Summary: Classic comedy
Review: RE-PRINT THIS MOVIE!!! Like all classic comedy, it starts out at a fairly slow pace, and gradually gets more bizarre, until everything careens out of control. Mostel,Wilder,Shawn and Mars are all brilliant! Brooks' best screenplay, although "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstein" were funnier overall.

Summary: LOL riot
Review: The first 45 minutes are the funniest ever put on film. Zero and Gene play off each other like taffy and seltzer. I've watched it over and over and it cracks me up every time.

Summary: An ignored Mel Brooks classic
Review: I've watched it, and I've watched it.....and I'm still hysterical

Summary: One of the best comedies ever made.
Review: My father, a CPA, never watched a movie without falling asleep, and never laughed at a single comedy in his life. However, when I rented the PRODECERS, he fell on the floor with howling until his ribs ached. What more can I say except what FOOL studio is refusing to re-release this CLASSIC??? We need some good pirates if they are so stupid,

Summary: What can we do to see it again?
Review: This video has long been unavailable -- and it's a WONDERFUL movie. Great comic acting, of course! Which can serve as great tutoring for anyone interested in learning the genre. And with its tax scheming & theater savvy approach -- it's still current in the 90s. Anybody have any ideas how to push for its re-release? I know several people who've been desperately trying to find it to buy lately!

Summary: This one belongs to any "Best Comedy" list, anywhere :-)
Review: Somebody, please arrange to have Mel Brooks sent to a studio and force him to record his thoughts on The Producers. Tape it as a commentary and package it with the movie - including the original bomb - in a DVD release!

Summary: My all time favorite movie!
Review: I have watched this movie at least 8 times and I always laugh. Gene Wilder, Zero Mostel, Kenneth Mars, etc. make this a masterpiece of humor. I salute Mel Brooks on this timeless movie. I did find it available in my local video store though the print the tape was made from was not high quality. I hope someone has preserved a copy of this film for all time. It is more than worth saving!..."Springtime for Hitler and Germany..."

Summary: What can one say in one line?
Review: Easily one of the 100 funniest films ever produced. Gene, Zero and Mel have created a work that will last forever, long after "The Waterboy" and "can't Hardly Wait" have crumbled into celluloid oblivion. Harry Roth from Scarsdale gives this 5 stars.
