Summary: Um, I think they switched to a different movie in the middle
Review: When it was learned that I had never seen "Office Space" a copy was quickly produced and a couple of us watched in at work during lunch over the course of two days. We stopped the film about halfway through, just as we were pretty sure we knew how our hero, Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston), was going to bring down his boss (Gary Cole), get the girl (Jennifer Aniston), and make his office a better place for one and all. However, the next day when we finished the film we were looking at each other and wondering what had happened to the one we had been watching. Having set up a pretty good premise, that apathy can be the key to success, writer/director Mike Judge abandons his telling office satire for a lame plan that even the characters in the film know is ripped off from "Superman 3."

For those who know Mike Judge as the creator of "Beavis and Butthead" and "King of the Hill," this film pretty much falls in the middle of those two extremes. Since it seems to be impossible for anyone to like both of those animation efforts, that means that "Office Space" has all the makings of a hit/miss proposition. The movie is rated "R," but it really does not have to be, so I suspect a slight marketing ploy because the foul language and brief nudity is rather gratuitous. The reason to watch this movie is for the way it punctures the pomposity of the office place and the more it gets away from that goal the less funny it becomes. Of course, the more this film hits home regarding your own office, perhaps it is more likely it will be less funny anyhow. Fortunately, I have two staplers that I call my own.

Summary: Hilarious- even if you've never worked in a cubicle
Review: I have never had an office job in my life and I still love this movie. I've watched it over and over and it's still hilarious. The Godfather-esque printer scene is a classsic in its own right, and the witty jokes fly by at record speed. You have to see this movie a few times before you catch al of them. The characters are all cast perfectly and Judge does a great job of making the office seem like hell (Nina is especially annoying). Overall a great movie.

Summary: Looks like someone has a case of the Mondays
Review: This movie is served best at the end of a long week when you find yourself repeating, "I hate my job, I hate my job." If you've ever tried to avoid your boss to get out of an assignment or have fantisized about destroying tempermental office equipment, this is the movie for you.

Summary: You'll find yourself watching it over and over........
Review: One night I was flipping through the TV Channels when I came across the Office Space. I had never heard of it before, but I decided to check it out. It's one of the funniest movies I've seen in a very long time.

The opening seen is hilarious. Peter (played by Ron Livingston), who is stuck in a traffic jam finds himself making less forward progress than an old man with a walker. That's the kind of day Peter's day seems to begin every day with something going wrong.

From there Peter goes to his job as a computer technological company where he always has issues with the boss and the damn copying machine which never seems to work.

When Peter and his friends are frustrated and upset about work their boss says they must have "a case of the Mondays." Then they go to the shop next door and order coffee and ask the waitress (played by Diedrich Bader), what she would say if someone told you "I think I have the case of the Mondays?" The waitresses reply: HILARIOUS!!!

Michael Bolton, a friend of Peter's, comes up with a "genius" plan to make them millionaires in a matter of a few years while screwing their company.

Overall this is a great hilarious and humorous movie with great acting (especially Peter and Milton) that will make you laugh.

I have seen this movie twice and I love it! This is a great movie rent and watch with your friends or at a party. A Movie you'll want to watch again and again.

Every scene in the movie about Milton's "red stapler" is hilarious.

Summary: Perfect!
Review: If there is one movie that perfectly describes the banal, soul crushing world of corporate cubicle life, this is it. Of course it is exaggerated, but this movie still rings true to anyone who has had the misfortune of having to endure the corporate setting... This movie gets better every time. The more you hate your job, the more you will love it. Buy this video and stick it to the man! (Actually I'm pretty sure if you do buy it the profits will go to some huge corporation...) Oh well, you get the point. Great movie.
