Summary: New Yorkers Really 'Get' This
Review: I found Zoolander to be a wickedly funny swipe at the fashion industry, and the social scene of NYC. Nothing was left untouched, from the myriad 'after parties' to attend (after funeral party, anyone?), the utter rediculousness of the VH1 fashion awards, the ubiquitous Paris Hilton sighting, to the Dante's Infernoesque door policies employed by many clubs (check out the Moomba scene in the Deleted Scenes of the DVD), Zoolander got it dead on. Some of the fashion industry jabs may have been a bit out of reach to those with no connection to that world, but the multitude of 'hey, models are really really dumb' gags should hold anyone's attention, at least moderately.

This movie is funny because it is well written. I take away one star because people outside of the community its based on may not get it. Watch it with a Manhattanite, or better yet-one in the fashion industry. Once you get the inside jokes, you will split your Diesels laughing.

Summary: It's Magnum!
Review: I like to think that every movie can be rated five stars as long as you're the focus group for the movie. For instance, Jackass gets five stars if a good time is hanging out with friends pulling pranks on each other, and one star if you're any of the women on "The View."
Zoolander will easily fall into the five star catagory for you as long as you're 1, a person who loves quoting movies, and 2, intellegent. Not to be rude, but let's face it. Most of the people who hate this movie don't know what a spider monkey is, and therefore don't get it.
As for the movie itself, it wasn't what I expected. It was something totally different, above, and beyond those expectations. After "There's Something About Mary," I was expecting typical gross out humor, but was surprised at how many subtle jokes emerge every time I watch it. Owen Wilson is absolutely hilarious as Hansel. Carefully listen to his lines since so many jokes are hidden in quick dialog that most people don't catch it.
In the end this movie might not ever gross as much money as "There's Something About Mary," and it shouldn't be expected to. That was a decent movie too, but Zoolander had to rely on it's jokes to pass as a good movie. Not just Cameron Diaz prancing around without a bra on the whole movie.

Summary: Laugh out Loud Funny!
Review: I caught this movie on cable after seeing all the media hype and deciding it was not something I wanted to risk paying for at the movies. What a mistake! This movie is Laugh Out Loud FUNNY! Nothing heavy or thoughtful here, just good old fashioned mindless entertainment! After trying to describe scenes to friends and family (you must see the "walk off" part to understand) I decided to buy the video and let the movie speak for itself! Ben Stiller is outrageously funny and the whole movie premise is pure entertainment! If you are looking to be intellectually lifted, this is not the movie for you to watch, if you just want to see something that is hysterically funny and utterly mindless, you've gotta see this one!

Summary: Hansel, so hot right now, Hansel.
Review: Zoolander is one of my all time favorite movies. It is absolutely hilarious, and one of those movies that just keeps getting funnier every time you watch it. Every time I see it I notice new jokes. Ben Stiller, Will Ferrel, and Owen Wilson are great in it, too. The great thing about this DVD is the outtakes, which had me and my friends rolling on the ground. I have seen this movie a million times, and it never gets old. My mom, and even my 8 year old sister love it, and you will too!!

Summary: Unbelievably funny
Review: Zoolander is one of the best movies I've seen in my whole life. Any age person will enjoy this movie. It has so many jokes crammed into it, even if you don't catch some, it's still very very very funny. Overall, this is and Rat Race are the funniest movies of the year.

Summary: A Great Movie That Makes You Think
Review: A lot of parts in this movie makes me fast forward, like the part were they get all high, but a lot of the times I have to rewind and watch it again. It's so funny when David Bowie is judging the walk- off. Zoolander is not a movie I'd suggest to younger kids (some parts are kid of weird) but is, and always will be one of my favorites.

Summary: Funny for the most parts but...
Review: Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson come up with lots of pranks and antics that keep you entertained throughout but some of the jokes were too overboard like making fun of the Malaysian Prime Minister, a Chinese fellow (for a change) that looks so moronic and irritating, which was totally unnecessary. Naturally, Malaysia banned the movie. The movie is potential 5 star material if not for this overt blunder.

Summary: Stupid but funny
Review: Thsi movie skewered the whole mystique of super models, of their self-involvement and their lives while throwing in a political assasination plot. The trailers build this as a model becoming a spy but in fact he's brainwashed so that part doesn't play well because that plotline isn't developed. Teh only redeeming thing I can say about this film is that it was really funny in it's self-mockery and Stiller got his parents jobs as well as collected 20 million for this. Anyone who can do that, has some talent.

Review: I thought Zoolander was one of the funniest movies I had ever seen. I thought every joke was funny and I laughed a lot. The walk-off scene was especially funny, and the build-up to that scene was hilarious. Other funny scenes where the model of the "Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good" and the "Earth-To" scene. I think Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller), Hansel (Owen Wilson) and Mugatu (Will Ferrell) were excellent and another funny charecter was Billy Zane (Himself) altough he had a really small part. A few people have given Zoolander bad reviews. I can't see why. I think that you have to have the right sense of humour to like this. I reccomend this to anyone who likes stupid comedy. A must buy.

Summary: Mer-MAN!
Review: This is one of those movies I always saw in the video store and never thought of renting, but a friend loaned me a copy, raving about it, and I was very pleasantly surprised. This is one FUNNY movie! With just about as much quotable dialogue and memorable scenes as a movie like "Young Frankenstein," it is absolutely hilarious -- a must see. It's one of those films you can watch again and again, either alone or while sharing some tea with friends (and a few Finnish Dwarfs and Moiri Tribesmen). Great silly fun entertainment, and an insightful look into what it must be like to be "really, really, really, ridiculously good-looking."
