Summary: Breathtaking
Review: To see this film on the big screen is to rethink all you ever thought of this film. Lush and glorious, the cinematography is unbeatable. Despite a few drags in the story line in the second half of the film (and the sheer implausability of preferring virtually anyone to Clark Gable), the plot is mesmerising and the acting is peerless, particularly the female leads. Wonderful film.

Summary: The Most Fantastic Movie Made
Review: I think this movie was just wonderful. It was made to display life back then so yes there is racism and sexism but that is just part of history. I think this is either a movie you love or hate but most people obviously do love it. I thought it stuck with the book very closely and would have loved to see all the parts in the book in the movie but then you get the people that think the longer the movie the worse it is so the shortness in understandably forgiven. I just cant wait to get this on on DVD.

Summary: Historically inaccurate!!
Review: First of all. An irish family could not get that high in society in the 1860s. Second of all. Scarlet was such a snot who was mean to the people who did the kindest things for her. Also it was a hideous soap opera. Scarlet would merry one person. They would die and she would not care a bit. She was in it for the money. Where is the 0 star rating?

If she were to get killed I might just start clapping!

Summary: The best movie of all time!
Review: This movie is so beautiful. In it are combined all of the aspects that make up classic movies. The acting is brilliant. The only thing better than this movie is the book. One more thing, this movie is absolutly non-racist. It accuratly portrays life in that that era and place. Anyone who would not give this movie 5 stars is absolutly nuts. You obviously have no idea of what a classic movie is.

Summary: Big, big, big.
Review: This movie annoys me. I'm not a fan of sentimentality or spectacle, but this is the way to do it if you're going to do it. Even if you don't like this film, you can't deny the impact it has had on popular culture. Therein lies its greatness. Oh, and Sweet Hattie McDaniel... You just want her to wrap you up in your arms and tell you everything will be alright.

Summary: Is there any better entertainment?
Review: Is this a great movie? Absolutely!!! Maybe the acting isn't the greatest, its a one-sided view of history, and we all know that Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable didn't like each other. But oh, the spectacle! The story! The dresses! It is an unforgettable movie, and one which will never fade as an all time favourite. And anyone who calls themselves a movie buff, or someone who just wants to lose themselves in another world for some 4 hours, cannot go by this as great entertainment.

Summary: It's too long
Review: I read this book when I was about 12, and now I am not. One of my favorite female heroes in this book and the movie; but, the movie was too long; and of course, by now, there are so many trailers out and scenes and dialogue shown all the time; there are hardly any surprises.

Summary: Great, but a lot was left out
Review: Gone With the Wind is a wonderful movie! Although it left out several details (like two of her children!!!), it didn't try to add much and didn't change it a lot to make it "Politicly correct". It deverved every award it got! It's a must-see!

Summary: A CLASSIC MOVIE EVERYONE SHOULD SEE!!!!
Review: The first time I saw this movie was when I was ten years old and couldn't sleep one night. This was on the late late show and my eyes stayed glued to the television screen. All aspects of the story were compeling and the actors/actresses were just wonderful. They were true MOVIE STARS. The love stories between Rhett & Scarlett, Ashley & Melanie and Ashley & Scarlett gave me lots to think about during my growing up years. If you haven't seen this movie you should. It definately deserves the title "BEST MOVIE EVER MADE".
