Rating: Summary: My Favorite Movie Review: I went to go see "A Walk To Remember" with a group of my friends, and we all came out thinking it was one of the best movies we had ever seen. Going in thnking it was a classic love story, which from the trailer you could see "Girl likes boy, boy falls in love with girl, they live happily every after." The trailer does seem to give away the storyline, but there are twists on the movie which were a huge shock to everyone. It was such a cute movie, and Mandy Moore did a great job portraying a down-to-earth small town girl, Jamie Sullivan. She was the perfect example of a "good girl", while her co-star, Shane West, playing Landon Carter, was a great example of a "bad boy". These two made the most unlikely pair, but found themselves falling into an everlasting friendship. I wouldn't consider it a "chick flick" because it doesn't follow along the lines of typical chick flicks like "Legally Blonde", "Charlie's Angels" or "Clueless". It was a truly touching and emotional movie that I recommend anyone to go and see.
Rating: Summary: love it!! Review: I loved this movie because I love Mandy Moore. Shane West was great, and so cute!! But I also Loves the plot. It brought tears to my eyes.
Rating: Summary: Best love story of "our" time Review: This movie should make everyone taka a look at thier lives and teach us not ot take anything for granted. We should not take love for granted and it shows us that romance should not die out. Our generation needs some "good morale values" movie to live by. I think casting teen icons like Shane West and Mandy Moore was a great idea because they set a good example for teens out there now. This is the best love story of "our" time and it sets excellent examples. It also should teach guys to go the distance for romance and girls to hold on to that "flower" as long as you can because there are guys that will wait. I hope they continue to make movies like this one. BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Not just another chick flick. Wonderful movie all around!! Review: I went to this movie with a buddy of mine and a couple of girls and expected a lame teen chick-flick. I was so surprised to find that this movie could hold its own with the best of them. If you have any heart in you at all, this movie will touch you, will inspire you, and give you hope. I can't rave about this movie enough. All you guys who think this is just another "girl" movie you are wrong! This is absolutely one of the best movies I've ever seen.
Rating: Summary: Like real teens are actually like this Review: This is definatly one of the worst movies that I have ever seen. Overly-sappy, badly played, and mostly unrealistic, are just some of the adjectives I could use to describe this horrible peice of junk. Let's first take Mandy Moore's character, shall we? A bible nut. Theres nothing wrong with being religious, but I dare you to find me one teenage girl who acts like she did. And Shane West's character, SO unrealistic. He went from popular bad boy, to romantic mushy whipped guy in a week! From rock music to Christian pop! I'm sorry, there's just no way this could possibly be real. I don't want to spoil this for anybody, but in the middle (whoah! BIG SURPRISE THERE!) theres what you could call a 'turn-around' that drastically changes the movie. And don't even get me started on the ending. Believe me i'm sure you would give this awful movie the same review. Don't waste your money.
Rating: Summary: teen girl 15 Review: This movie is so good. Landon(west) and Jamie(moore) are so fit for the movie. the best love story of the year.
Rating: Summary: One Of the BEST Movies I Have Seen !!!!! Review: Ok, Ok...... I don't normally write reviews for movies, BUT....This one was exceptionally GREAT !!!!!!!! I took my 2 daughters to see it, and was just AMAZED at how much I got into it also !!!! Mandy Moore and Shane West did a SUPERB job in this movie, and anyone that has given this movie bad reviews has a BIG problem ! From the first scene, to the last it kept me intrigued. Wow, the girl has leukemia, and for a teenager to stay with her through everything she battles is AMAZING !!! It was such a touching movie, I can't WAIT until it comes out to watch at home....Does anyone know when that would be by any chance...???????????? :) Anyways, when this does come out to see at home, I recommend that everyone give it a chance.....it was AWESOME !!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: An Excellent Movie! Review: I went to see this movie without expecting much, but I was very impressed! The plot is well developed, the actors are convincing, and it is a beautiful, uplifting, tear-jerker, story. This is a movie that doesn't put down teenager girls as brainless, cheerleeders, and teenage boys as girl obsessed think of nothing else people. I personally, think the movie is a lot better than the book.
Rating: Summary: The Best Movie Of The Year (I'm Serious!) Review: I READ THE BOOK BY NICHOLAS SPARKS WHEN I HEARD THAT IT WAS A MOVIE, AND I LIKED, NO, I LOVED IT! THEN I WENT TO SEE THE MOVIE AND I THOUGHT IT WAS THE SADDEST MOVIE! I THEN WENT TO SEE IT AGAIN THE NEXT NIGHT! I THINK SHANE WEST AND MANDY MOORE DID A GOOD JOB ON ACTING. THEIR ABILITY TO MAKE ME CRY WAS A SHOCK! AND I AM A 15 YEAR OLD BOY!
Rating: Summary: Not as good as the book Review: I saw the trailer for the movie on Tv and was looking foward to seeing the movie. I bought and read the book before seeing the movie. The book was so good I finished in two hours. When I went to see the movie, I was a bit disapointed. Shane West is a good actor, but Mandy Moore wasn't as good. In the book she is very sick, she can barely walk at the end. I guess they left that out because Mandy probably couldn't handle such dramatic acting. I think they should have hired someone how was skilled at acting, so they movie would be as heart-renching as the book was. I did like some of the scenes they added, like when he takes her to the state line so she could be in two places at once like she told him in the begining of the movie. I thought it was pretty good though.
