Summary: If it isn't broke, don't fix it!
Review: Why Hollywood chose to remake this CLASSIC film with no less than Hilary Duff and Ashton Kutcher is beyond me. The beloved classic becomes a film that offers lukewarm performances. Also there is the portrayal of children who are HORRENDOUSLY ungrateful for what their parents give them, and several cheap jokes to make the laughs trickle in, snowballing to a sappy closer.

All in all: Stay home and watch the original.

Summary: Good family film, but why so many kids?
Review: "Cheaper by the Dozen" is a warm and funny comedy that combines slapstick comedy and emontional realism. I thought this film wasn't going to be dramatic. It is, and I'm surprised. I was expecting alot of stupid poop jokes and a dumb script.

Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt play parents to 12 kids. 12 kids? Is that possible for a woman to concieve that much chidren? Anyway when Martin is offered a pretigious job as football coach for a college team, he persuades the big family to move out of their small town and into the suburbs of Chicago. Things don't go according to plan. Martin is too busy at his job, and Hunt's authoring career is about to take off. When Hunt goes to New York fo a couple of weeks, Martin is left in charge of the household. Of course chaos insues.

I liked the dramatic backdrops of the characters. The kids themselves are realistic. They hate their new home and enviroment and want to go back to becoming a family. Of course, the ending ends in a happy note. I reccomend this with "Freaky Friday" as good family films to see.

Summary: Great Family Fun!
Review: Cheaper By The Dozen is a film that combines good laughs with a few scenes of genuine emotion to make it one of the betterfamily films of the year.Steve Martin is always good in the role of busy dad with big family(see Parenthood) and he doesn't dissapoint here. Bonnie Hunt does very well as the mother and all the kids do a good job of portraying the rest of the family. This film even makes Ashton Kutcher look good, as he is very funny as the self-obsessed actor boyfriend of the family's oldest sibling. A vry good and funny film for the holiday season.

Summary: a well done film
Review: when i went to go see cheaper by the dozen i was pleasently surprised in how good it was. I thought that it would just be a kid flcik with a little bit of aadult humor, but i was wrong. although the movie was made for the younger crowd i think many adults will enjoy it as much as their kids, and maybe even some teenagers will like it. the movie is mostly childish laughs like puking kids, hurt kids, escpaed frogs, but their is some humor adults will like and understand some of the comdey more than the children. most of the movie is laughs and action, but their is a heartwarming ending. The main plot is the baker family has to move, and none of the kids want to, but they move anyway. When they get to their new house, the mom has to go away for about 2 weeks, and the father(steve martin) has to watch all of the kids. from that point you know its goging to be good, steve martin with a house of wild kids, thats funny already. But the movie gets serious when the dad has no time for the kids, and doesnt mention it to the mom so she can come back, near the end everyone is mad at eachother, but mopstly at the dad. one of kids even runs away, but the dad catches him and they stay in their new house. The father quits his job, the mom's book becomes a success, and the kids are more happy than ever. Last thing i want to say is steve martin is hilarious and so is bonnie hunt, and the kids who played in this movie were wonderful, keep it up.

Summary: Awsome
Review: I think that the movie it's self is an awsome movie and it shows that if you really want something you should go out there and do what ever it is and get it over with. It is a heart warming movie and I hope that everybody will enjoy. I give it 5 stars because it made me cry, laugh, and think. Those are all of the things that you should look for in a movie or anything.

Summary: Great cast & fun movie
Review: I loved it! I think that the cast was great...all of them were easily beleivable and they portrayed each character nicely. Now I absolutely adore Tom Welling; I think he was great as the mature older brother struggling with change and Hilary Duff (which i'm sad to say) actually did GOOD as the bimboish second older sister. Not only Welling and Duff were great, but Ashton Kutcher as "Hank - the model/actor" brought a lot of comedic performance to the movie. The cast plus the movies easygoingness makes it a fun family film - I went and saw it twice! And the eye candy is a MAJOR plus : D

Summary: A great comedy with a wonderful meaning
Review: Cheaper by the Dozen is a great film I have seen it twice now and loved it both times. It is more than a comedy, it has a wonderful meaning that deals with accpetance and family relationships and that it is not always aobut work but family as well. The movie is hilarious and i am lauging just thinking about it. I almost cried in the end because i was so touched. I am a huge Hilary Duff fan so she was a nice bonus. I thought Bonnie Hnt did a wonderful job as the mother as well as the rest of the cast did. Cheaper by the Dozen is a perfect 10 in my book!!

Summary: This Remake is No Fake
Review: Despite what the critics have said. I've found myself enjoying this movie very much. Although not as good as the original. The casting of Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt was an excellent choice. The plot could be better. But this was no stinker.

Summary: fun filled family comedy
Review: Steve Martin plays a husband/football coach married to a author of the boook Cheaper By The Dozen, Bonnie Hunt, which they wo have is 12 kids to take care of...which means a lot of responsibility...Martin is overcrowded with his football team and Richard Jenkins down his neck all the time and Hunt has her book to premote. Martin signs up withJenkins football team the Stallions and the family move away from their country town to a new place. the neighbors are stuck up, their kids dont fit in at their new schools...its just a (...)to say the least. fun and funny and heartfelt. Martin is great and awesome as usual, same to Bonnie Hunt. the kids are funny...kids include Tom Welling(Tv's Smallville), Hilary Duff(Agent Cody Banks, Lizzie McGuire) and Piper Perabo(the adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Coyote Ugly)...Perabo has her beatutiful and kidhating boyfriend who is a terrbile actor, played by an uncredited Ashton Kutcher...dont like him but he has some moments in this movie. highlights are when the kids go to the birthday across the street and a snake gets loose and the ulogy for Beans the frog played out hilariously by Steve Martin. Alan Ruck(best known for Stewart on Spin City and the movie Speed and Twister) stars as one of Martins new uptight neighbors and also theres a cameo by Wayne Knight as the chandelier fixer, (...)

Summary: A good family movie....
Review: Even though I would have much rather seen LOTR:ROTK for a second time, my friend and I went to see Cheaper By The Dozen. I was actually pretty surprised by it. Steve Martin does a really good job as Tom Baker, the father who tries to live out his dream of being the head football coach at a top university. Of course, along the way he realizes that real dreams are made of family...and life has a way of changing what your dreams really are about. Martin, of course, makes these themes come to life in a really comical way....I mean...who will ever be able to forget that chandelier! LOL This is a really cute and funny film for the whole family...especially for parents and 'tweens. I highly recommend this one....especially if all of the Lord of the Rings movies are sold out!
