Summary: One of the best
Review: This is a good one; indeed, one of the best. It also has many good one-liners. One of the absolute best (I won't give away the context) occurs when Burton (after one of the villains says that his spy trial would be "painful") says, "Yes, almost as painful as that long drop to the end of the rope."

Summary: This is the greatest War movie of all time.
Review: This is the greatest war movie of all time. Packed with action, physical and intellectual, this movie keeps you on the edge of your seat. Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood, and Mary Ure have great performances. I recommend this movie to everyone...

Summary: Buy It !!!
Review: Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood, what more can you say? Not your likely pair but they put on a great performance and entertain from start to finish. Story and screenplay by Alistair MaClean, one of my favorite authors, is non stop action.

Summary: It's Testostaron Time
Review: Clint only reloads once. Need I say more. If you're a guy and haven't seen this movie you're only a shell of a man. Nobody speaks German Richard Burton is totally confusing.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A fun film with wicked plot twists
Review: When I first saw "Where Eagles Dare" I was so confused by the end of it I didn't know what to think. I watched it again today, on Turner Classic Movies, and I got it all, I think I can say. Now, I usually use the four star scale, and on that I would give this film a three and a half, despite obvious minor flaws (Germans only speak German to each other, not to Americans/Brits). A couple of parts I think could've been handled better, and a couple didn't make sense, however overall this film will provide you with intelligent entertainment for a couple of hours or so. But be prepared for one WICKED plot. In other words, pay close attention.

Summary: Excellent espionage WW2 film.
Review: Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood star in this excellent WW2 espionage film about Burton and co. assigned to rescue an American General held hostage in a castle in the Bavarian Alps or so it seems.Get ready for some double crossing and double-double crossing. This is in the same league as The Dirty Dozen, Kelly's Heroes and The Great Escape. Watch out for the excellent cable car scene.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Must have in your classic war movie collection!
Review: This is a classic!! Everyone has to have this in their collection. There are several movies that come to mind when you mention "Where Eagles Dare". You have to ad Kelly's Heros, The Dirty Dozen, A Bridge Too Far,Iron Cross, and the Guns of Navarone. All had great casts and are entertaining to watch. These movies on DVD with some unseen video and scenes would be wounderful!!

Summary: It is one of the best film about WW II
Review: Excellent picture, very good actores and trilling story

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Brilliant example of the genre
Review: The action-adventure film really hasn't been improved upon since this movie was released. It combines mystery-level plotting with astonishing action scenes. Quite an antidote to the dumbed-down action movies of our day. While some of the special effects show their age, I'd still take this movie over any headache-inducing, Jerry Bruckheimer-produced joke-of-an-adventure that comes out twenty times per summer.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Broadsword calling Danny Boy...
Review: From the opening sweep of the camera encapsulated with the storming music, we begin one of the greatest films of all time. Richard Burton in his best film, aligned with Clint Eastwood in an all star cast of the best WW II movie ever. Watch it NOW!
