Summary: Ed Wood's "masterpiece"
Review: A funny thing about this film is the way people who have seen it often mention the imbecilic dialogue. One of my favourite bits is when a man makes a comment to his friend about modern women. "Yeah", the friend agrees, "They've been like that all through the ages."

If you're looking for the terror and special effects of "War of the Worlds" you won't find it here. This horror film will make you cringe and laugh. A race of aliens, angry that we've ignored their messages, have come to Earth to make us pay for our insolence. They use Plan 9 to bring three corpses back to life, presumably as an advance invasion party.

The scariest thing about this film is that Ed Wood might have been right about alien intelligence. What if it turns out that aliens really are a race of preachy twits who look like us? All that money that other directors spent on special effects would have been wasted!

When the leading man first saw the script for this film he thought that a seven year-old child could have written better dialogue. Vampira was so embarassed by it she wouldn't say any lines. Bela Lugosi was dead so he couldn't say any lines. The more times you see this film the more mistakes you notice. There's too many to mention here, but they glare right at you.

If you love really bad movies, then see this one. Afterwards you should see Phil Tucker's "Robot Monster" and try to work out which one is worse.

Summary: Better Than Titanic!
Review: Many have said that this is the worst film of all time... I disagree. There are a lot of things that are wonderful about this film. My advice to critics, (who are just annoyed because they could never make a film) is the simple fact that he made this film in his vision and who are we to judge it. Look at the honesty and innocence of this film, you can tell that Ed Wood cared about his work and that he made the best film he could. It's not his fault that the budget was so small. People hear the term "Low Budget" but that still usually involves a budget of over 30k, and that is more than most people's car. Does the fact that Titanic spent 200 million dollars make it more artistic than one of these "low budget" films? Plan 9 had a good story, (it was silly, but fun none the less) and it made use of its screen time. I feel that it was a successful movie and Ed Wood was proud of it! And Besides, what has Leonard Maltin done anyway?

Summary: Hilarious! A must see
Review: Plan 9 is such a bad movie it has a charm in how dumb it is. The corny special effects, the hideous acting, and the most terrible dialogue I've ever heard ("sometimes I touch your pillow at night and it makes me less lonely") They didn't even bother to reshoot scenes where they mispronounced words! this is so bad it's funny. While not the funniest movie I've ever seen (Monty Python takes that award) this is an old classic that everyone must see, just not in the same sense as Casablanca and Gone With the Wind.

By the way, look to the grave on the right in the graveyard scene, it wobbles. The graves are cardboard! And in the fight with the flying saucer was World War II footage. Ed Wood is too cheap to rent tanks.

Summary: An Enjoyable Movie
Review: After seeing Tim Burton's Ed Wood, I felt compelled to see this movie, and I was not disappointed. This movie is absolutely hysterical in how bad it was made! But as bad as it is, that is just what makes it so good. Probably one of the most entertaining times I have spent watching a movie.

Summary: IS THIS REALLY WORSE THAN "DEATH BECOMES HER"?
Review: PLAN 9 was made for about $1.98 using borrowed sets, cardboard gravesites and has-been and never- was actors. All things considered, its really not so bad.

The REALLY terrible films are movies in which the star's Diet Coke requirements are greater than the budget of PLAN 9; movies that cost millions and yet deliver nothing in the way of good direction, acting and production. Is PLAN 9 really worse than DEATH BECOMES HER or ISHTAR or Barbra Streisand in anything? Taking the cost and talent factors into account , I'd say PLAN 9 comes off looking like King Lear.

Summary: Better than "Star Wars" - even today!
Review: "Plan 9 From Outer Space" is perhaps the visual equivalent to the shockingly bad band The Shaggs. Yet like that band's "Philosophy of the World" album, this movie has such an innocence and sincerity to it that is so completely and utterly lacking in so much of the drivel that Hollywood churns out these days, that it has managed to obtain a unique and unexplainable charm. As a result it must be seen to be believed. I can guarantee you this - once you have seen it you'll never forget it!

Summary: Can you feel the tingle? Oh lord make the tingle stop.
Review: This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo one of the most enjoyable movies ever... despite its nonexistant production values, anti-good (worse than bad) dialogue and cheesey thriller atmosphere, the production flubs and total lack of any redeeming feature make this one of the most howlingly enjoyable movies of all time. The last time I saw it I was in my early teens (I'm 18 now) and, despite my lack of wisdom on the topic, I laughed so hard it hurt. I love bad movies. Shouldn't everyone?

Summary: What the hell is up with this
Review: This was great movie! But this DVD is terrible. They got this PIP logo in the bottom right-hand corner through out the whole DVD. It's like watching the movie on a cable channel. The only things I liked about this DVD, besides the movie, is the interviews they have and the trailors. If they got rid of that PIP logo, it would be cool.

Summary: Bad but good!
Review: Ok so the movie sucked but it was hilarious! It goes from day to night in like 2 seconds over and over again!I can't even comprehend how mad Bela would be if he knew he was replaced by a chiropractor! Who would name their child Vampira? Why can't you understand Tor Johnson? What is he drunk! All in all the movie is the best/worst movie of all time!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The worst, therefore the greatest movie ever!
Review: Like so many other sci-fi movies, this one is so bad it's good. The acting is bad, the editing is bad and the effects are absolutely horrible. The continuity isn't great either. For some odd reason it switches between day and night in the same scene. Also watch out for the guy who knocks down the cardboard the tombstones in the graveyard scene. This is a must-see for any sci-fi fan.
