Summary: The Movie That Touched My Heart
Review: A Walk to Remember was an excellent story about faith, love, and trials that break our ordinary everyday living. I love how the plain, ordinary girl is beautiful from the inside and the popular guy realizes that and falls for her. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster when she reveals her deathly illness towards the end of the movie. This film gave me hope of more Christian-based plots in the future and I have probably watched it about 12 times since I bought a few weeks ago. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for the most precious love story you will ever see.

Summary: I seen it over 30 times already.......
Review: and would watch it over & over again. This is a great movie! I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It actually pulls emotions from you no matter how much you try to put on the tough act. I think Landon Carter (Shane West) is ever girls vision of their night and shining armor! Well, I dare you to see it and TRY to say you didn't enjoy it.

Summary: A Memorable Movie!
Review: Several years ago I read the book A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks. I found the book rather reminiscent of Erich Segal's blockbuster novel Love Story. When I thought more about it, I found myself thinking that Love Story was a much better read. I never did expect to watch the movie but recently found myself borrowing it from the library this summer on a rather dreary day. It's a given that I enjoy sappy. I cry at movies, while reading books, while listening to music, even during McDonald commercials. But considering how I felt about the book, which the movie was based on, I was more than pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this film.

Mandy Moore, a well-known pop singer plays Jamie Sullivan, the only child daughter of the local widowed preacher. Jamie is smart, introspective, good-natured and an all-around misfit in her high school. Now meet Landon, almost the complete opposite. And if not for Landon's selfish act, he may never have met Jamie but meet they do. And after a brief period of antagonism, become romantically entangled. To say anything more about the plot would be giving too much away and that's now what a review should do. But rest assured, this is one memorable film and the first film directed by Sofia Coppolla whom you may remember from playing a lead role in Godfather III.

In addition to credible performances by the lead actors, which include Josh Hartnett and Peter Coyote as Jamie's father, the music chosen as a backdrop to the unfolding events provide a most sentimental mood and the songs sung by Mandy Moore are wonderful.

Yes, the movie is sappy and even predictable but don't see if you don't agree with me once you've viewed it.

Summary: Clean Love
Review: This is a movie about love in a world where love is only another name for sex. This is a refreshingly different change from the old regime, showing Jamie Sullivan(Mandy Moore)as a Christian who holds onto her morals, even when in love with Landon Carter(Shane West). But, unfortunately, they don't get the happy ending they deserve. To find out what happens, watch it! This is mainly directed towards teenage girls, but others may enjoy it.

Summary: Finally a positive representation of teenagers
Review: I am going to start off by saying that while this movie can be a bit on the corny side, underneath it all lies a true gem. Unlike many teen movies, "A Walk to Remember" projects teens as being intelligent, thoughtful, and spiritual - qualities that are rarely found in the representation of teenagers on film. It deals with issues of loss, compassion, and love in a mature way that surpasses its categorization into the teen film genre. The teenage characters in this film are more like the teenagers that I grew up with - multi-dimensional and ambitious, all while still being slightly uncertain of themselves. This is a good movie for adults and childreen alike since it shows that is it possible for a teenager to be thoughtful and articulate without necessarily being the biggest dork in school.

Summary: Beautifully Acted and Thought-Provoking
Review: Because of his involvement in a prank gone wrong, good-looking, popular but unmotivated high school senior Landon Carter (Shane West) is sentenced by the school principal to take part in community activities, such as tutoring disadvantaged students and being in the school's spring musical, both of which likable, plain outcast Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore) also happens to participate in. Here is where the stage is set for their two worlds to collide in a way that neither ever thought possible.

Shane West gives an engaging performance. In just a little over 90 minutes, his emotions run the gamut from totally disinterested to totally in love, and it's very believably well done. Mandy Moore's portrayal of Jamie's quiet but confident individuality and innocence is a refreshing, pleasant surprise. These two have excellent screen chemistry, which is so important on film. You don't have to be a fan of popstar Moore or of "Once & Again's" West to be moved by this humanistic and beautiful tale of the power of love. Highly recommended.

Summary: Miracles Do Come True
Review: Refreshing film version of popular novel by Nicholas Sparks. Portrays troubled teen who is found by wholesome, Christian girl.

Change is amazing when this boy must do punishment of being in play with the girl. Turns out, he is attracted for some reason. Maturity sets in, as the young man experiences depth of character is attractive as well as genuine beauty.

A sudden, dramatic event is disclosed which shifts the drama totally after the couple begins to date. Miracle upon miracle occurs due to all of this: friends of the boy mature, father of the boy matures as does the girl's father. Excellent acting by boy especially.

More of this will aid all our youth and adults who view such wholesome stuff. Although this kind of experience is rare in real life, it does occur.

Well worth viewing and contemplating.

Summary: SO MUCH BETTER THAN IT LOOKS!! I SWEAR!!!
Review: Okay, so I picked up this movie expecting a cheesy teen love story about love on the inside, and overcoming 'peer pressure' and all that cheesy ..., but this movie was SO MUCH BETTER and DEEPER than that. The acting was on the most part very good (esp. Shane West!), even though sometimes Mandy's lines made me almost cringe, the rest of the movie made up for it. I cried about five separate times in the movie and it has made such an impression on me its crazy. Honestly, I fully recommned this movie cause it is so heartwrenchingly good! Jamie and Landon's love haunts me -- I am such a romantic, and if you are too, you MUST SEE THIS MOVIE! by the way, the soundtrack is UNFORGETTABLE, with songs like Only Hope (which Mandy sings in the movie during the school play -- its such a beautiful ballad) and Dare You To Move by Switchfoot, which just brings tears to my eyes thinking about when it played during the movie.....sigh.

Summary: I'm so impressed
Review: I really thought this would be another teen movie so I didn't want to watch it but the reviews were overwhelmingly good, my curiosity got the better of me. I just finished it and I wish I could call Mandy Moore and Shane West and tell them how much their acting moved me.

This movie focuses on faith, love, and forgiveness. It's not just a love story but it's a story about life. I will be recommending this movie to everyone I know.

Summary: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
Review: ... The acting was bad and the characters were totally unrealistic. The story is a sad one but they kinda took it too far on that note. And I mean how many times have we seen this? Let's see bad popular boy falls in love with unpopular do gooder girl. This almost never happens in real life people! No matter how many movies you make about it it just doesn't happen! ... Oh and have you noticed that several parts of the movie are laced with this chick's singing? I mean we all know Mandy Moore is a singer, but that has nothing to do with the film! ...
