Summary: my eyes have never beheld something so great as this
Review: I believe if I looked in the credits, it wouldnt surprise me to see God was a writer for this show; it is that good. Perhaps the greatest presence on a show in the history of the universe is Samuel Powers (aka Screech); I knew once I had seen his performance in the "Dance Contest" show that I would never have to watch television again. His performance was that brilliant on the greatest stage in history under the most pressure. If you love art and life and kittens, you should buy this immediately.

Summary: Good
Review: This box is pretty good, but could have been excellent with a booklet that described guest stars and a brief synopsis of each episode etc and some chapter stops for each episode would have been nice when you watch more than one episode and want to skip the credits. I give it 5 stars due to most episodes having original scenes put back in that were cut from the tv version due to time. As for the order of the episodes, they ARE correct...They are in the airdate order, some say "King of the Hill" is the pilot, that is incorrect as it is a FLASHBACK where Zack remembers meeting Slater(watch it again you'll hear Zack say "I'll never forget the day Slater showed up" as he gets out of bed deeming the episode a flashback. Each episode is in airdate order and you'll notice this by the way slater isn't involved with jessie right away and has it in for kelly, he later becomes involved with jessie and the show changes. I haven't noticed sound droupout as some have said, the picture quality is pretty good and for ANY fan of the show its a MUST have! No the "Good morning Miss Bliss" episodes arent here because technically they aren't 'saved by the bell' and the saved by the bell title was added later when the show went into reruns. The show is good cheesy fun and for ANY old or new fan of the show and the price isn't bad for a 5 disc box set.

Summary: Favorite Young Adult Series
Review: I've been waiting forever for Saved By The Bell to come out on DVD. And I'm glad there were enough fans still around who wanted the DVD set to be released as well. However, there are many upsetting things about the collection. I thought for sure since Season One and Two where being released on the same set it would include Good Morning Miss Bliss episodes before Slater, Jessie, and Kelly entered the scene and everything was switched around. So I am hoping maybe the set will be released later down the line. I was also hoping for more extra's maybe something to do with the cast and maybe behind the scene's and special things on The DVD. It also seemed at first that the episodes where out of order and some things missing out of the episodes. With that being said up front. I still love the DVD collection. I've watched it many times. It's fun and corny and not a lot of people will get it today, but it's for fans of that generation for sure. You can tell how very new everything was because there are a lot of things to watch in the episodes every once in a while you'd see the microphone's up high bobbling down a little. And a few other mistakes made as well. It's not your typical high school that's for sure. But I love things that bring a lot of memories back to me and at the time it was a fun series compared to the dramatics of Beverly Hills 90210 at the time. You get to love all the characters and you either had friends like them or wished you had relationships and friends and even Principals like that in your world and growing up. But it is worth it. A tad upsetting here and there with the lack of just the episodes on it. But any fan would be pleasantly pleased I think.

Summary: Finally we have SBTB on dvd!!!
Review: I love sbtb and these dvds are great! Although there aren't any bonus features it is still a great buy. You are getting five great discs! I have only noticed one episode that had some editing, but it is something that they now edit on tv too, so it's not really a big deal ( FYI that episode is Jessie's song... Screech is dressed up like a woman and calls himself Sinead O'Connor. The part that is taken out is when Kelly says...you have a few hit songs on the charts you know. :) ). However, these dvds also have some scenes that you cannot find when watching the show on tv ( Watch the Prom episode and others and you will see what I mean ). All and all, great set of dvds for a great show. I can't wait for seasons 3 and 4 to be released!

P.S. In response to some reviews left, the pre-Slater days are not on the dvds because those are technically not SBTB. They are from a show called Good Morning Miss Bliss that originally aired on the disney channel.

Summary: The question surrounding SBTB
Review: There is suppose to be a show where Slater arrives at Bayside for the first time. Somehow I think NBC aired it during the Third Season. If the DVD starts with AC as part of the gang then the storyline is out of order. The order of DVD sets should always be linear- and if the networks got it wrong then you should not want the original airdates. Therefore I must give the set 3 stars. Otherwise I would have kept it and not sold it. SBTB is an American Classic! You'll just have to wait for the second set and piece the correct order together or just punish Lion's Gate for screwing up by not buying it.

Summary: Just like old times...
Review: Saved by the Bell (Seasons 1 & 2) on DVD was one of the best buys I made. Watching this brought back old memories and fun times. Although no special features, the episodes themselves make up for it. I can't wait for the next seasons!

Summary: Seasons 3 & 4!!!
Review: Seasons 3 & 4 will be released on April 27, 2004! I can't wait!! :-)

*Just a side note that I'm adding: These DVDs are edited!! I was watching an old VHS tape with the episode "The Mamas and the Papas" and there was a scene at the very beginning of the episode that was cut from the DVDs! Why are we spending money if they are not going include everything?! I love SBTB, but these DVDs don't do the show justice. Does anyone else know of any other scenes that have been edited?

Summary: missing the "real" season 1
Review: I expected, that season 1 & 2 would be this season with Miss Bliss and the following season. Sadly, this set skips what I think of as the first season.

I realize from other reviews that what I thought was season 1, was actually another show. I'm not surprised, as this season was different, but in the re-runs of Saved By the Bell, it is included, referred to as Saved By the Bell, and has an opening theme song to the show and everything.

To whomever is releasing this series, please release the season preceding these.

Summary: Buyer Beware!
Review: I gave this DVD set 3 stars because only 3 of the DVDS worked! Disc 1 & 4 froze after the NBC logo. A quick email to Amazon.com had a replacement in the mailbox 3 days later. Guess what? Discs 1 & 4 from the replacement froze! Great job by Amazon but apparently a shoddy manufacturing job by Lion's Gate!
