Summary: More than a movie,it's a way of life
Review: As soon as I picked up the box and read the summary on the back,I had a feeling that this was a different kind of movie.What I didn't realize was that I was just about to watch the most influential film for the new generation of 20 somethings.The "intelligent filth"that spews forth from our two heroes,Dante and Randall,was unlike anything I had encountered outside of a night at the local pub with my friends. If you like intelligent dialogue,loads of swears,or ever worked in any aspect of the customer service industry,then this is the movie you MUST see.

Summary: Vulgar Brilliance!
Review: Have you ever thought of what would happen if someone made an art form out of vulgarity? (In a movie, no less!) Well, Kevin Smith has done it and done it well. With witty, swear-drenched dialogue, a simple plot that most of us can relate to (who hasn't been a clerk?), and slacker characters, this is one hilarious comedy. Warning this not for the uptight, conservatives or comically challenged.

Review: Gritty, hilarious and thought-provoking portrayal of central New Jersey post-adolescent bravado and angst. Director Kevin Smith connects on both an intellectual and comedic level, each vying for domination in what has to be the low-budget black-and-white sleeper of the decade. If this doesn't yet have a cult following, it should. If it shocks you, you're too sheltered, if it bores you, you're too cynical, and if it delights you, welcome to the human race. Hockey on the rooftop, a discussion of Star Wars military politics, the philosophies of VCR tape rentals, the relationship of home-cooked Italian meals to true love, an explanation of snowballing; who could ask for more? Certainly not me.

Summary: Kevin Smith delivers a very true to life script
Review: Kevin Smith (Mallrats, Chasing Amy) expresses the feelings of a generation which has, up until now, been only misrepresented by MTV. His realistic dialogue, combined with characters we can all recognize from high school, presents youth culture in a way that many can relate to. Although somewhat coarse and destitute at times, Smith's movies serve as the long awaited ambassadors of College students to the rest of the world.

Summary: kevin smith, the vulgar truth
Review: i saw clerks and thought someone ought to speak an intelligent view about the film. with a budget of only 30,000 (give or take a little) kevin smith skillfully creates a plot that happens around the motionless existence of a jersey convience store. its not gross or even vulgar, its real. people do say things about sex, and as shocking as that may sound, sometimes they even get graphic. it should also be noted that kevin smith's message in the movie, is that only acceptence of such events like people discussing their sexual past, can lead to true understanding. when you try to hide, your girlfriend winds up having sex with a dead guy in the bathroom of the local 7-11. and in a secondary note, randle is the second coolest character ever (banky edwards, of chasing amy, is the first).

Review: Kevin Smith is the funniest and most clever scripter in today's movies. His abilities to make an average day in the life of two Clerks. And know that he has wrote a Clerks: The Comic Book and Clerks: Holiday Special have drove him to the #1 writer spot in Wizard Magazine (April, 1999)

Review: Portrial of two down and out clerks in suburban New Jersey. A day in life of portrial of a convenience store and video store clerk. The lanquage is brash, but nothing I haven't heard before in an average day. It's one of the funniest movies made in the 90s. With true to life themes and conversations, while you may have never hade some of the conversations Dante and Randall have had no doubt you have thought of the same things before. Watch for "Silent Bob" in this movie.
