Summary: One of the All-Time Great Comedies
Review: This is an oldie, but goodie. If you've seen and liked "Rat Race," this is the original...and it's better. Star Studded cast with lots of laughs.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of my favorite comedies from the 60's
Review: I could put Jonathan Winters' destruction of Ray and Irwin's garage on a continuous play loop and still laugh every time! A long movie that dosen't feel long. Dick Shawn is fantastic and the fight between Milton Berle and Terry Thomas is another classic bit. Edie(sp?)Adams is still hot even by today's standards. This is THE classic 60's comedy and I never get tired of watching it. Check out the cast! That alone is worth checking it out. You won't be sorry.

Summary: Great Film

Summary: Classic Comedy
Review: It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World, represents the good old days of comedy entertainment. It is full of some of the very best comedy actors of our time, and is fun to view as a family. These were the good old days of movie making when it was safe to trust the film makers with content that your children could view with no surprises! I highly recommend it as an all time favorite.

Summary: One of the best movies of the 20th century
Review: I have seen this movie at least 5 times and it just gets better and better. Never have I laughed so hard at the antics of this incredible cast of people as I did watching them search for treasure! This is a must see for anyone who enjoys old fashioned comedy. It is now, and will remain one of my all time favorites.

Summary: Still the best all star comedy ever written
Review: This is the first Cinerama movie to be dropped from the 3-projector process, instead it used a new type of curved screen 70mm lens. With this in mind, you will not have those lines as you would for "How the West Was Won."Cinerama pulled out all the stops in this All Star Cast, not to mention expensive. It is non-stop laughs with the best comedy performers of all time. This movie is also in it's Roadshow format including everything from the Overture to Intermission to En'trnce to Exit music. The film is long but will fly by and the Stereo Sound and Wide Screen add so much to this film so you won't miss anything. The extras that are on this film also are extremely informative and fun. This is a film that does not disappoint.

Summary: One of the best movies of all time!
Review: This is, whithout a doubt, one of the best movies of all time. The only problem with the DVD is that the widescreen format takes a bit of getting used to.

Summary: 'Mad' about the movie!!
Review: The all-star ensemble comedy is a dying genre and few have been executed as well as this one- just for sheer plot and showmanship alone. It must've been a daunting task for director Stanley Kramer to assemble this roster back in the early 60's and attach a plausible story and script (courtesy of William and Tania Rose) which would assemble so many stars together for more than two-and-a-half hours. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the DVD has reverted back to the pared-down theatrical release version of the film, whereas the VHS tape attempted to re-insert all of the cut footage a few years back (the DVD DOES include the missing scenes in a link seperate from the movie). The good news is that the DVD presents the film in the original 'Ultra-Panavision' wide screen format- the only way to see something of this scope. Also nice is the documentary which takes interviews from surviving cast and crew members (some of which have since passed away, including Milton Berle and director Stanley Kramer). I never liked the end of the movie, and actually preferred the spin which was done on its unacknowledged remake, RAT RACE. The highlight, for me, however, is the chase reaching the state park, with dozens of people running around, in front of, and behind the "big W"....which is in plain view of everyone!!

Summary: I loved Ethel Merman & Dick Shawn - I'll save ya Momma!
Review: I saw this movie when it first came out...my daughter, who is 38, just purchased it in DVD format for me as a birthday gift. Thanks Allison!

I still own 4 copies in VHS format, because I was petrified that something would happen to it and I would never be able to see it again.

You know those questions in the Biography magazine...if you were stranded on a desert island what movie would you want to have with you? This is the one for me.
