Review: A funny retelling of the Jules Verne classic with the boys as the servent of the great grandson of the origonal around the world adventurer.The boys are good better than the writing and the supporting villian is an interesting character. A clean fun family film. Best scene is in read China as the Communists try to brainwash the stooges. A hopeless task.

Review: In This Spoof of Jules Verne's adventure films.Moe ,Larry & "Curly Joe":De Rita travel with the Great Grandson of "Phinease Fogg I"Around the world in 80 days Without paying for their trip.The gobal trek is being done.So that "Mr.Phinease Fogg III"(Played here with some twitty apolmb by Jay Sheffield) can win a bet for $40,000 pounds from the Great Grandson of "Randolph Stuart III".Supposedly .Mr.Stuart's grandfather had bet against the first "Fogg's Gobal Trek"and lost..due to some reputedly unothidox methiods used by Sheffield's grandfather to win."Stuart"manipulates "Mr.Fogg"to go around the world..Without spending a farthing.The Boys go along with their boss to show him the methiods that "The Three Stooges"have picked up as "Born Chissilers".What "Mr.Fogg",Moe Larry & "Curly Joe"are unaware of is that"Randolph Stuart III"is really"Vickers Cavendish"a feeling conman and bank robber.Who is tricking "Mr.Fogg"into creating a phoney gobal trek.Having the young fool sign a phoney document at "The Regentcy St.Bank".While "Cavendish"steals the bank's currantcey shipment of $55,000 pounds."Fogg"is framed for bank robbery and While "Fogg","The Stooges"and a beautiful young lady:"Amelia Carter"(played by Joan Freeman)try to finish their trip.They are pursued by "Vickers Cavendish"(Pete Forester)and his henchman:"Flitch"(Walt Burke).Who try to make sure that "Mr.Fogg"never returns to London alive to testify against them.And to complicate matters.Scotland Yard's top Police Detective"Inspt.Crotchet"(Maurice Dallimore)tails the troup to bring "Mr.Fogg","The Stooges And "Ms.Carter"to Justice.The film has some laughs as The Stooges revive their "Maha"Routine and "The Pop Goes The Weasel"Bit that sends "Curly Joe"Into a fighting rage that helps our heroes escape a Vendictive Maha and win a Sumo Wrestiling Match in San Fransisco,Cal.But The Scene where the boys finally help "Inspt.Crotchet","Mr.Fogg"and "Ms.Carter"Foil"Mr.Cavendish"and "Flitch"with the "Fighting in The Dark"Bit goes on too long.And The Race to get Their boss back To "The Reformer's Club"to win the bet.Becomes a tired slapstick chase that only has mild laughs.The Stooges try to spoof Jules Verne.But It's not an easy parody..It's too bad that they didn;t get a chance to spoof "20,Thousand Leagues Under The Sea!".With Emil Sitka as "Prof.Arronax",and possibly Jimmy Darren as "Ned Land"and Their old neimsis:Gene Roth as "Capt.Nemo"? Well? One can only dream of what "The Three Stooges"Could have done back them.

Review: My favorite Three Stooges film of the 1960s features deserves much better. Columbia's DVD presents THE THREE STOOGES GO AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAZE in its original widescreen format. But although it's advertised as "remastered," the visual quality leaves much to be desired... grainy overall, with several low contrast moments. Even though no classic Curly or Shemp short subject is included as a bonus, they advertised the DVD to include trailers. BUT, they aren't Stooge trailers... just three trailers for other upcoming Columbia comedy discs. Columbia dropped the retail price ... It wasn't enough. This DVD's presentation quality is not much better than some bargain basement pd vendors... Message to Columbia & Sony: between the Stooges' great legacy, and the profitable property they've been to you for the past 70 years... the fans and the Stooges deserve better! Very disappointing DVD!!!

Review: Not as bad as "Snow White & The 3 Stooges"(1961), but still not that good. "The 3 Stooges Go Around the World in a Daze"(1963) is surprisingly boring in various segments and is somewhat dissapointing when compared to the trio's previous films. Joe DeRita reenacts Curly's wild, slapstick routine whenever Larry plays "Pop Goes the Easel"(this time the musical instrument is a flute, not a violin as in "Punch Drunks"). This may seem interesting to watch, but it's no match for Curly's original gag. Skip this one and buy "The Outlaws Is Coming"(1964) which is much more entertaining.

Review: Of all the Stooges movies this is my personal favorite. It is well-made and contains lots of gags and lots of Stooges. And the storyline, which takes the Stooges around the world, isn't that bad either.

Summary: 3 STOOGES GO... is one of the reasons they went
Review: One of the Stooges' last and arguably their least starring feature film. I sure hope all the good stuff happens in the final reels, 'cause I've never been able to stay awake very long when watching it. Columbia, what the heck are you doing? There's plenty more short subjects out there, and some fairly decent Stooge features (HAVE ROCKET WILL TRAVEL, 3S IN ORBIT, and especially 3S MEET HERCULES) so why are we getting this turkey?

Summary: It's Really Not That Bad!...
Review: People say that this DVD is grainy. Well, it is a little grainy, but it's not nearly as grainy as the previous 3 Stooges DVDs. The quality of this movie is really good. It's in High Definition and it's also in Anamorphic Widescreen. Also, the movie overall is very funny. I find it to be Curly-Joe's best film. So, stop complaining people!... This DVD is much better than the 3 Stooges' previous DVD releases.

Review: Phileas Fogg III (great-grandson of the hero of Jules Verne's story) is a Englishman who likes his life run precisely on schedule, aided by his servants Moe, Larry and Curly-Joe. And then, just as he is beginning to feel that it is time to break the order, along comes a man who challenges him to go around the world in 80 days, but without using any of his own money. Phileas accepts the challenge and takes off, little realizing that he is a being used by a criminal mastermind, who has already framed him for a bank robbery, and now wants him dead. Can Phileas, aided by his three wacky servants survive...and win the bet? [Black and White, released in 1963, with a running time of 1 hour, 33 minutes.] This movie was made when the Stooges were enjoying a later-in-life renaissance of popularity, and needed to make some money. (They didn't do well off of their shorts, but that's a different story.) The boys are older in this movie, and more subdued. ("Uh-uh, that's a 21. We don't do that anymore.") That said, though, it is great to see the boys in a full-length movie, up to their old hijinks. If you are a Three Stooges fan, then I highly recommend that you get this movie!
