Review: This is my most favorite film of all time. Poor Scarlett that she is not married. I really like the costume design and the scenery. It takes place in Tara and Scarlett wants a suitible husband. In tape 2 it is really sad and exciting. You better run down to the store or rent one to see the Gone with the Wind.

Summary: Worth the wait after the "Special Edition" run in theaters.
Review: The restoration of this film to its original grandure was worth the wait for its transfer to DVD. I have the laser disc version which is the same presentation as the DVD (presented as it was when it was originally shown when first released). The DVD version shows obvious improvements in color, clarity and sound.This film is, like Casablanca, one of the greatest films ever made. Although it is a long film, I'd rather sit through it instead of "Titanic" over and over again. The script and actors characterizations are priceless on film. This is definately a must for anyone's DVD collection!

Summary: Gone With the Wind WAS WideScreened
Review: In the 1960s, Gone With the Wind was "transfered" to wide screen by chopping and distorting the picture's composition. For many years, this was the version shown theatrically. I was disappointed that the credits at the start of the film were off center and partially cropped on the new DVD release.

Review: I remember sitting in the balcony at the Roosevelt Theater in Kenosha Wisconsin watching this movie for five and one half hours!! It was the greatest movie I've ever seen on the big screen! It has to be seen on the big screen to appreciate the photography!

Review: Margaret Mitchell done proud. The adaptation leaves out some of the essential characterization of Mitchell's book, but the film is marvelous, none the less.
