Summary: Fairly funny, will appeal to sentimental types
Review: Full marks to Steve Martin for keeping a straight face in the most absurd situations. The core plot is an excellent idea, but the ending is extremely sentimental and some will find it too cloying.

Summary: Don't believe those highly paid critics on this one....
Review: I was amazed when I read the "expert" critiques on this movie. I thought it had great pacing, good humor, and unforgettable scenes. This movie is chock full of lines that are just begging to be recounted! Don't believe the critics...Judge for yourself.

Summary: How 'bout a hot dog and a beer? Some tea...?
Review: My husband and I love this movie so much that we recite parts of it to eachother out of the blue. No kidding...just to make the other one laugh. He'll start, I'll take over where he left off or vice versa. This movie does what few movies do today. It will make you laugh and cry...genuinely. We will miss John Candy, the King, the teddy bear, forever.

Summary: Wonderful Comedy
Review: This wonderful comedy incorporates what few films do--great humor with real poignancy. Steve Martin and John Candy are both superb, and together they are the perfect comedic pair. The plot is full of twists and turns, non-stop laughs, and moments of surprising tenderness. I loved this movie and would highly recommend it to anyone in the mood for an entertaining, funny, well-acted film.

Summary: Hysterical!
Review: The trials and tribulations of traveling. I found it to be very funny, and very factual. I think my favorite scene in the movies is when Steve Martin snaps at the car rental place. I definitely recommend this movie to watched by those who do travel a lot, they will appreciate the comedy. I know I did.

Summary: Heartwarming John Candy Comedy
Review: Steve Martin delivers another classic performance in this hilarious comedy, but it is John Candy who steals the show. In his first true leading role, Candy is given the opportunity to fully develop the warm and loving "nice guy" persona for which he later bacame so highly revered. Although many of his films did not receive critical or audience recognition, "Planes, Trains & Automobiles" demonstares the true genious for which he is remembered. This is one you may want to watch more than once, as it is so packed with laughs that you may not get them all the first time around.

Summary: How cold do you think it is?.... One.
Review: If you are looking for a great family comedy, this film cannot be missed. This is my favorite comedy and it makes me laugh every time I watch it. Martin and Candy are just classic. I think this is John Candy's funniest film. Damn.. I miss him. Anyway, it's non-stop fun and humor from beginning to end. It's even got Kevin Bacon in a cameo appearance. Go buy this one.
