Rating: Summary: luv that flounder Review: "you guys playing cards?" and "where do you go to school?" after 20 years it still cracks me up.
Rating: Summary: A CLASSIC guy movie...'though chicks dig it, too. Review: Animal House, Diner, and possibly Bull Durham rate as my favourite 'guy movies'. You've got to have a few of these around to ease the pain of sitting through 'chick flicks'. Alot of laughs, and guys just behaving, understandably, poorly. Perfect!
Rating: Summary: An original comedy classic Review: One of the funniest movies ever made. The writing and acting are near perfect. It spawned a lot of imitators (Porkies, etc) in the years following, but none came close to Animal House. I have one of the older DVD versions and the transfer is atrocious, by far the worst I've seen. The widescreen collector's edition has garnered praise, be sure to get it if you want a DVD version.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Movie. DVD Extras Makes This Worth Buying Review: If you liked the movie, you'll love the DVD. The behind-the-scenes extra and interviews were well worth getting this DVD.
Rating: Summary: Funniest movie ever? Review: This movie is a classic. Don't see any other party-animal movies till you've seen this one(Senior trip, Can't hardly wait, Half baked, Mall Rats, etc...)Not only is it really REALLY funny, but it actually has a good story, amazing!
Rating: Summary: I thought that this was one of the funniest movies i've seen Review: this movie was weird but it was funny. I really liked larry and bluto the best. I recemend this to others who want a grownup comedy. the charactors were perfect for this kind of movie, and the cast was well chosen. they could play really good drunk guys.
Rating: Summary: Rowdy, Raunchy Fun. Review: Animal House is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. The toga party is a classic scene. The road trip was funny, too. Thew grades were funny. The end was good. This movie has no point but I don't think comedies should have big lessons in them if it's like this one. Rated R for language, crude sex rrelated humor, and nudity.
Rating: Summary: If You Went to College, You'll Understand Review: The best scenes are the food fight (which John Belushi instigates, of course), the scene with the "charming (but annoying) boy with guitar" played by Stephen Bishop, who scored in 1977 with "On and On", and the Deltas' final revenge in the end. Mark Metcalf (who played the sadistic Neidermeyer) went on to do cameos in Twisted Sister videos and John Vernon who played the evil Dean Wormer went on to play in other comedy films the same character, but still hilarious. We all know what happened to John Belushi, who played Bluto.
Rating: Summary: DVD COLLECTORS EDITION IS A WINNER!!! Review: This Collectors DVD blows the old (non-special edition)DVD and VHS out of the water. Sharp widescreen pictures, no pixelization, and improved sound. What better way to watch a true classic of our time!! What's more you get an excellent documentary on the making of the film. It's all entertaining stuff - especially to see how the gang have aged and what other work they've done in the film highlights. Wow, Karen Allen still looks great!! John Belushi what a great talent. He will live on forever. Remember - knowledge is good.
Rating: Summary: What frat life was really like! Review: The scene where they watched the slides of the rushees really happens in frathouses across America! "We need the dues!" A classic!
