Review: Zoolander is one of the funniest movies i have ever seen. when i went to see it with my freind, you could bareley hear the movie because evreyone was laughing so hard. ... What [the] reviews say is basically the people who reviewed them think the movie is stupid. Allright, i have to agree with them on that. But what i dont agree with is that they think stupid is a bad thing. This funny part about this movie is how stupid it is. Also, this movie is meant for younger people. THIS IS NOT A MOVIE THAT IS GOOD FOR OLDER PEOPLE. what i mean by that is that one of the key parts of being able to enjoy this movie is being young. Overall i would say that this movie is one of the best movies ever and it is very funny so it deserves a 5.

Summary: That Hansel's so hot right now...
Review: I've seen this movie twice, and I love it! It's pretty ridiculous, and I think that's what makes it funny. Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and especially Will Ferrel are all brilliant and hilarious in their roles. I did have one qualm though: I heard that VH-1 decided to digitally erase shots of the World Trade Center in light of September 11th, even though this movie was made long before that. I do realize that they had their hearts in the right place, but I'd rather just have the movie the way it was made, without any post-theater, pre-dvd editing done to the movie. I recognize the fact that the shots of the world trade center last just seconds, and that their removal doesn't really affect the movie...or does it? I don't know, but I think that if a movie is realeased on dvd, it should be unaltered, just for the sake of art...or whatever. Anyway, I don't know this for a fact -- I just read it somewhere. If anyone else hears or sees anything about this, let everyone else know. Other than that, it was awesome movie and dvd! Worth buying!

Review: My family and I thought it was going to be really corny and stupid but it wasn't. We were laughing from beginning to end. It's one of our favorite movies of 2001 for sure. We will be buying it when it comes out.

Review: Zoolander is a great movie.But i must say, i expected something else.
But it stills very funny and original.
You have to see this blockbuster.Ben Stiller also directed this film, he's doing great jobs, like "Meet the parents", "There's something about Mary".Listen to me, and go now to see it.
One thing I didn't like was that it's a little stupid, but it's OK.

Review: My girlfriend and I watched this movie on a whim, neither of us really expected it to be that good. We were wrong. I was laughing so hard my eyes were wattering, it was a very entertaing movie. If you are a Ben Stiller or an Owen Wilson fan don't hesitate to watch this, its one of Stiller's best movies yet.

Review: Ben Stiller not only directs but stars as the dim-witted male model Derek Zoolander. Derek has been top of the fashion world for years with his trademark 'Blue Steel' look. However, there's a new guy on the block called Hansel (Owen Wilson) who starts to steal his thunder. To add to his troubles his friends are all killed in an unfortunate playful gasoline pump incident and he returns to his coal mining family, where he receives a distinctly frosty reception. Chastened he returns to the fashion world where he becomes embroiled in a plot to assassinate the Prime Minister of Malaysia. BUT can dim-witted Derek foil the dastardly bad guys? Will he succeed in building a new school for children who have difficulty reading and writing and other stuff like that? And more importantly can he come up with a new look? Its pretty tough to satirise a business that is already so clearly loony as the fashion world but Ben Stiller's Zoolander is a pretty successful ninety minute wonderfully stupid chucklefest. Ably supported by Owen Wilson, real-life wife Christine Taylor and real-life Dad Jerry Stiller, Zoolander is implausibly good fun, which is perfectly suited to the DVD format. It's full of excellent set-pieces and comic timing, such as the Walk-Off, Listen To Billy Zane and "What is this a centre for ants?". What's more it boasts some excellent cameos from the likes of Jon Voight (as Derek's coal miner Dad), David Bowie and Billy Zane. All in all this pretty much lives up to being 'The Spinal Tap' of the fashion world. It's really good fun and you may even find yourself trying to perfect your own Blue Steel or Magnum in the mirror afterwards. If you don't like it, probably "you think you're too cool for school. Well here's a newsflash, Walter Kronkite...(extremely long pause)...you're aren't!"

I was first introduced to the antics of Zoolander during the previews before Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
Now, in case anyone noticed, I've just given you a pretty good profile of my cinematic tastes. Brought up watching Mel Brooks' Space Balls every other day or so has left me with a deep appreciation of sappy-sarcastic humor worked somewhat haphazardly into an unbelievable and often incoherent plot. But despite the debatably immature films I have described, I do pride myself as a connoisseur of fine humor. And I'll be honest with you- Zoolander is not The New Yorker; it is neither witty nor thought provoking. It's hilarious.
At one point in the movie, shortly after male-model Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) attempts to rediscover his past self by working in a coal mine and slightly before he is seen advertising a spring water beverage in the form of a mermaid (or merman, as he so insistently defends himself), it occurred to me that the movie, which had up to this point kept me in a constant state of delirious hilarity, was really nothing but a combination of pie-in-the-face slapstick with Beavis and Butthead jokes. They even had Will Farrell walking around with a stupid wig, for God's sakes. And then, when Zoolander jumped out at the screen with a coal-blackened face and screamed "BOO", I realized what separated this movie from the rest: the script. I know, I know, "BOO" isn't the greatest line ever written, but it did make me realize what was so funny about the movie- the absurdity of the language.
And as I watched further I realized it was true; twisted diction, linguistic incongruities, grammatical miscommunication, it all was a deliberate mangling of our language intended to make the average day, English-speaking moviegoer laugh- and it worked. Well.
And so the moronic Zoolander works his way from the annual Fashion Awards and into a conspiracy to kill the Malaysian Prime Minister, stopping every once in awhile to deliver some Zoolander-brand wisdom (apparently playful gasoline fights aren't the safest way to have fun). No unexpected twists, no plot development, nothing of substance is allowed to corrupt the light silliness of it all. Stinging satire, lovable characters, and above all an unforgettable dialogue ("You probably think I don't even know what a eugogoly is!") carries this film all the way through, never letting you catch your breath before slamming another joke into your ears and another laugh out of your mouth.
A well-blended mix of Austin Powers' style and the Marx Brothers' diabolically clever writing, Zoolander is, I find myself unable to deny, the funniest movie I've seen this year.
