Summary: scary for 5 minutes, the rest is 50's gold
Review: i swear for about 5 minutes this movie actually scared me! the first part when price described what everybody was gonna do and when was handing out guns. then when the one dude said he was waiting for them to come. those scenes had so much energy and suspense built up around them you would think this was gonna be a wild horror and murder mystery(hey, they gave everybody guns and they all hate each other). but well after those great genius scenes it turns into another 50's cheese fest, still a classic but could have been waaaay better. love the skeleton.

Summary: Vincent Price's five star popcorn thriller!
Review: As Price states, the homicidal plot to kill him and acquire his millions is "so amusing." The film uses a bit of Aqatha Christie's 10 Little Indians (And Then There Were None...), but so what? It is a great Halloween classic with Price in perfect control of a sardonic grin and that angst-ridden look of "terror" that he displays at strategic moments to keep an outrageous murder- fraught plot moving. Black and white make the film work better. Also another hint about the shamelessness of Director Castle: he uses the end of the original D........., starring Simone Signoret. Does it spoil the film? Heck no! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. House on Haunted Hill is a B-Movie masterpiece!

Summary: Watch this movie all alone at night & it will scare you!
Review: Okay, I am gonna show this one at my next slumber party! I didn't see it see it when the movie 1rst came out( I'm only 16), but I had the pleasure to see it on AMC one night & I thought since it was an old movie, it wouldn't be scary. Needless to say, I was VERY wrong! I admit, it has a stupid plot(even thought it would be kinda cool if someone would pay you that much money just to stay in a haunted house for one night), but the acting makes up for it. I mean, it was like I was on the edge of my seat the whole movie. It's one of those "who's gonna die next" movies, & I promise if you haven't seen it before or even heard the ending, you'll be suprised w/ the outcome. So if you're ever in the mood to be freaked out "old-school style", then watch this, K?

Summary: "HAUNTED HILL" frighteningly ooky & hilarious!
Review: If you thought "Scream" was all that, you should see how our parents saw horror flicks! I saw this movie for the first time a few years ago on New Years Eve. I wasn't invited to a party, so I was home alone, but this movie proved to be a party in it's own right! Vincient Price's eerie personaility combined with cheap special effects, a cast of unknowns, and a classic plot proves that this movie is nothing short of a classic '50's horror flick. I'm not surprised it's what all the others are judged by. Perfect for a popcorn party or a sleepover. "The House on Haunted Hill" will keep that creepy mood of horror hanging of you and your popcorn.

Summary: untouchable
Review: William Castle is great. This movie is the most implausible ever captured on film, and it is all the better because of it. There are just so many nonsensical things. Why does the caretaker's wife randomly stand in rooms in the basement for people to find her, and how does she go zooming out of the room like she's on a conveyor belt? Why would Watson Pritchard have any desire to ever go back there? How can a skeleton marionette push a grown woman? Didn't SHE see the wires? And it sure takes a lot of planning to get a rope to coil into a room around someone's feet from outside when it's been made abundantly clear that there's no way to get out of the house! Kudos to all involved for the shameless seriousness which this movie is presented in. Truly fun... "They'll come for me now, and then they'll... come for YOU!"

Summary: STILL A CLASSIC HORROR FILM EVEN IN THE 90'S
Review: I SAW THIS MOVIE AS A YOUNG GIRL IN THE LATE FIFTIES WITH MY FAMILY ....IT WAS AWSOME THEN AND IT STILL IS.....THE MOVIE THEATER EVEN HAD A SKELETON DANGLING FROM THE CEILLING WHILE THERE WAS ONE ON THE SCREEN. NEEDLESS TO SAY EVERYONE WAS SCREAMING.........WE COULD NOT SLEEP WITHOUT WARM MILK FOR WEEKS..................................

Summary: What a campy horror flick
Review: This movie is awesome for sleepovers. It is also funny and fake you have to laugh at it. There are so many unanswered questions in it. How did the woman get out side of the house when there was no way out. The was a hole in the head of the skeleton which proved it was fake and it had strings. But it was a hilarious and scary movie. Starring Vincent Price, Julie Mitchum, and other unknown faces

Summary: House on Hauted Hill mixes horror and mystery.
Review: This movie is great!! I have seen very few horror movies, but this is the best!! My teacher showed it to us on Halloween. It is so scary the girls sitting behind me blew my eardrums out with their screams. Yet it has mystery, It left my classmates and I wondering 'till the end of the movie. I would give this movie 4 stars, and two thumbs up. If you ask me, or anyone in Mr.H's class at Hunters Glen Elemantry we would all say get this movie!!
