Summary: One of my personal favorites
Review: The first time I saw this movie I fell in love with it. Set in the 70's, Dazed and Confused is about what happened on the last day of school. It goes through 24 hours of the lives of some kids during the 70's. Ive watched this movie so many times and it never gets old. Anytime someone says "alright, alright, alright" I know they are talking about this movie. This is definatly one that earns my seal of approval. I reccomend this movie to anyone who was a kid in the 70's and remembers all this stuff. Great movie and I wil see it a million more times before I die.

Summary: Stuck in the 70s
Review: This film is a bright spot in mostly pandering world of teen movies. Obviously inspired by "American Graffiti", Richard Linklater chose an excellent cast to bring to life his literate and funny script, set on a single day and night in May, 1976. There is no plot, but this is compensated by the concise character sketches which Linklater presents. The two heroes of the film, Randy "Pink" Floyd (Jason London) and Mitch Kramer (Wiley Wiggins) occupy opposite ends of the social spectrum at their Texas high school. Mitch is a fourteen-year old freshman suffering extended excruciating hazings; Randy, the popular all-around nice guy and football hero in the school, takes pity on him and invites him out for his first experience of all-night partying. Like many filmgoers, I recognized every character from my own high school daze (our experience must have been what is was like for moviegoers to see "American Graffiti" in 1973) and was impressed with the care and empathy Linklater brought to the whole project. Wiggins, Matthew McConnaghey, Rory Cochrane and Adam Goldberg in particular stand out with their characterizations.

Summary: I am Confused
Review: This is a perfect example of an hour and half long movie in which things that I don't understand happen. But that doesn't matter because after a while you just laugh when people do stuff that you think must be funny because everyone else around you is laughing too. The idea is pretty accurate to the horror stories we are told in Junior High about the seniors beating the freshman on the last day of school it is an ancient story that every single student fears until the last day of school when you realize that no one has beaten you up and that you have been worried about this for no reason. However the tradition is carried on in this film. I would recommend this to people who were either in high school in the year 1976 or went to a lot of wild parties in high school and ended up thinking you had a great time until you get home and your mom busts you for every penny you are worth. Hope that you enjoy this movie as much as I did and I would seriously advise you to when you watch this movie watch it with a friend don't watch it alone you will just end up scared and confused.

Summary: Sex, and Drugs and Rock & Roll.
Review: This movie has a stellar cast including the fabulously beautiful, and incredibly sexy Joey Lauren Adams, the superstar Ben Affleck (aka J.Lo's on again off again fiance), the talented Parker Posey, the now very famous Matthew McConaughey, Nicky Katt (of Boston Public), and not to be forgotten the sexy Milla Jovovich amongst others. Every Seveties High School party seems to have some part of it represented in this movie. The film does a wonderful job of capturing the atmosphere of the late Seventies! Sometimes a movie that has an incredible cast does not live up to its potential, this movie not only lives up to its potential it surpasses it. Dazed and Confused is clearly a case of a film where the collaboration of its actors exceeds their individual contributions. To put it simply this movie ROCKS !!! And just like adding whip cream to desert the songs on the soundtrack are fantastic!!! In fact the soundtrack is so good it sometimes distracts you from the film which you will want to watch more than once. If you haven't seen this movie, get it, you wont be disappointed.

Summary: Awesome Movie- based on MY highschool!
Review: Dazed and Confused is a great movie and it really represents the '70s and even today's life of many highschool students. This movie was actually based on my highschool- Robert E. Lee- in Texas. I even know some parents who still live here today who actually took place in the things they did and went to the parties. On the movie it shows initiations of the freshman...last year I was initiated myself! Yep, still goes on at our school. Except the guys don't get a beat down anymore- but they do get all of their hair shaved off. It's a tradition at Lee. If you're a stoner/hippie...or just a teenager or anyone who grew up in the '70s, I'm sure you'd love this movie!

