Summary: Mark Shera, Love You ;)
Review: I am so excited to see that the first season of SWAT is now on DVD. As a teenager, I never missed seeing the show in the 1970's, because of Mark Shera playing a character in it. Even bought all the 16 Magazine's and Tiger Beat's with Mark in them, too. He is such a doll. Of course, after Swat was cancelled, Mark was a co-star in the Barnaby Jones TV Series. What I wonder is where you are now? Are you still acting?
Anyway, I just ordered the DVD set and when they arrive here I know I will love seeing the episodes again.

Summary: Better than I remembered!
Review: I bought this DVD on a whim really, but it has turned out to be one of my favorites! The teamwork these guys show, and the spot moments of "action" are habit forming.I never really liked Hondo when it first aired, but after seeing these 1st season episodes over and over,I have to say I like all the guys. With the glaring exception of the same scenes shown over and over again of the SWAT van being driven down the same streets and those rifles being grabbed with the 5 guys running to the van,its typical 70s fare....but there's nothing wrong with that! The catchy music will grab you too...shame a CD isnt offered with the soundtrack. The 2nd season better be coming soon,I may wear out this set!!! Buy this DVD set and "roll with the guys of Olympic SWAT"!!!

Summary: S.W.A.T.
Review: I didn't get to experience S.W.A.T. during its first run, considering I was still in diapers. I first became familiar with the all-time classic theme song through a CD titled Kurtis Blow Presents: The History of Rap Volume 1. Then these past few years I would catch a rerun of the show every once in a great while on TV Land. I really dug the stories, the characters, the action and the funky 70s score. And then there's that awesome opening title sequence! If you're a fan of the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" music video, you'll get a kick out of it for sure. S.W.A.T. is definitely a show that was a product of its time, but yet ahead of its time as well. When I heard that Columbia TriStar would be releasing the first season to DVD, I couldn't wait to get it. Since I had only seen a couple of episodes prior to buying this set, I'm seeing most of these episodes for the first time ever. It's like watching a new show. I hope Columbia TriStar announces the second season pretty soon.

Review: I got the dvd set for Christmas. I just finished watching it again, and will start again on it soon. I loved this show when it was on tv, and then was thrilled to receive the dvd set. It is great, crystal clear picture. I remember all the episodes. Robert Urich was my fav actor in the series. Though James Colemen, Mark Shera, Rod Perry and of course Steve Forrest were great also. I hope they put all the seasons on dvd. This is one dvd set that will not disapoint any serious S.W.A.T fan.

Summary: Loved season 1--now where's season 2?!?
Review: I got this for Father's Day this year and the nostalgia trip was incredible! I hadn't seen those opening credits in nearly 30 years. Suddenly, I felt like I was 11 years old again! I realize times and styles change--cop shows are far more realistic now than they were in the 70's. But for those of us who grew up with SWAT, Charlie's Angels, and Starsky & Hutch, the cop shows of the 70's and 80's didn't really go out of style. It's possible to love both types of shows.
My only complaint--WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG TO COME OUT WITH THE SECOND SEASON?!? I keep looking every few weeks but there's no indication that the second season is going to be released. Any news about this would be greatly appreciated.

Summary: I'll take seconds please. . .
Review: I have enjoyed owning and watching the first season as much as I did when it originally aired in the 70s -- take that back, probably have enjoyed it more. Keep hoping that the second season will also be released.

Summary: These DVDs rock
Review: I just finished the 13th episode and I am hoping someone somewhere releases the 2nd and final season of S.W.A.T. Like every good show in the 1970's and early 1980's, you got into the show, even though it may have not had good production value, after you heard the THEME music! I am a child of the 1970s and I am buying EVERYTHING I can find from that era and this is a MUST BUY. I didn't buy my copy from Amazon but I am buying up everything I see on this site. The only thing missing here is a DVD for Wonder Woman and Stone Cold Steve Austin, the 6 million dollar man!

Summary: Are they crazy?
Review: I just read the posting by Mark Shera about not being asked to be in the Movie version of SWAT? Are the producers crazy?!?! I do not know if Mr. Shera was serious, but I might have actually gone to see the film version of SWAT if he had been in it. My first reaction on hearing they were making it was how I was sure they would ruin it, as movie versions of top TV shows usually are and when I heard they had no Dom Luca or someone representing him in the movie, I wrote it off.
The first season in DVD, however is the delight I remember from 1975, when I spent my Saturday nights at age 16 soaking up the action on TV. My discovery of this DVD set at my local Borders has made me happy. Yes, at times it is campy, but so what? It's 70's TV folks! Live a little!

Review: I loved the season one DVD of SWAT. Please release season two!!!! I would love to complete the series. I grew up watching it, even my dad had a old broken down delivery truck placed behind his service station so I could say while some kids had tree houses and clubhouses, I had my own SWAT Truck to play in!!!
