Summary: Excellent, interesting and entertaining movie
Review: In Catch Me if you can Leonardo DiCaprio plays the role of Frank Abagnale Jr., the most succesful con man in US history. He managed to forge perfect checks, becoming a pilot,Secret Service Agent, doctor, lawyer and having women falling in love with him, all before he was 21!
This is a movie which entertains the viewer form the beginning to the end, as it is caerefully described, carried out. It doesn't get boring as time goes by, it only keeps getting better; you can also see that both Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks had a lot of fun during the filming of the movie.
Frank Abagnale is a man who had charm, class, elegance and intelligence, that is how he managed to full everyone, at least for some time.
Steven Spileberg carried out yet another brilliant job, and it this a must see for all the people out there who want to remember their youth, or simply for those of us who enjoy seeing a glimpse of what it was like back then.
It is also a movie for those of us romantic types

Review: The movie Catch Me If You Can is very enjoyable.I was laughing from beginning to end!It's like a vacation from the serious.But it's not just plain entertainment,it is a story about a lonely boy(played by Leonardo Dicaplio)and his family.He is a fraud,but he loves his family very much.This movie is very colorful and hilarious.Take a deep breath and let it cheer you up!

Summary: Spielberg's Most Boring Effort
Review: Where has Spielberg gone with Catch Me if You Can: NOWHERE! Although entertaining with escapes, and with stunning performances from all, this movie leaves the viewer wanting more, and wishing that what went on during the film, was more extravagant, not to mention more intriguing. A rather dull film with nothing to run home about, Catch Me If You Can, however is the perfect film for when you dont have anything better to do. The only great things about this movie are Walken and Hanks. Good to see Walken back in a normal, rather happy role, eh? DiCaprio is great, however boring and stiff, and the way Spielberg works around this film is very disappointing and un-interesting at times. For true Spielberg, see Minority Report: one of his best.

Summary: Loved it.
Review: All right, I am aware of the common criticism of this movie being too superficial, not probing enough into the motives or relationships involving the main character, but the whole movie is just so entertaining that those criticisms just cease to matter. I never cared for Leo DiCaprio much before but he won me over as a major fan with this movie. It is a thoroughly enjoyable(and much less dark) version of the The Talented Mr. Ripley. In fact, I will have some of my students do a compare and contrast. Speilberg absolutely knows what entertaining cinema is about.

Summary: Truth Beats Fiction Again
Review: Ever notice that the best films are of true personal stories or real events? People can often 'coauthor' better scripts than even the best screenwriters, just by living interesting lives. Catch me if you can is a good example of this. Bear in mind that this movie is a lightweight. There are no deep messages or hidden themes here. But it is a fun lightweight. Dicaprio's performance helps. He did well enough to make me forget that had a staring role in this film. Tom Hanks is good, as usual. The sets, dialogue, and wardrobe all work to make it seem like you are back in the sixties. What really makes this film is the interplay between the two main characters. The sly thief versus the too serious lawman- this formula works to make it both amusing and intriguing. Christopher Walken deserves mention too, for a good supporting performance. The only part that seemed unreal was Decaprios final capture. How could such a master at deception and evasion make such a bad move? The latter part of the film works too, as both characters change. Each becomes more like the other. Hanks begins to lighten up a tad, and Decaprio actualy gets on the straight and narrow. This character development makes the story outlast (slightly) the chase, and brings it closure. CMIYC is no epic, but you can kick back and enjoy it anyway.

Summary: After a career full of movies, Spielberg makes a film
Review: From trucks to sharks to aliens to dinosaurs to Tom Cruise, no one has ever been better at drawing compelling drama out of nonhuman objects than Steven Spielberg. He is an absolute genius at wordlessly capturing the excitement of bodies in motion. The problem with Spielberg has always been when humans open their mouths in his movies. For someone so adept at capturing the life and nuance of motions, Spielberg mysteriously has missed almost every time when it comes to dialogue. Every movie he's made that's relied on dialogue to carry the ideas, metaphors and overarching themes has been dead on arrival--witness A.I. and Empire of the Sun. Even in Saving Private Ryan, the truly stirring moments were wordless, masking a blockheaded plot and adolescent writing. Look again at Schindler's list and the problem is there again--great wordless scenes but poor dialogue, rescued only by the undeniable weight of the subject matter and outstanding performances from Ralph Fiennes and Ben Kingsley. Sad to say, but it's no accident that the most famous line in all of Spielbergdom--"E.T phone home" -- was fewer than five words, gramatically incorrect, and uttered by a muppet. That's why Catch Me If You Can is such a surprise and a pleasure--for the first time ever, the writing holds its own in a Spielberg project. There are clever interplays between trust and deceit, pathology and innocence, morality and amorality, value and the illusion of value, sincerity and suckerdom, etc., all wrapped in a tightly conceived, well-balanced plot featuring understated, spot-on dialogue. For the first time ever, Spielberg is working with characters instead of action figures, and wow, what a difference. Even actors with small parts shine here, most notably DiCaprio's parents, Christopher Walken and Nathalie Baye. Catch Me If You Can didn't hit it big because it was mismarketed as a bouncy comedy--it is not--and I'll bet it caught thrill-seeking Spielberg fans more than a little off guard. It's a shame, because Catch Me If You Can is a gem, something you can watch more than once and see something new each time. After a lot of great, fun, stirring movies, Spielberg's made himself a pretty good film. Buy this DVD.

Review: Even with a bit of fudging on the true story (and some moral qualms about the whole thing), this is an entertaining feature that will keep you interested throughout. Great performances from Hanks and DiCaprio plus a top-notch appearance by Walken bring it all together. Spielberg is at the top of his game on this one!

Review: Catch Me If You Can is a terrific movie with a great cast. The movie is fun and light. It's nothing that should be taken too seriously. Leonardo DiCaprio is excellent as Frank, and definitely puts himself into the class of serious good actors. He hasn't been in a movie with such wide acclaim since Titanic, and this is definitely a movie that will enhance his career. Tom Hanks is entertaining as the detective, hot on Frank's tale. His accent may be extremely fake, but it makes for quite humorous exchanges. The pace of the movie is quick and non stop. The directing is smooth and done with professionalism. Some may see the movie as a disgrace to the criminal system, but I see it totally differently. It's great to see Frank put his skills to good use. I personally do not see anything wrong with that. Catch Me If You Can is a tremendous film that finally gives Steven Spielberg a chance to direct without all the focus being on him. 5 Stars

Review: I liked the movie it was interesting to see the book portrayed in film. I actually like leo in his role in this movie he may actually be taken on film roles I will like him in. If you like the movie you may want to read the book it was much better and goes into alot of detail. If you do read it you will soon see that the movie took alot of liberities.

Review: This movie is just boring. I watched it for the first time with another couple over for dinner. We were all falling asleep and just trying to make it through to the end. BORING! The script is shallow and the acting is subpar. This is a 'renter' not a 'buyer' movie.