Summary: loved the bad-ass cool cars
Review: This is one of the greatest movies ever! From the plot of the last day of school, to the varied social clubs, to the very cool cars of yesterday. This film is IT! I have watched this so many times that I practically know all the words. And what about all the good music? I didn't go to school in the 70's but could you imagine being there with all the cool cars and hotrods? Man, wouldn't that have been something, instead of today with all the imports on the road? The burnout, the cars circling the hangout; good clean fun. This movie is so REAL! Even though this is not classified as a "car movie", this is a must have for anyone who loves hotrods!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: worth your time
Review: All right. I will admit that i didn't really want to see this movie at first. I figured it was just a pointless movie about a bunch of kids who like getting stoned. Well, it's deeper than that. I had to watch it once again and i loved it even more the second time. You have a group of kids who are each special in their own way. you have Pink who is the star quarterback and who is struggling with the future. he's the nicest guy of the group. then you have Don who likes to have fun. there's Slater who is the ultimate stoner but who offers a valuable outlook on how potheads are stereotyped. then you have Pickford who is just there. not much is shown about him. you have O'Bannion who gets a kick out of hitting freshmen. he gets to do it twice in a row cause he flunked senior year. you have Wooderson whose graduation has passed years before but who still hangs with the high school crowd. on the girls side you have Darla who is very tempestuous. you have Jodi who is the sweetheart of the group and she looks out for her brother too. he's just being initiated as a freshman. you have cynthia who hangs out with Tony and Mike. they ponder their future and are deep thinkers. you have michelle who is hooked with Pickford. you have simone who is hooked with Pink. lots of characters that hold a special place in lots of people's hearts. i analyze movies and characters and i have to say this was a very interesting movie. the 70s prove to be a rowdy time. i also think that this movie stays very much in tune with the 70s culture. you've got happy faces on t-shirts and jeans, mood rings, bell bottoms, the boys' colorful shirts, the cool cars, and the AWESOME music. the soundtrack is great. check the movie out. you wont regret it. in my opinion. i am a big fan of the 70s and wish i were born then. along with other times. mood rings are big in my jewelry collection. i love bellbottoms and have long hair. feels like the 70s. PEACE

Summary: My Favorite Movie!
Review: This is my all time favorite movie! I'm only 15 and I have lived this movie. its great its funny, and its a classic! I only wish I were alive back in the 1970's. It was all about the music and having a good time and not having a care in the world. Living for the moment, See I connect so well with this movie I think that's why I like it so much! If you went to high school back in '76 then you will love this movie it is so funny and my parents told me it was true so that makes it even better! This movie is awesome cause the seniors pick on the freshmen and make them do horrible things which is great like the boys get spanked with a paddle and the chicks get covered in condiments and they have to hit the floor when ever a senior says so. A party gets cancelled so the have a beer bust and get wasted. So if you love comedies or the 70's get this.

Summary: Dazed And Confused
Review: I just bought this movie today. I had heard good things. Yet, I didn't know if I was really going to like it. I like the old classics like, "Fast Times At Ridgemont High". Now I thought that was my favorite teen movie. I'm not sure. I might like this one a bit more.

Randall 'Pink' Floyd (London) is having his last day of school in May 1976. He is having problems of what is going to happen with him later in life: athletic/academic wise. This whole movie talks about one whole day and night. It is a very smart film. The casting was very well done. I cracked up seeing Ben Affleck being obsessed with hitting freshman with paddles. Rory Cochrane was hilarious as the stoner Slater. He had the best scene where he talks about aliens, the constitution, Martha Washington, and why the dollar is green. After that we have, Adam Goldberg, Milla Jovovich, Michelle Burke, Joey Lauren Adams, Sasha Jenson, and many more. This is why the movie is so great.

The film was done very well. I never lived in the '70's. I never knew what it was like. This movie tells you a lot from what I can see. I was happy with my purchase. The only thing I didn't like was that it said it came with a theatrical trailer. I didn't get one. But, who cares? The movie is great!

Summary: Hey coach, remember me? Second period gym class!
Review: This movie has plenty of reviews already, but it's worth affirming how good it is. Like many others said, you can watch this over and over and not get bored. There's new things you notice every time, and while it has no plot, neither does life, okay man? If I wanted a good plot, I'd, uh, watch a different movie, man. I'm not even into the whole drugs/drinking/partying thing, and I still love this film. Kinda makes me wish I was.

You know what I miss about the 70's? Okay, I was never there in the first place, but anyway, it's the driving around and talking to people in other cars as you pass. That just doesn't happen anymore, you know? At least not in my town. I was driving around in my '85 Dodge Caravan the other day, by myself, with the windows down for a good half hour. I didn't see anyone I knew, man! It was depressing. But then I came home and watched Dazed and Confused, and it lifted my spirits again, taking me back to a time where that kind of stuff happened, and the people were awesome and weren't in such a hurry all the time and could just kick back and have fun. Buy this movie.

Oh, by the way, someone in another review said one thing you can do during the movie is count the number of times the word 'man' is said. I did, man, and got 211. I could be off by a couple, though. Anyway, check ya later!
