Rating: Summary: LOVELY Review: That's one of the best movie ever. The Music is so Fantastic. The Story is great. All the girls are beautifull. The actors are great. The decors are so cool. And the five last minutes are So Great....... Austin Powers is kind of a Casino Royale Remake.... But Casino Royale is far more better. Please release it in DVD !!! But Who is le Chifre ? -Nobody Knows, not even Le Chiffre.Ahead Shuttle (Ahead@caramail.com)
Rating: Summary: trash Review: The unfunniest comedy ever made. Might have worked as a 89 minute film...but at two hours plus...ouch ouch ouch. You will laugh at the 4 or 5 minutes in which Woody Allen stars, otherwise this is a piece of trash. Save your time..save your money.
Rating: Summary: Very Funny Movie ; PLEASE RE-RELEASE IT! Review: So it's not a straight forward film adaptation of the original novel it's supposed to be based on. Who cares! It's still a great film. As another reviewer said, the original Austin Powers! I'm fond of late 1960's films, and this one has it all, the humor, the fashions, and best of all, all of the beautiful women in it. Jacqueline Bisset has a bit part in it (billed as Jacky Bisset), Joanna Pettet, Ursula Andress, and many, many other beautiful women are in it. I've got the VHS, but a widescreen deluxe DVD of this movie would be even better. Where's the petition, I'll sign it!
Rating: Summary: A wonderfull 60's film. Woddy Allen & David Niven are great! Review: When I saw this the first time, it reminded me of Austin Powers. But the funny plot revlving around Woody Allen(Jimmy Bond)and David Niven as James Bond is a stich! A classic worth seeing! Orsen Wells, is the funniest I've ever seen him, and Davd Niven is so perfect for the roll of 007 it's amazing that they didn't make a sequel!!!(I loved it!)
Rating: Summary: "Have No Fear, Bond Is Here...." Review: The worst film I ever enjoyed
Rating: Summary: The Original Austin Powers Review: This movie is akin to Austin Powers in that it satirizes the James Bond spy movie of the 60s. But it is (probably unintentionally) a satire of that whole 60s "hip" "swinging" pop culture since its actually from that period. There are some interesting cultural and cinematic references (like the expressionist inspired scene set in Berlin). Mildly funny, but a good period piece.
Rating: Summary: Sheer Unalduterated Heck Review: Move over, Sean Connery. Roger Moore, eat yer heart out. Barry Nelson is about to take over. It wasn't meant to be funny, but it is. A telephone booth blowing up the berlin wall, the bad quy ending up being Bond's nephew, everyone blowing up at the end... We're all glad it happened. We're equally glad it'll never happen again.
Rating: Summary: 70s Gen-X ? Review: This is the most awesome movie I've ever seen. Perhaps its late, and its the icedtea thats talking, but this movie contained so many different styles of humor and spoofs from so many different angles, that all work together! You really have to see it to understand it.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: Well, of course a lot of hard core James Bond fans aren't going to be into this movie. It's not an action flick, but a bizarre and brainy spoof. Woody Allen (in his first film role) is the evil villian (?!). Towards the end he accidentally swallows an atomic pill of his own design. When he hiccups, little atomic smoke rings come out of his mouth. He has 100 hiccups until the pill detonates. Bizarre! This is really an ultra mod, whacked out, 1967 hippie flick. Most action buffs just aren't twisted enough to get into this movie.
Rating: Summary: Not bad... Review: It's not the best in the series, but it's a nice entertaining one. It could be the last one though if they were to end it.
