Review: A very funny movie. The 3 funniest things about this movie are.....#3 that rich guy who thought he was a hotshot got swindled out of 40,000 bucks!! I love it!.....#2 The used car salesman who made 700 bucks selling marion a crappy car.....#1 Mr Arbogast getting stabbed and falling down the stairs like a dope. The way he fell down those stairs was so funny I could'nt stop laughing for 10 mins afterward!!

Summary: Simply Outstanding!
Review: I have seen "Psycho" quite a few times and am always stunned. Everytime I watch it, I can't believe how a quarter of the way through the movie there could be a major climax, and as with every Hitchcock movie, I am always anticipating the conclusion. I have not yet seen all of Hitchcock's movies but am working on that now because every one I have ever seen amazes me. There will never be movies as good as Alfred Hitchcock movies, or Stanley Kubrick movies, never.

Summary: ive never understood hitchcock
Review: So much has been said about this supposed masterpiece that it boggles my mind how many people think its the quintessential horror film. The infamous shower scene that terrified millions and made them avoid taking showers for days at a time,is laughable.I saw this movie when i was around 12yo,and when the shower scene came i was just hoping i would catch a shot of some areas on the female body youngsters arent supposed to see.But instead we get a painfully obvious man wearing a wig,at no time did i think the killer was anyone else but n.bates.This film never terrified me,possibly because by the time i viewed this movie i already saw amityville horror, exorcist, the brood, friday the 13th,halloween,black christmas, dawn of the dead, night of the living dead etc..You get the point,at the time this movie probably was chilling, but when your exposed to so many horror films at such a young age it becomes more difficult to get spooked. Also, what annoys me about hitchcock, and is probably why i was never a fan of his,is his attention to detail, his perfectionism exudes off the screen, and the characters become confined within the script instead of their performances flowing naturally and transcending the script.Hitch was very overrated and much to much praise is given to him,and its time people move on,he was an average director with a few tricks up his sleeve that people mistook for genius.

Summary: The finest work of the finest director
Review: Well, what can I say about "Psycho" that has not been said before. To start with the movie is a masterpiece of the macabre featuring an outstanding performance by Anthony Perkins. Janet Leigh plays the superb Marion Crane whom we root for until Hitchcock stuns us with her death. Vera Miles and Martin Balsam provide decent support whilst Josef Stefano's script is unsurpassed. Bernard Hermann's score is chilling and it only uses strings but as always the star of the show was the master of suspence. Magnificent plot, script, score, actind and direction - in other words perfect cinema.

Summary: Think About It!
Review: Everything that has been said about this film is true...even more.

Think about the last few reels. Norman and his mother are at each other out of sight in the upstairs bedroom. A womans voice says that she doesnt want to be put in the cellar. However she has to relent. Now we cut away from the slightly open door. ....we hear that Norman is picking up mother...we , the audience are apprehensive..about finally seeing mother...

We might think that Hitchcock will not tease us by just showing feet walking down the stairs..However, here is where his genius comes in ..we get again the dreaded "over head" shot of the stairs..( the last time we had this shot in the film is when Mr. Arbogast was done in.) Therefore, there is visual anxiety for the audience here..and with that the ( seemingly) appearance of Mother and Norman ..going down the stairs to the fruit cellar.

This is not only pure cinema but pure audience manipulation. A unique film experience

Summary: Great Directing But Not Too Scary
Review: I could understand why this movie is a classic. Hithcock's great directing in this movie makes it thriller. However, this whole movie was not full of suspense. Although the movie had its moments with frightening scenes. A big reason this movie was such a succses was due to all the hype and hithcock's reputataion. If it weren't for all the hype it would not of been as succsesful. This movie was not a low-budget film, if you compare it too John Carpenter's halloween, the reason why people might say it's better is becuz hithcock's reputataion and all the hype. On the longrun this movie is not better than halloween! i'm sorry the way John Carpenter made that low-budget movie a sucsses was just amazing. Unlike pyscho there was no hype at all for halloween untill Carpenter proved everybody his hard work paid off untill halloween became a hit. This shows that you don't have to a Alfred Hitchcock to make the best kind of movies. I have to agree, Hitchcock is a great direct, but his 1960 classic, Pycho cannot beat John Carpenters 1978 classic, Halloween.

Summary: You people are idiots
Review: I don't understand why the review of the original Pschyo and the newest version by Gus Van Sant differed. Newsflash people. BOTH WERE EXACTLY THE SAME. Almost every shot and every piece of dialogue was exactly the same. And the shots Gus Van Sant decided to actually change were shots that Hitchcock himself wanted to do, but couldn't because of limited budget and technology.

The only reason Gus Van Sant's Psycho flopped is this: BOTH MOVIES ARE BAD! Hitchcock himself would never have been successful with this movie in the 90s. The truth of the matter is, people who say they love classic films over today's films(eg. Casablanca, Citizen Kane) say it to give the impression they are intelligent film connoiseurs.

Please save your ramblings for film students (you'll find these students working at your local one hour photo)

Summary: Hitch at his BEST!
Review: Dear Fellow Movie Buffs,"Psycho" is one the GREATESTfilms of all time next to the "Wizard of Oz". Norman Batesis really someone that makes you nervous to be around. It is like he is going to pull a knife out and kill you.. (actually he did) Marion Crane is on the run with $40,000! (That was A LOT in 1959!) The new "PSYCHO" does not compete with this. The new "PSYCHO" was dedicated to Mr. Hitchcock.. If HE saw it, he would have rolled over in his grave.. It is nice to see Hitch's nutty daughter (in the film) in the movie.. ONE OF THE BEST IF NOT THE BEST! See it yourself and by the way, "GOOD EVENING!"... 5 STARS!!!! END

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great!!!
Review: This is the best PSYCHO there is. Yes, some parts may be boring or dull but some parts were pure great. Those of you who like the new modern horror films like Halloween H20 would hate this movie.
