a lot of people are talking trash about them due to the movie being made. During their quest to reek havoc in Hollywood, the run into some interesting characters and unpredictable situations which later on leads to them being the most wanted men in America by the law.

This is a hilarious movie from start to finish. Filled with great actors and comic twists, "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" is a must-see for anyone who loves to laugh. I do recommend that you see the movies listed above before you see this one since the movie makes numerous references to them, and plus some of the characters from the other movies are in it as well. I wouldn't consider this Smith's best movie, but it is a great flick. See this movie as soon as you can!

Summary: Another masterpiece by Kevin Smith!
Review: I just got to see this, and let me tell you is it funny!!!! I mean, LOL-ROFLMAO funny! There are cameos by everybody, all the old faves, even Walt Flanigan and Steve Dave are there! Dante, Randal, Snowball, Trish, Banky, Amy, Brodie, Holden, and celebs just being themselves like Affleck & Damon, Biggs & "Dawson" (damn, can't remember real name- you know, the guy with the chin who is Dawson from Dawson's Creek?). It was hilarious! Other people will tell you the entire plot, but how's this? Remember at the end of Mallrats, when the song "Susanne" by Weezer starts playing, and Jay & Silent Bob are walking down the road with an orangutan and the subtitle says "As for Jay, Silent Bob & Susanne, that's a different story altogether"? Well, Ta-Dah! Susanne returns in this movie and the end of Mallrats finally makes sense! :} I loved the cameos by Carrie Fisher (as a Nun!!) and Mark Hamill (applause, everyone!).
Rabid Kevin Smith fans like myself, GO SEE IT! RENT IT! BUY IT! etc...
Young children, sensitive adults, & generally people who can't take fart, poop and other not-so-nice jokes, RUN AWAY OR WAIT UNTIL YOU'RE OLD ENOUGH!
I know the rest of us will enjoy this movie for years to come. :}

Summary: "Jay and Silent Bob" rocks
Review: I have seen this movie twice already and I loved every minute of it. It was hysterical. Even though it did have a lot of jokes in it that are really only funny if you have seen all of Kevin Smith's films, there are still plenty of funny moments to keep a newcomer to the characters of Jay and Silent Bob laughing till it hurts.
Now, I just recently became a Kevin Smith fan over this past summer and I have seen all of his films. I am a huge fan of his work, even "Mallrats", and I think that "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" is one of his best so far. Definitely check it out.

Summary: Smith fails miserably
Review: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is one of those movies that would have been funny when I was in 5th grade. It is loaded with profanity and graphic sexual humor, but not a witty or funny line is to be heard. It's just all gay jokes that I've heard before, and mediocre potty humor that just doesn't work. The main reason this isn't as funny or fresh as Clerks is that since that movie, profanity-laden scenes have become quite normal in movies. And I can only hear the f-word so many times before I just lose interest. Lastly, Kevin Smith doesn't have a visual sense or any sort of visual style, so there isn't much to recommend if anything at all.

Summary: I LOVE KEVIN SMITH, BUT THIS IS JUST AWEFUL!
Review: Ok, ok. I know that part of the joke for this whole movie is about the mean people who go and spout horrible reviews of peoples movies all over the internet. That said, I am really going to have to here. It s one of the worst films i've ever seen. I've never written a review before. VERY DISSAPOINTING. I love kevin smith's work. Mallrats, clerks, chasing amy. Not so much "dogma", but it wasnt bad either. This, however, is NOT written in the same veign as the other movies he's made. It amazes me that kevin smith wrote it. All his other movies have some kind of moment of truth, or a slew of philosophical stuff towards the end of the movie. This is just CRAP. Not for one second does this movie shine though. Look, my point is, that if you like all of kevin smiths other movies, chances are you WON'T like this one. Silent bob and jay have always been some of my favorite characters, but an hour and a half of them just SUCKS! I mean, seriously, this is really, really bad. NOt even a matter of opinion here. Just REALLY in bad taste, stupid, (and dont get me wrong, i loved "bill and ted" and other dumb movies) and to boot....not funny! It does have a few jokes here and there, but NOT nearly enough to save this piece of junk.

*It has a plot that is, truly, not short of "V.I.P." or other failure tv shows.*

It was just one of those movies hwere you sit an eternity through it, and then say "why the hell did i spend 8 bucks on this?!! Agh!" It is probably the worst movie i've seen all year. I see about 2 a week. I just cant remember the last time I was so dissappointed by a movie. Utter garbage. Oh, and incase you plan to dispose of this interview thinking it's written by some stuck-up old man, I'm 16. What does that say?

Summary: Hilarious!!!! I AM THE C.L.I.T. MASTER!!!!
Review: Hilarious -- that about sums up this film. This movie is basically a satire on Hollywood itself with TONS of inside jokes on its current stars and the movie industry. Overall, this is just a great movie to kick back and unwind to after a loooong week or after seeing a REALLY bad movie.

The movie basically follows the adventures of two stoners as they try to make their way to Hollywood to stop the filming of a movie adaptation of a comic book which THEY inspired because people of the Internet were posting bad criticisms about them. Along the way they meet up with a nun, the Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine gang, a dopey National Wildlife Parks agent and a group of hot chicks were sinister intentions.

Overall this is a tour-de-force comedy with TONS of guest appearances (Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jason Biggs, James Van Der Beek, Wes Craven, Chris Rock, etc...). Smith and Mewes have great chemistry together.

I personally could have done with less swearing and some of the antics in the movie were a bit TOO sophomoric, but overall, it's well worth the price of admission. Clearly, this is one of the funniest movies of the year. The ending will have you rolling. You'll love this movie.

Highly Recommended

Summary: Snootchie Bootchies, Bluntman!!
Review: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is one of Kevin Smiths best movies ever. To get some of the jokes in it, i recomend seeing Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma. This Movie has everything: big name stars (Jason Biggs, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, James Van Der Beek, Mark Hamill, Scooby Doo, and Carrie Fisher, to name a few), stars from all his other movies (Dante, Randal, Brodie, Banky, Holden, Hooper X, Willam Black, and Alyssa, among others), one of the best bands of all time (Morris Day & The Time), and of course, Jay and Silent Bob.

I have already seen this movie 3 times, and i cant wait till the dvd comes out with all of the special features Smith is known for. But lets talk more about the movie.

The plot goes like this: Jay and Silent Bob go on the internet where people are badmouthing them on movie poopshoot.com. Holden tells them as long as theres a movie about bluntman and chronic, people are ggonna have something to say. Jay then decides that all they hafta do is cancel the movie in 8 days (its tuesday, production starts on Friday). Along the way, they meet new and interesting people, Jay falls in love, Silent gets a monkey, and they Kick Some [butt] along the way.

I guarntee if your a kevin smith fan...youll love this movie!!!
