Summary: Wonderful entertainment
Review: What a pleasure it was to see this for the first time in 20 years. Steve McQueen is, of course, the film's defining character, but everybody plays their part well, including a rather strange Charles Bronson and an even stranger James Coburn (he's supposed to be Australian but sounds like he's swallowing a large fruit). The camaraderie of the prisoners is effortlessly conveyed right from the start of the movie. Watch out, too, for the distinction the film draws between the "honorable" German air force officers and the thoroughly evil Gestapo agents.

Summary: the great escape gets better and better with each viewing!!!
Review: The great escape is a fantastic movie.The part that Steve Mcqueen plays was actually not in the script.That whole great moorcycle chase was all steves idea.The original idea was to have "the cooler king" Steves part was to just board a train and escape.But steve had a great idea.Another of my favorites in the movie is Coburn and Bronson.James garner is great also .I totally reccomend this film.It is a masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: ONE OF THE BEST IF NOT THE BEST WAR MOVIE OF ALL TIME, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN THE ONLY ONE JUST AS GOOD THOUGH THEY WERE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MOVIE. OFTEN IT HAS ITS FUNNY MOMENTS BUT THEN TURNS UPSETING TOWARD THE END. IF YOU HAVE THREE HOURS FREE I SUGGEST TO SIT DOWN AND TURN ON THE GREAT ESCAPE. IT GETS BETTER EVERY TIME YOU SEE. AN EASY FIVE STAR RATING.

Review: I am 12 years old.I saw this film about...3-4 months ago and I must say..it is definetly my best!With Charles Bronson.....Steve MacQueen...and james Garner,this is a great film.I have watched it about 20 times and I NEVER get bored of it.If you haven't watched it,then you will enjoy it.i enjoyed this movie alot!

Summary: WWII Classic!
Review: Steven McQueen never did a better job acting, then in The Great Escape. This movie is very well directed, acted and has a great script. Daniel Fapp did a outstanding job photographing, the film in Germany. One of my all time favorite films it has a great story that unlike most POW films is true! This film will always remain one of the best of all films ever made.

Review: This is the best of the classic WWII POW movies (Stalag 17, Bridge on the River Kwai, etc.). It's funny, intelligent, and very suspenseful, with a fantastic international cast -- including Charles Bronson in his oddest role ever, and James Garner as a young William Holden.

Review: If one simply looks at my email address, he can see that I am a true fan of this wonderful film. Although the story somewhat varies from the novel, that does not mean it is any worse. The fine combination of great acting and superb cinematography makes this movie one for the history books. A must see and a must own. (I've seen it over 10 times and I still love it)

Review: Steve McQueen is McCool is this wartime classic. James Garner is great too. Really a first rate movie. It's my favorite war movie from that era. For a real treat, get the soundtrack. That is killer. Now you can relive every moment of the "Escape" when you're in the car.

Summary: The Best Movie ever Made!!!!
Review: This movie is a true story of courageous W.W.II prisoners. The actors all give their best preformances and everybody in the movie is so cool. I am thirteen and i saw this when I was twelve. My brother who is 19 likes it alot too.My favorite charactor is Danny, (Charles Bronson) I like because he built the tunnel and he was very brave to escape from it. ( you'll find out why when you watch it. If I tell you now it would give it away.) My Favorite line is when Shedwick( James Coburn) says to the German "I'm watching him. I'm a lifegaurd" With Great actors like Steve McQueen and James Garner, this movie is a timeless classic.

Summary: THIS IS IT!
Review: This is the music from The Great Escape. I had been looking for this for years before I finally found it. This is so fantastic. It will take you back to the first time you ever watched one of the greatest war movies ever and the thrill you experienced as the tunnel was being dug. I can't express how great this is. It comes complete with fabulous liner notes and everything. This is a must have.
