Review: I'm gonna make this short and sweet. The movie is better than the book! Unusal for this to be the opposite of the norm, but if you liked the book, or had negative feelings on the book, I promise you, you will LOVE the movie. Mandy Moore performance was extradonaire.

Review: This story is all about being yourself and true love. This tremendous story will test true love and the power of human emotions. Mandy Moor plays the wonderful part of Jamie Sullivan who was a misunderstood girl. She did not care what people thought of her.Her being the town ministers doughter, her faith is what mattered to her most. Shane West plays Landon Carter, a popular, charismatic boy, who hangs out with the in-crowd. When a joke lands a kid in the hospital, it lands landon with a part in the Drama Club play. Thats when Jamie and Landon's world collide. He starts falling in love with her, and she keeps pushing him away until it becomes impossible to deny.It'll make you laugh and cry alot. It'll make you want to see it over and over again. I give it two thumbs up and more. This is a family movie that everybody must see.READ THE BOOK BY NICKOLAS SPARKS. NOBODY WILL FORGET THIS MOVIE, I KNOW I WON'T!!!!!!!!!1

Summary: Beautifully Romantic Movie
Review: After reading the book and seeing the movie, A walk To Rember I have decided that it is one of my all time favorite stories. Although the book and movie are very different they are both unique and special. Without giving to much away, I'd like to say that both formats told one of the greatest love stories I've ever heard. Although it is sad, A Walk To Rember brings hope and faith to all that witness it.

Review: Mandy Moore did an ok acting but the story line was way ahead of its self. It wasnt like the book. And most of the acting wasnt really that great as some people said. It is a sad story and all that but it wasnt what I expected and it wont be yours.

Summary: Great movie (I'm NOT a teenage girl)
Review: I was pleasantly suprised. I haven't read the book, so I'm not sure how closely they stuck to the storyline. I do plan to read it now, though. It was NOT another teen movie. It took a few minutes to get used to Mandy Moore's dark locks, but her character was much more believable as a brunette. It was a very sweet story. Mandy has a better chance at having a acting career than some female singers, I've seen. Not mentioning any names, you know who they are. Shane gave a wonderful portrayal of the bad boy. His facial expressions alone made it obvious he wasn't snow white. I've never been a big fan of Daryl Hannah. She played the absent mother very well. She didn't have a clue about anything. They could've cast better here. Peter Coyote is a great actor. The overprotective father trying to hold on to his little girl. It did seem a little strange that during the majority of her time in the hospital he's outside her room. Any loving parent would be right there as much as possible, not looking through the windows. The ending was predictable, even with not having read the book. But it was still sweet. A good family movie for all ages, Don't forget those tisses!

Summary: The Best Movie I Have Seen in Years
Review: When I read the synopsis of the story - good Christian girl redeems bad guy - I knew I would like the movie. As the plot unraveled, I remember thinking: "Where does this movie come from? Are we sure this is a Hollywood movie?" In times when we have to (well, we do not have to, but you know what I mean) swallow movies like "American Pie" or "Crossroads" and be told by movie critics that they are good flicks, I was kind of shocked to see two seventeen-year-olds live their love story in such a delicate, pure, and mature way. Heck, they were more mature than I was at twenty-eight!

My jaw kept dropping scene after scene, as I saw that the girl was not morphing into a cheerleader-wannabe, but kept a thoroughly sweet, gentle, and noble attitude, without the "holier-than-thou" approach that sadly characterizes most Christians on the screen (and, even more sadly, in real life). The thing that most impressed me was that, since sex was never an issue between the two characters, all the other aspects of their love story were exalted in a very romantic way; for example, the way they said to each other, "I love you," and their respective reactions to these words, reached a depth that I cannot recall seeing in any other (modern) movie. Now, moments like this are disseminated throughout the film, and even though most people would say this is a chick-flick, the truth is that this would be a crash-course for any man who aspires to have a healthy relationship with a woman. Men should take copious notes during the second half of the movie; in fact, all the things that Landon does for Jamie after he falls for her are extremely touching and remind us that the essence of love is to give for the pure joy of blessing our partner and bringing happiness and pleasure to him or her without expecting anything back. This is what Landon does for Jamie and is also the reason my jaw, by this time, was at the floor level, while I was asking myself how this movie could grasp the beauty of this concept that is at the heart of the Christian faith. I had never seen anything like that shown on the screen before.

The acting was good, and the chemistry between the two leads was undeniable. It was not easy to nail the complexity of Jamie's character, but Mandy Moore managed to do it with such sincerity, sweetness, and purity that left thinking that Jamie Sullivan is now my favorite female character in the big screen world. Shane West was great too in portraying a guy who experiences an inspiring spiritual growth. The supporting cast did a good job also.

The message of this movie was so uplifting and inspiring, and the acting so sincere and believable, that I wish I could say that this is a masterpiece. Unfortunately, it is not. The screenplay suffers from a few glitches, such as the initial ten minutes, which are somewhat disconnected from the rest of the movie and could have been used to build more interaction between Jamie and Landon, and the final five minutes, which could have better built the climax of the movie. As for the soundtrack, I liked the way different kinds of music- heavy metal for Landon and sweet pop for Jamie - were used to highlight their different characters, especially in the beginning, but I would have enjoyed it more if the end of the movie, with its message of love, innocence, redemption, forgiveness, and spiritual growth had been accompanied by a type of music more spiritually engaging than pop, like new age for example.

Finally, the movie is very different from the book, even in the spirit. The Landon and the Jamie of the book are so totally different that I do not even think of the movie and the book as the same story. I consider the book a masterpiece, but even the movie is such a refreshing experience after all the garbage we have to put up with, that I give it 4½ stars and recommend it to everybody.
