Rating: Summary: First song in movie??? Review: The so called soundtrack for My Cousin Vinny does not include the catchy first country song from the movie. The song is played as the 2 college boys are driving to Alabama in the car. Does any one know where I can at least find the name and group/singer of the song?
Rating: Summary: Funniest movie ever! Review: I cant say enough good things about this movie... Tomei and Pesci are hillarious. Every fifth word starts with, "F" but the obscenities make the movie what it is. This will be a hit with all generations, and unlike most comedies, it gets funnier each and every time I watch it. 5 stars! No doubt! But I would reccomend buying it at best buy; its cheaper there.
Rating: Summary: 'My Cousin Vinny' gets two thumbs up! Review: Joe Pesci, is hilarious in this comedy about two boys getting accused of shooting a clerk and taking off with the money. Vinny, one of the boys cousin becomes their lawyer so that they dont get hauled in.Pesci is a New Yorker in Albama, with all the southeners about he feels a little out of place. He gets in bar fights, thrown in jail, gets stuck in the mississipi mud, shoots in random directions and saves the day. i really enjoyed this movie it made me laugh out loud. I thought that the cast was awesome. Dont waste your time renting it, but it!
Rating: Summary: "No, there's more!" Review: "My Cousin Vinny" might just be a comedy classic. There's nothing that unique about it; the (rather hokey) plot and stereotypes upon which the comedy is built are fairly standard. Yet it's performed with such heart you can't help but love it. Joe Pesci, Marisa Tomei, and Fred Gwynne carry the movie splendidly and earn every laugh they get. This is one of those movies where you don't need the DVD extras to make it special (which is good, since there are essentially ZIP). It's special all on its own. At a price this low, you should definitely add "My Cousin Vinny" to your DVD library.
Rating: Summary: Great Movie a must see Review: This is one of Joe Pesci best movie's I think he's ever done it's funny but not the stupid funny type of movie's it had a good story line too, his nephew and friend are acuse of murder and it's up to Cousin Vinny to save the day but can he do it doese he really know how to be a lawyer and prove his case I think this movie shows to never dout yourself never say you can't do something because it may surpise you in the end what you really can do
Rating: Summary: A MUST SEE! Review: I totally enjoyed this movie. It starts out with two young Italian boys on their way to college. While traveling through a small town in Alabama they are falsely accused of murder and Bill calls home asking for a lawyer to be sent to help them. The family send Bill's cousin Vinny, who has never tried his first case. Vinny is played by Joe Pesci and his girlfirend is played by Marisa Tomei. What an outstanding couple they made in this movie. I laughed myself silly and shared it with everyone I knew. Think about it! A Northern Italian Lawyer in a Southern town, you can imagine the friction, but oh the comedy that is there. If you haven't watched this movie yet, you need to run out and get it. You won't be sorry, it is great!
Rating: Summary: The best Review: I think this movie is the best movie I have ever seen, my kids love it.
Rating: Summary: Little Italy versus Big Alabama Review: A thoroughly enjoyable romp as we watch the thrust and parry of the legal system way down South. Joe Pesci turns his hand (and turns it well) to a comedic role, with just enough anger still in his little body for you to half-think he'll chop someone up and place them in the trunk of his car. Tomei's acting was solid if perhaps not Oscar quality and the supporting cast was well chosen. And so yeah ok you could pour a bucket of grits through the plot (for example, if Vinny knows Lisa can provide the correct answer vis-a-vis the car tires, Vinny must have known the answer anyway). If you are smart enough to ignore that then you'll spend an enjoyable 2 hours listening to Little Italy versus Big Alabama.
Rating: Summary: Laugh out Loud! Review: My Cousin Vinny is the most successful of Joe Pesci's meager lead roles, one that is tailored for his talents, playing his alter ego Vincent Gambini.Pesci's success comes mainly from his supporting roles, most notably in Raging Bull, Goodfellas, JFK and Lethal Weapon. In this capacity he was able to steal the show, and was vital in giving these films the classic status they enjoy to this day. But the man got too much talent, and is able to make it big on his own,and My Cousin Vinny is the obvious proof of that. A Italian American New Yorker, with his fiance,(played in an award winning performance by the delightfully cute Marisa Tomei), find themselves stuck in a typically southern town in Alabama, defending a cousin(a nice comeback by Ralph Macchio)and his friend accused of murder. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time!! Gambini has in the process to yet win his first case, pretending to be some famous East-Side lawyer, facing impossible odds, cultural and social differences,(there is the same old cliches about southeners but it is not overbearing), and a very determined, no nonsense and suspecting judge. Marisa Tomei aka Mona Lisa Vito (a very appropriate and funny name for the character she is playing!), saves the day (her knowledge of car mechanics astounds everyone in the courtroom, along with the viewers). Brit director Jonathan Lynn's CV has so far been most impressive on his BBC work as a writer for the hit series Yes Minister, and his directorial offerings have been quite modest, and certainly My Cousin Vinny is his best. The supporting cast are all great, but worthy of mention is the late Fred Gwynne (Vinny was sadly to be his last film). He steals every scene he is in!! His facial reactions to Tomei or Pesci's remarks ,cleverly edited, are very funny indeed. The comedy genre these days suffer from creative crisis, and the most we are offered are either over stretched parodies or sexual college misadventures(the age of Life of Brian and Peter Sellers is sadly over). What we need more, is clean, intelligent well written, directed and acted comedies, and My Cousin Vinny is certainly a prime example of that.
Rating: Summary: Beauty and humor Review: I just watched this for the third time, something I do very rarely. This is one of my top favorite comedies of all time. The story is good. It is very original. It is totally hilarious. The dialogue is great. And not the least, this is Marisa Tomei's greatest role. She is not only funny, she is arguably in this role the cutest thing in the universe. Irresistable.
