Pee-wee's Big Adventure

Review: I don't remember quite how long it's been since the last time I saw this movie first aired on the CBS network. (the same channel that also used to air the popular "Pee Wee's Playhouse" T.V. show) This movie has EVERYTHING: Action, comedy, romance, crazy chase scenes, and even a bit of horror. (e.g. The ghost of "Large Marge") I absolutely LOOOOVE this movie! Pee Wee Herman is too damn funny with that retarded laugh of his! One time when this movie aired again on television, my brother and I decided to watch it. My dad came in and said, "Why are you watching this idiot?" LOL! Well, that's what makes him funny! If there wasn't any of the idiotic and wacky humor thrown in, Pee Wee just wouldn't have been as funny.

The plot is very simple to follow: It's a nice day at Pee Wee's Playhouse (or should I say FUNHOUSE?) when Pee Wee (Paul Reubens) helps himself to some Mr. T cereal. Afterwards, he heads out into town on a normal beautiful day with his fancy bike. But Pee Wee's evil, fat rich neighbor, Francis (Mark Holten), wants the bike to himself. While in town, Pee Wee's bike is mysteriously stolen after locking it up with hundreds and hundreds of chains. Pee Wee goes crazy and decides to go on an adventure to get his bike back! From an action packed swimming pool fight scene between Pee Wee and Francis, to a scary trip into the unknown with semi truck driver Large Marge (A very creepy performance by Alice Nunn), to the final chase at HOLLYWOOD where Pee Wee's bike is being kept. Every minute of this film is damn hilarious and you should definately check it out!

BTW, do NOT even bother looking into the "Big Top Pee Wee" movie. That one sucks! There's absolutely barely any humor at all! However, I recommend this and the one I grew up with as a kid, "Pee Wee's Playhouse"! They are gr8t!
