Summary: Saw It in Moviehouse, many enjoyed it.
Review: If I remember correctly, this movie spent two weeks at #1 at the US Box offfice, which would indicate that either the moviegoing public found it amusing and/or just plain fun. The opening sequence is colorful and attention getting, as is the ending. In between it becomes, a road trip picture, with the 3 Drag queens, getting stuck in some no-name town. Watching, macho men Swayze & Snipes, & John Lequizamo (Chi Chi Rodriguez?), as drag queens is a blast. Thank goodness for actors. They do for this movie, what most movies should do, forget real-life problems and just enjoy yourself, if only for a couple hours.

Summary: One Joke
Review: Unlike the similar but vastly superior "Priscilla, Queen of The Desert," this particular film has nothing to offer beyond amused shock at seeing Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snipes attempt full drag. All though well-meaning and certainly harmless, the film soon degenerates into a one-joke film that becomes stale long before the final credits role.

Summary: You will laugh till you pee your pants.
Review: Forget about the story line. It is the one liners of this movie that are so funny!!!!! I have seen this movie more than 10 times and I still laugh. I catch something new each time. Wesley is great. John is soooo funny, his mannerisms, everything say "Latina baby!" Patrick...well he just seems to comfortable in this role...I don't know. I hope you like it!

Summary: Who'da thunk it?
Review: Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes and John Leguizamo as drag queens!! Now that's something to ponder. This movie is hilarious!

Summary: Patrick Swazy is one hot chick
Review: Out of all the girls in theater, you know Julia Roberts, Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Britney Spears, Roseanne, whatever. Nobody comes as close as the godess of them all, Patrick Swazy! She is so hot. I swear, I just bought this movie all because of her. Who cares about those other ugly ones. Swazy is the hottest by far!

Summary: Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar
Review: Movies are meant to entertain and that is what this one does. Who cares whether the plot is smaltzy or not, this film keeps you laughing all the way through. I am not familiar with the actor who played Chi Chi, but I can't imagine anyone less macho than Wesley Snipes and he along with Patrick Swayze are absolutely hilarious as drag queens. Michael Vartan as small town thug is just an extra bonus to watching this movie. This movie is well worth watching. My only complaint is that the song "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me", which was sung during the town dance, was not included on the movie soundtrack.

Summary: Entertaining & Silly, but no "Priscilla"
Review: It's no "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert," but this movie is Entertaining and has a bigger budget. It is very, very difficult to buy-into Swayze or Snipes as Transvestites, but Leguziamo comes-across as a fiesty little woman. "To Wong Foo" would-have been more acceptable, if the characters were chosen realistically, instead-of for their Recognition factor.... If real performers in the art would-have been chosen, instead-of Stars-Names, the film would be a classic. However, it flops in comparison with "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert."

Summary: _To Wong Foo..._ vs. _Priscilla_
Review: My review is not going to settle the _To Wong Foo..._ vs. _The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert_ debate, nor do I expect it to. But as a young woman who usually avoids comedies because I do not find them funny, but who loves _To Wong Foo..._ so much it is the only movie I brought to college with me, let me just say this: _To Wong Foo..._ is most likely a tribute to (or rip-off of, if you prefer) _Priscilla, Queen of the Desert_. But it succeeded in making me laugh. It sparkles. _Priscilla_ was, literally, a dark movie. It did not sparkle; in fact, it bored me. So stop comparing the two. See them both, and decide for yourself. I prefer _To Wong Foo..._, Hollywood glitz and all.

Summary: Where have I been before I discovered this movie?
Review: I just saw this on TV yesterday and popped it smack right into my Amazon shopping cart. I want to share it with everyone! I can't wait to get my aunt and best friend over here and us chicks will watch this. I had never heard of this but it was PERFECT. The casting is extraordinary straight thru. And what a great story: 3 drag queens revitalize a dumpy little town where everyone has problems. It must be true. ;-)
