Summary: Pleasantly Shocked
Review: I was both pleased and amazed to find how consistent the movie was with Biblical accounts of Christ. The movie not only portrayed what Jesus did, but it was also clearly stating who he is--God in the flesh. The story gave references to His Diety throughout, but none clearer than when the Resurrected Jesus told Doubting Thomas to touch his wounds. Thomas' reply was quoted exactly as it is written in the Bible "My Lord and my God." There were plenty of scenes that brought tears to my eyes. I highly recommend this movie to any and all.

Summary: Loved it!
Review: In this film Jesus is portrayed as a friendly, appealing person without taking away from the complexity of His nature and the depth of emotions he felt. It moved me to tears. During the crucifixion scene my three-year-old kept saying, "Oh, poor Jesus!" -- but she danced in delight when Jesus came back to life. Thanks to ABC for showing this film on Easter and to the film's sponsors. I am going to buy several copies of this as Christmas presents.

Summary: "Unless you become as little children..." Matt 18:3
Review: I have been a Christian for nearly 20 years and have studied the scriptures thoroughly. It was with great delight that I watched this claymation. I affirm what the other reviewers have written and would add that it is rare to find such an endearing and therefore, what I consider, accurate portrayal of our Lord. I just happened upon watching it and was so drawn in I did not consider it a children's movie until reading the listing in the newspaper to find the title. It would do the Christian world well to adapt this child-like perspective of Jesus and I therefore recommend it to all audiences.

Summary: ABC broadcast of this video
Review: For those who missed the ABC-TV broadcast, too bad. It was an excellent production. The claymation does make the movie come alive. I loved the quality of the production and the new angle presented by the writers. A bit jumpy and dis-jointed in spots, but overall a thouroughly delightful event. A must have!

Summary: Jesus The Miracle Maker
Review: I was immensely pleased to see such a high quality program about the life of Christ finally geared towards children. My kids watched it with fascination. Even though they are often told about Jesus and his sacrifice, they seemed to understand it more after being able to "see" it. I recommend this movie to anyone who want their children to understand the Miracle.

Summary: Appeals to kids and adults
Review: I saw this on ABC on Easter Sunday. I liked it so much I immediately looked on Amazon.com to see if/when it would be available for sale. You can bet I will buy this when it comes out. I thought it followed the Bible more closely than Prince of Egypt did. The claymation and depiction of Jesus loving the children appealed to my 4-yr old, and the way it stayed pretty close to the Biblical stories of Jesus appealed to me.

Summary: Miracle Maker - Moving Tribute to our Lord
Review: Having studied the scripture in detail, I was pleased with the accurate portrayal of Christ. The story was presented in such a manner that parents could watch with their children. I must say that this is the first claymation film I have seen that brought me to tears.

Summary: Just plain miraculous!
Review: Saw this on ABC-7 and was shocked ... it was incredible! The animation and production were top-notch and innovative, and the portrayal of Jesus was both true to the Gospel record and sure to be a surprise to everyone. It really brings across how luminous yet attractive a person he is - and, by implication, how attractive God really is - a character without equal before or since. You are drawn to him inexorably, as he teaches, heals, laughs ...

The characters are all nicely fleshed out, and although there are some slight departures from the Gospel records, they are not worth squabbling about (although I would have liked to see more detail about the guards at the tomb, etc.). There are also some unexpected touches of humor.

Ever wonder why most secular books on Jesus use those eerie, morose, almost alien, old paintings of him on their cover? Just as these serve to distance you from his humanity and warmth, this movie reminds us of just these qualities that drew scholars, religious leaders, and "sinners" alike to him. You will never think of Jesus in the same way again.

Although the voice of Mary Magdalene and the video transfer could have been better, the film is still great.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: I just watched this on ABC, and it is great! It is amazingly true to the Bible. The only things I noticed different from the Biblical account was that they gave Jairus' daughter a more central role--which is a creative idea--and when Jesus is telling about the mansions in Heaven ("In my Father's house are many mansions..."), he is talking to Jairus' daughter rather than His disciples. I like the way they explain things, such as the parts they add to the Parable of the Good Samaritan telling why a priest wouldn't want to touch an injured man and why the idea of a Samaritan helping a Jew sounded so strange. They also emphasize Barabbas just enough to explain that he lead a rebellion, and they show Judas' motivation for betraying Jesus (i.e., Jesus wasn't bringing the military revolt against the Romans that Judas was expecting).

The claymation is excellent, and the regular animation is an interesting effect. I've never seen both formats used in one movie. It's quite creative.

Summary: True To The Story!
Review: This movie was a major blessing and portrays the true life of Jesus through clay modeling as well as beautiful CG animation. I honestly didn't expect for the resurrection and certain other scenes to be included, and I expected it to be extremely watered-down as it might be "too offensive" for some. Thankfully, though, it wasn't watered down and was very scripture-based. I recommend this to anyone!
