Rating: Summary: Increadibly twisted and intriguing Review: It's a must see movie!! I was laughing throughout the entire show and it is one of the two movies that I own. Any movie that is made by the same people as "Pulp Fiction" is one that you shouldn't miss. Rent it or buy it as soon as possible!
Rating: Summary: Best Tarantino film ever seen Review: That film is one of those films, I'll never forget. It's sometimes really a bit crazy, but in general, that film is just brilliant. By now, it's one of my favourite films.
Rating: Summary: Wierd but awsome Review: This movie is very wierd but will appeal to some people. It's about a bellboy who's really goofy and gets the wierdest rooms to service. 2 out of the 4 are just awsome. If You can just sit through the 2 dumb ones. This movie is just halarious and very origional. I saw it I think 4 years ago and it is still very rememberable. I would recomend renting the VHS version to see if this movie is your allie.
Rating: Summary: FUNNY JUST FUNNY Review: YOU JUST HAVE TO WATCH THE MOVIE A FEW TIMES TO REALY APREITATE IT. I OWN IT AND ITS MY FAVORITE. WHEN I HAVE A BAD DAY AT WORK I COME HOME POP IT IN THE VCR AND IN THE NEXT FEW MINUTES IM LAUGHING, IT NEVER FAILS. WHAT CAN I SAY BUT FUNNY. JUST WATCH IT FOR THE HUMOR DONT TRY TO ANALIZE IT JUST WATCH IT AND LAUGH.
Rating: Summary: A very entertaining and lighthearted comedy Review: Though this film at first seems like nothing more than an ego boast to many big actors (Madonna, Antonio Banderas, Bruce Willis, et. al.), further viewing shows that this film may actually contain some substance of worth. Tim Roth, whose character is nothing short of annoying, does a remarkable Jerry Lewis-like performance. The four stories in themselves are at least original (with the exception of Tarantino's piece which was too similar to the old ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS episode) and faily entertaining as twenty minutes of pure fluff. The film does showcase some very good and humorous performances by some of today's bigger stars, however one might wonder if the stars appearance was only out of obligation to the director (why else would Bruce Willis be in this film if not out of obligation to Tarantino?). Overall the film is definetely worth seeing for anyone who can enjoy and appreciate the lighthearted nature of the film and wants a break from the more serious cinematic pieces out there.
Rating: Summary: Absurb drama vs. Hollywood's sweethearts Review: You know....Absurb drama is not an easy thing. To read, to act out, or to write (one would imagine). With the exception of Tim Roth, most of the actors in this film normally make me wince. However, "Four Rooms" did something amazing--it made me think that glam actors such as Bruce Willis and Antonio Banderas could actually manage the craft that pays them so well. Swiftly and deftly told, this movie left me in stiches...and, praising those writer gods who invented absurb drama. Art imitating life and actors actually grabbing those meaty bit parts that they often have nothing to do with.
Rating: Summary: Tarantino & Champagne...who could want more? Review: First of all, I wish Quentin Tarantino was in every one of the 4 rooms. Unfortunately, I had to wait till the last room to see him. This is an oddball little compilation of 4 different stories that take place in the same hotel(thus the title, Four Rooms!) through the eyes of the bellhop. The first story, is about a coven of witches, starring Madonna. Mildly interesting. I don't recall the order of the next two. The room in which the bellhop(Oh, by the way, played nicely by Tim Roth) babysits 2 little brats was so-so. The room in which the bellhop meets up with a bizarre couple, I can barely recall. Which brings me to the last, and my favorite room. Roth enters a luxury suite where the people are involved in an unusual bet. I won't spoil it for anyone. But I liked the way it ended for Roth. My favorite part in this room was Quentin's rant regarding the name of the champagne. It was hysterical! I also got a kick out of how Tarantino's "A Band Apart" film logo was used in the begining...Tim Roth drops out of the picture from Resevoir Dogs and turns into the bellhop. Clever!
Rating: Summary: Entertaining Review: Well, the first time I saw the movie in the Theater, I didn't like it. But, after renting it on video, I would have to say that I now, like the movie alot. Recently, I have watched the movie about 5 times within a 3 day period. You just have to realize what the movie is and go with it. Tim Roth is Brilliant.
Rating: Summary: A Bell-hops first stressful night Review: Tim Roth as a Bell-hop on his first night is left alone to his own peril. He gets calls from four different films (hence the title) and each 'room' is directed by a different director. This is a very funny film with Tim Roth cast perfectly as the neurotic Ted. The Misbehavers and Strange Brew are the funnyest segments. The Wrong man is the worst. But this is a good film to enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Not bad, and stop blaming Madonna! Review: With 4 directors and a cast of over 20 actors {all talented}, this movie was bound to flop. Antonio Banderez makes a great appearance and Madonna and Quentin Terentino {and} Bruce Willis were good too. The script seems confusing, the directors all have completely different views and styles, so it's confusing. But it is still funny, the bellhopper was excellent, really funny guy. Madonna, who was only in the first fifteen minutes, was blamed for the badness of the movie, stop hating just because she's one of the only people in this movie who don't cuss up a storm and stay fresh and to the point! And as for Quentin, it was a nice cameo, but you're a lot better behind the camera...
